(17) Spirit: Vladimir, the Crimson Reaper Type: Mahozoku, Bukizoku Spiritual Powers: Blood's Essence - Factoring majorly from his Spirit's past, Alucard's powers are both dangerous and awe-inspiring in nature. To put it in simple terms, Alucard has direct control over his blood, and the mystical Essence of Blood that flows throughout the universe. The power is mystical and spiritual in nature, rather than a physical type of power that ties directly to Earth. By using this power, Alucard calls upon the blood from his surroundings, or even his own blood, for different uses. The blood, once called upon by him, is revitalized with his essence, allowing it to become free-flowing, harder, sharper, stronger, and gain magical properties. This allows him to travel through puddles of blood as if they were portals, create living things to attack on his behalf, utilize blood to create different weapons and appendages made of blood itself, become blood himself, and a variety of other uses. He cannot control the blood inside of other Connectors or humans, however. It is Blood Magic, basically, extremely deadly and potent. Due to this power, Alucard cannot die from blood loss. He's also resistant to pain, and uses pain, and the blood that comes with it, to fuel his attacks. Appearance: Alucard stands at an even 6", weighing 140 odd pounds. His hair is a natural bone-white, and his eyes an intimidating crimson, both natural due to him being born an albino. His skin is pale, unnaturally pale even, as if his blood is nonexistent, although his healthy demeanor quickly contradicts this fact. His build is that of something you would see on a dancer, or a swimmer, with naturally lithe and slender muscles that cords with sinewy strands. His choices of clothing is usually something practical, yet formal, and more often than not it's covered by his travelling over-coat, anyways. A comforting, yet durable white dress shirt, a crimson tie, sleek pants, and shiny black boots. His over-coat is long, reaching to his ankles, made of shiny black leather and cotton. Personality: Although his thoughts and personality is his own, Alucard has definitely taken on a personality oddly similar to that of his spirit, someone he's been connected with since even before birth. Naturally a gentleman first and foremost, Alucard regards everyone with the same natural outlook he looks at everything with. Calm, regal crimson irises stares out through bone-white eyelashes at everything, giving it a casual, yet observatory once over that carries a sinister foreboding, something that usually psyches out most when he glares. Alucard is a polite young man on the bare surface, not afraid to kiss the hand of another when greeting, though with his politeness he carries a sort of measured arrogance that seems to be more for show rather than actual childish cockiness. Every move he makes is thought of before he actually makes it, hence his calm, yet long strides and intelligent nature. He was taught to be a noble by his parents, but taught to be a Reaper by the thoughts in his mind, leading him to be a hybrid of the two. Underneath his cold, yet gentleman-like behavior hides another part of him. Complete and utter apathy to any natural human. Yes, while Alucard may treat other Connectors with a calm, detached, and cold friendliness one would expect someone of his appearance to ooze, he has a different mindset to humans. To him, they are nothing more than fleshbags to harvest the sweet nectar of life from - Pigs, basically. On the outside he may treat them the same, but on the inside...he's thinking of a million ways to torture them slowly and agonizingly. Over-all, on the surface he is a gentleman. A coldly efficient and intelligent one, but an aristocratic gentleman regardless. Dig a little deeper, and you scratch his core - a sociopathic, blood-loving Connector who detests humans on a disturbing level. He has no moral compass, though he goes strictly by a few rules of honor that's been etched into his brain. Killing humans, or even other Connectors if it comes down to it, is like swatting a fly to him. Though it may seem as if he has no warmth - no desire to love, Alucard is actually a hopeless romantic, be it as contradicting as it may seem. 'Hopeless' is a great way of putting it, as there's no legitimate way for Alucard to have an actual lover. His soul thirsts for blood, the misty vapors, and sustenance, a side-effect of his specific spirit. He will always be a danger to those around him. Over the years, he's learned to control these desires, but being the hopeless romantic that he is, Alucard has decided to not even risk it. Biography: 'He was originally born in the Nesterov Clan...with his mother, father, and sister...' Remi Von Verisupte and Maria Von Verisupte were both well-known individuals in the entirety of the Nesterov clan. Wealthy, due to Sir Verisupte owning a blossoming business that still goes on even after he retired, and due to Madam Verisupte being the co-owner of that same business. The business, a blossoming company that took in wandering Connectors whom were either exiled from their former clan, or simply left for a personal reason, and gave them food, shelter, and an education, was a business that garnered thousands of dollars from charity, supporters, and general people who believed that the business owner(s) were a chivalrous and kind people. Of course, Sir and Madam Verisupte were not as kind and as chivalrous as most led them to believe. The power couple were greedy, conniving folk that operated the scenes of their business, Connector Inn, in private. Every single person that was taken off the street, found in a Human school, or generally found alone, hungry, and tired were brought into the warm, futuristic, and inviting doors of the Inn...and officially slaved off. Not slaved off to work in some camp, or slaved off for butchery and cannibalism. No, they were slaved off to a...certain organization, to be brainwashed and minimally trained to be nothing but pawns/grunts in the wide range of things. An organization so shrouded in mystery that no one suspected the fact that Sir and Madam Verisupte could have had a hand in the small decrease in Connector population. It wasn't even a dent; just a literal quarter of