There is indeed a lot of Junk in the EU. But there are also some Jewels. Freedom from having to follow everything there is only good in our opinion. Even outside the rare jewels, there are a number of fairly good ideas that could do with better implementation. At least in recent years, Disney has shown they can make pretty good movies out of ideas, so we have no doubt they'll do a good job here too.

Getting rid of George Lucas will help a lot wethinks. Some of the most annoying elements we've seen throughout things like the clone wars series have turned out to stem from him. Like that hopeless "darksaber" concept, or the renaming of Korriban to a conglomerate of Angband & Mordor.

Our advice to the worst critics here? Give it time, let them tell their story before you scream and howl about them ruining things with their story.
