Mega Man and Dark Souls share a SHIT TON of traits. Your hero is not the strongest, fastest, or most powerful. They're not the bravest, smartest, or luckiest. They're just the most persistent. They share the trait of being able to come back for more. To return to the fight and try again and again. Like a wave crashing against a cliffside. Eventually the cliff will fall to the waves. Your enemies are so much stronger than you are, they're faster and can do things you couldn't even imagine doing. And yet when you beat them, you get something. A fraction of their power. And you improve because of it. And you're between two sides of a war. It seems like you're fighting for good, no matter what you do. But in the end you don't ever really accomplish anything. And you only question whether or not what you did was right. This is why I should never be left with my thoughts, I overanalyze simple shit.