one percent. Small enough to go unnoticed, especially with the large amount of support their business gathered, but just big enough to satisfy the Kimera Tenma. It was years later, after their selling of slaves that a surprised happen. A surprised that was stoically accepted and received. Sir and Madam Verisupte were bad, slimy people - sure. They might have been incredibly handsome and beautiful respectively, but that didn't change their evil spirits. It also didn't change their power. Being the Connectors of powerful spirits Hades and Mehrunes Dagon respectively, Sir and Madam Verisupte were a force to be reckoned with, being comparable to some of the more powerful leaders of Lyranias. A heir was the exact something they needed to give them that extra 'oomph' in power. They were already proud owners of a popular business, valued members of the Nesterov Council, and admittedly useful pawns of the Kimera Tenma, so what more could they ask for? A prodigous heir in the form of a white-haired, crimson-eyed baby, that's what. Early life for Alucard was mechanical, cold, and lonely. His parents saved face in public, treating him like the perfect little toddler, but when hidden inside the gaping maw of their manor...it was nothing but absolute Hell. He would train, exercise, learn languages that most adults didn't know...taught mannerisms, certain behaviour traits...English, Math, Science...it was all forced into his head at an early age. Stress was getting to him, and he would even have minor panic attacks at the early age of 5, for crying out loud! That was, until he got into contact with his Spirit. Vladimir was....both a positive influence, and a negative one. With the arrival of his Spirit's mental communication, his powers were forcefully brought into his life. The thirst for the misty essence of blood...for some reason, despite knowing that killing was wrong, Alucard caught onto the act of draining things - animals, insects, corpses - of their blood, and storing it into his own Essence, strengthening him with every kill. Vladimir was his mentor, teaching the young boy the ways of the Crimson Reaper, and generally unloading and carrying the burden of stress that his parents forced upon him. On a mental perspective, sans the stress-relief, communicating with his Spirit has given Alucard a different perspective on life. Vladimir believed that Humans were weak-willed and worthy of death, and Alucard quickly glued onto this belief, his personality shifting slightly from it's quiet, meek, and robotic functionality into Vladimir's more sleek, cold, and serpent-like idealism. Eventually, a whispered plan was breathed into his ears, and Alucard began preparing for the turning point in his life... By this time, Sir and Madam Verisupte knew what was going on. They allowed the Spirit of the Reaper to teach their son, mostly out of pure laziness rather than actual belief in the Spirit. Long ago they had cast out their Spirit's influence, permanently blocking out their voices with a dangerous ritual, so they did not realize how much of a mistake their ignorance would cost them. Alucard could still remember it all so vividly... 'Alucard could hear their muffled, calm breathing. It had a lilting tip to it, and the 12 year old instantly knew what that meant. "They are sleeping..." he whispered silently, crimson eyes opening abruptly. Although his bone-white hair covered his face in a shroud of black, if one looked closely, they would see soft pale lips slightly tip upwards in a smirk - a smirk that did not belong on the young male's aristocratic, child-like features. The boy calmly flicked the blood-red comforter off of his slender frame, stretching the minimal amounts of kinks out of his muscles before turning to the side and standing up. The feeling of his pale feet touching the cold wooden floor momentarily shocked him, before his blood started to circulate, surrounding his skin in an invisible callous of Rei. "Is it time?" he murmured into the silence. Crimson-red life blood pooled from thin-air, forming a ritualistic circle of blood on the wooden floor. Alucard stared at the rune, before smiling softly and gazing around. An ethereal, silky smooth voice, abnormally sounding similar to Alucard's own voice in a decade or two, sounded within the boy's mind. 'It...is time, Apprentice.' If anything, his smile turned into a small grin, and Alucard stepped into the puddle of bubbling red essence. His form was momentarily turned into wisps of blood-red Rei, before both he, and the circle of blood, disappeared. ---- He reappeared within the darkest corner of his parents' room, the biggest room in the house. Wisps of misty blood formed small, tangible wings on the back of the boy's bare back, and silently he flitted over to the king sized bed. He examined his mother first - beautiful, pale skin, dusky black hair...his father's regal features, brownish-gray hair... "I will not miss you...for I am no one's pawn." The wispy red wings abruptly flowed away from his back, turning into twin javelins made of the mystical blood. As Alucard watched, the razor-sharp javelins floated over the foreheads of his parents, just touching the first layer of skin. "Goodbye...forever." Their eyes opened. Alucard smirked. The javelins descended into flesh. Later on in that night, soft laughter could be heard, even as the sky turned a bloody red...' It was that day where he was recruited into the same organization his parents were so 'fond' of. He was taken in by an 'Upper 6', and trained for years, until he could just about hold his own against his mentor without dying instantly. He was then placed into the 'Bottom 6' until he could advance. Alucard accepted these changes, adapting quite readily to everything. His Spirit agreed with the choices, saying that the criminal organisation was trustworthy enough...until Alucard could find a way to transcend his current realm of prowess... Now, Alucard travels mostly, doing the jobs assigned to him by the Boss, although the jobs are few and far inbetween at times, leaving him with a lot of free time when not managing the business he inherited from his dead parents. He keeps up the charade of an 'emancipated orphan-turned adult' in the Clan, whenever he's actually there, of course.
