Kijani was at a bit of a loss. She was embarrassed. Once she'd warmed and stretched, she'd moved onto the weights. Her weak point had been found. While she saw the other students lifting 100 pounds or more easily, she could barely do 50. She felt her thin arms wobbling as she tried to work out. It just wasn't fair. Her body wasn't built for raw strength. Speed, sure. Dodging, of course. But she wasn't going to win a fight by punching anyone's lights out. That was a job for a simple fighter, she was rather more complex. After tying back her dreadlocks, she went running. That, at least, freed her mind a bit, and she sat down once it was over, hoping no one had really seen her failure.
