The emperor must've had godlike speed and power to be able to separate Mithias from the cyborg girl. The vampire did not expect this, but no matter. Mithias landed in a crouching position, his blades within easy reach. He lifted his head, eyes still aglow, while blood dripped from his fanged maw. Blood spattered across the ground between them and it appeared that Nathan was attempting to touch it with some kind of gauntlet on. A strange gesture, Mithias thought as his flesh began to heal, reforming a working mouth. He tried to re-tame his anger and bloodthirst, but it wasn't easy. Nathan, and his inept bodyguard, were not the intruders here and did not deserve to be attacked. Finally, when he once again had a mouth, he spoke, "Nathan! ... We need your help."
