Be that as it may, ask yourself, what have we've done to really deserve their full love and adulteration? This would be the second time mortals would be allowed the gift of the gods after fixing the mortals mistakes. They may want to take a more backseat role just to see how the mortals act this time, under different circumstances. A test, if you will. What you perceive them as being "assholes" could also just very well be their own cynical belief thay mortals will once again fail their expectations. Demanding and aloof they may be, if we can rise to their challenges, they will think differently than before. With any luck, they may even see us in a positive light. But how can they show faith in us, if we do not give faith in them?
