Name: Kazuki Tanaka (Western), Tanaka Kazuki (Japanese) Age: 17 Gender: Male Personality: Kazuki is soft-spoken and more reserved than many of his classmates. He's not one to speak without having first thought about what it is he's going to say, and for this reason he often ends up over-analyzing conversations and not talking at all. That's not to say he doesn't enjoy being social; he's just not as vocal around others, and when he is, he's either with good friends or expressing a strongly-rooted opinion. Kazuki maintains a calm, even-tempered disposition. If he's angry, the average person is likely not to notice at a glance. For the most part, it's difficult to throw him off-balance. Despite his quiet personality, Kazuki is not without passion. He has a silent disdain for the status quo; the disparity between the rich and poor as dictated by the ruling elite. While he believes in making do with what one has, he does not believe the chips should have the strong impression on social class that it does. However, just because that is what his gut tells him, it is unlikely that he would expend the effort and go out of his way to make a change in the system. When it comes to his friends and those he keeps close, he's much more open and talkative than usual. Kazuki enjoys company and amusement, and is usually willing to listen to others, even if he does not explicitly say so. Kazuki is an admirer of music and aesthetics, and has a particular love for food in general. In his spare time, its not uncommon to find him reading historical non-fiction, scifi or fantasy books, or typing away at his computer. He frequents comic book and hobby stores, as well as arcades to pass the time. Within Kazuki's reserved nature is a bustling imagination, always thinking on-the-go. Bio: Kazuki's family is relatively well-off. It may not be at the top of the food chain, but sits comfortably at the upper-middle. His father works in the investment business and his mother co-runs a local food mart operation. For the most part, the Tanaka family has largely been able to stay out of the struggle between the impoverished and the wealthy, free to concentrate on its own interests. From childhood to his present age of seventeen, Kazuki has not had to worry about the clothes on his back or where his next meal will come from, and for that, he is thankful. Kazuki has a Battle Deck, a gift from his father after pulling some strings within his company circle, however, he does not have a Chip to use with it. Rather than obtain a Chip for their son, Mr. and Mrs. Tanaka would rather see their son obtain one with his own hands than give him an easy ticket to prosperity. Another reason for withholding a Chip from Kazuki is they feel he should be the one to choose which style of powers he uses, seeing it as an important feature of one's character. Kazuki finds it a little superstitious, but honoring his parents' wishes, he strives to find a Chip to call his own.
