Sydney was soon lead into the dining hall, where it was clear something recently had happened. Sydney rolled her eyes, not understanding why some people had to draw so much attention to themselves. However if the guards' attention was on any other inmate than herself, it would be a lot easier to escape. So, she just shrugged and walked over to the line and took a tray. 

When Sydney had food on her tray she scanned the dining hall before she sat down by a table at the far end of the room, giving her a perfect view of it and the inmates. She examined the inmates in the dining hall, trying to get a good picture of what kind of people she would spend some time with until she got out.
