You've obvious have never read Greek Myths if you believe that because they are powerful that they need to be responsible. Besides, if they were then magic would only be given to those they believed worthy of it...how many of our PCs do you honestly think fit that bill? I know Alaira and Grey doesn't because they have flaws like the rest of the PCs.
