That terrifying moment when something loomed over you, casting a large shadow of Lexi’s small body. She turned, a horrible looking man stood over her and before she could say anything he grabbed her by her throat lifting her off the ground as she kicked her legs in an attempt to make contact with him but nothing seemed to be working against the suite he had on. She swung her legs over and over again her hands attempted to pull his talons of fingers free from her neck. Her vision was blurry but the face of the creature before her seemed familiar and at that moment of getting dizzy from lack of oxygen to her brain, she couldn’t make out who it was. Lucky for her brain she was dropped soon and the thing seemed to stumble backwards, as if coming to the realization of who she was before it screamed at her to get in the corner. He followed her as she walked slowly, by his command, towards her classmates; she could hear the limp bodies of her parents being dragged behind her by the monster. Her classmates had a mixed of expressions, some were surprised to see her here, others were scared that she showed up and others looked like they applauded her bravery. When she arrived to the group, she turned around to face the creature that threw her parents’ limp bodies to the ground and began to tie her wrists behind her back. The look of sheer anger moved across her face as she felt the rope go around her waist. It wasn’t until she was face forward again that her eyes widened at the arrival of Spider-Man. This was both good and bad. As the man tumbled backwards he ended up letting go of the rope. She pulled the rope with her foot and kicked it behind her towards her classmates. The exchange between the two was somewhat humorous until the creature looked at her, her body visible shook from a mix of disgust and fear. But as Spider-Man called him Rick Archer, the whole room gasped, even Lexi looked stunned and stumbled backwards into the students, which is just were she wanted to be. Very quietly she instructed someone to untie the ropes. It took three of the football players pulling at the knot to undo it due to how tight he tied it but at the end of it, they got her out in time for the glider to head for them. Before she could say anything, Spider-Man had pulled it out of the way. Her gaze followed the glider; her mind buzzing of all of her electronic knowledge. Though her thoughts were broken when the creature said that he would go after Peter. “NO!!!” She screamed, the first time she had shown pure terror about the situation. He was at home or at least on his way home from getting Aunt May, she couldn’t allow them to get hurt. He had to be stopped right here and right now. Those thoughts were broken when Spider-Man shouted for everyone to leave. She grabbed two football players and convinced them to carry her parents outside. She was the last to leave the room, making sure that everyone was out of the gym, but it didn’t stay that way for long. She had gone to the opening the wall where the glider sat quietly awaiting the remote control orders from the creature. His suite was his power and part of that power came from the glider. Her attention was one the two fighting for a moment before she took a chance and climbed onto the glider. Her hands moving quickly over the panels, There has to be one that lifts, just one that peeks inside. She thought, her mind racing and her heart was pounding, her biggest inspiration to do this was to stop the creature from having any transportation to get to Aunt May and Peter. Her small hands found a panel that was slightly loose and she pulled with all her might, the piece finally giving and revealing the insides filled with wires and levers. She paused for a moment examining it, well if this wasn’t going to kill her it would be a hell of a thing to take apart and see how it works. All the cords were incased in rubber, assuming she did touch the wires after she yanked them out, she shouldn’t get electrocuted. Taking in a deep breath, she reached in and gave the cords a large yank. Even with her small hands, she grabbed a large bundle of wires. For a moment, the machine stayed fine, which she wasn’t sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing. Well it turned out to be a bad thing. The machine started to shake wildly with her on it, a small shriek left her as the machine took off into the air, flying around the gym targeting both Spider-Man and Rick on multiple passes before stopping in the middle and shaking violently again. Her knuckles turned white as she gripped onto the glider for dear life, it stopped again and turned, zooming out the door and taking off towards the sky. Stopping above the school it make another violent attempt to get her off before it stopped completely, hovering in the air as the police spotlight hit her. Thinking she was okay, she loosened her grip on the device before it started make a noise, a noise everyone hears in movies that tends to me a single bad thing, something was going to explode. A small little screen turned upwards, showing a countdown from 10. “Oh no…” she muttered as she quickly got to her feet. The thing was surprisingly stable as she walked quickly to each edge, taking her the choices she had. It would be nice for her school to have a pool but no! It couldn’t. 5…. 4….. 3…. It got too close, she didn’t care anymore, she took some distance back and ran, leaping off as the time hit 1… 0. BOOM, the explosion through her off the course she had picked with the large bushes and knocked her away from it. Well at least she got to kiss Peter before she died right?
