Original characters are not somehow superior to characters from franchises. Many people enjoy taking a character from a franchise to play if they enjoy that franchise.

i was thinking of having a different char that made alpha and just let her go to see what she'd do.

it's just annoying to me that certain people will literally copy-paste chars from a series without any personal touches at all...
