Howdy; I stumbled here and thought the RP was an interesting one. Never really tried an academy setting, and the chip premise is neat. I saw you had six accepted char's on the roster and unless you've got another pending, I'd like to hop in. In the meantime, I'll play along:
1: "Aristo" is a shortened version of "Aristocrap," which was the first internet moniker I started to go by regularly. I thought it was witty at the time, then it made me feel dumb and I dropped the ending. 2: Mecha is likely my favorite genre; I adore Gundam (mostly just the Universal Century era), Patlabor, VOTOMS, Macross and so on. I'm more of a real robot fan than a super robot fan, but I like to dabble in Getter Robo, Magizer Z, Super Robot Wars, etc. I have a little collection of mecha figures that dot my room; mostly Gundam, but with other series thrown in here and there. I've got a few Gunpla kits that need to be worked on. I'm in the middle of a Zaku II, but I need to get my hands on paint, Gundam markers and weathering material. I'm a Muv-Luv fan as well; got into it for the mecha and stayed for the story. I'm still working my way through Alternative, but have Extra and Unlimited out of the way. I've been reading a bit of the expanded Alternative material, like Schwarzesmarken. I haven't dabbled in any other VNs besides Muv-Luv, however. 3: I have a love-hate affair when it comes to anime; I enjoy the art and animation, but I'm partial to more thought-provoking titles geared towards older audiences, like Ghost in the Shell: SAC and the like. I usually shy away from the mainstream crowds and the bright, carefree atmosphere of anime-cons (especially some of the otakus who frequent them). However, I'm opening up more to less serious series and I've always had a bit of a guilty pleasure in ecchi. 4: I've played FPS games competitively on the PC; mainly the Battlefield series. Now I'm focusing on Ghost Recon Phantoms. I still play older anime titles on the PS2 for nostalgia. 5: I listen to many kinds of music, but have been centered around metal for a long time. I listen to power-, black-, death, thrash-, doom-, and heavy- subgenres. Other genres of music include classical, folk/traditional (Middle Eastern world, Japanese, Chinese, European, etc.), and a hint of Korean and Japanese rock/pop.
