Peter remembered sitting on top of the Empire State Building, eating a hotdog (they were free for him) on a rather cold New York night, wishing he had a bit more of an exciting day... Now that he was getting punched in the face, he would take the petty thieves any day. It was intense. He had quick reflexes, and Spider-Man could dodge a lot of his punches. He was incredibly strong, and fast... and then his spider senses went crazy. He died a backwards somersault, the glider going past his head. There went his ride... and he was rather angry. "The itsy" punch! "Bitsy!" Jab! "Spider!" upper cut. Spiderman flew backwards, but shot a web to catch himself, swinging with full momentum and coming to kick him in the back of the head. He tossed something like orange tennis balls, and his spider senses told him he didn't want to find out what happened when they touched the ground. He swung around, the Goblin laughing. "Oh you want to play that way... Not all my toys are broken...!" He threw more metal orange tennis balls at him, and instead of exploding, they turned into little helicopters with razor sharp blades, going straight for him. He swung off a web, leaping in the sky, everything going slow motion as he did his best to dodge the balls and the glider. He missed two of the balls, but one of the glider's wings hid him, and a blade cut across his mask and face. His eye was now showing, the part of the mask hanging down the other part, the Goblin cheered. He noticed that Lexi and the glider were gone... He dodged a lunge at him, shooting webs at his feet to keep him immobilized as he searched for Lexi. His spider senses were never wrong before. He saw the glider, and Lexi falling. He shot up after her, swinging as fast as he could. Then it exploded. Everything went in slow motion. Lexi was going to land on the floor with so much force that she would be killed.... He shot a web at her, and pulled her towards him. He grabbed her in his arms, covering her from the fiery explosion, his suit now had burn arms on his back, the other side of his mask was smoking. And just how he broke Lexi's fall from slipping while painting, he did the same thing, landing hard on the ground, sliding on the grass behind the school breathing heavily... not wanting to let go of Lexi... He could barely see anything, his back ached, but the feel of her safe and breathing was a huge relief. "How do you feel now?" Came the terrifying voice. Peter was going in and out of consciousness, but he saw the Goblin walking towards him, an evil grin on his face. He held on to Lexi. Not wanting to let go of her. she was safe.... he, on the other hand, wasn't. "You are now broken. Injured, and barely strong enough to stay awake... all to save a few useless lives." He said, kneeling down, not paying attention to Lexi. His hatred for Spider-Man was a much larger fire. "Lets see..." He said with happiness. "Who the itsy bitsy spider is before we squish him..." He said slowly, his nails digging through the bottom of his mask and neck, then ripping it off to reveal Peter Parker's face. A large cut across his cheek, covered in ash, his mouth bleeding, his hair burnt at some parts and one of his eyes swollen..He just stared at the Green Goblin, seeing he was just as shocked as Lexi... Lexi... he could still smell vanilla as Lexi stared at him... he remembered the feel of her lips... the years of talking to each other, and watching movies... helping Uncle Ben fix up a car... learning how to take photos with his Uncle... the voice mail. "Time to die, PARKER!" He screamed with a laugh, raising his foot. With the last of his strength Peter held on to Lexi and rolled away, and as she was on the bottom of him, he let go of her, and shot a web at his raised foot. He yanked, standing up. As the Goblin flew towards him, Peter Slammed his fist down in his chest as hard as he possibly could. All his anger and frustration and sadness all coming in that one punch, he let out a huge scream at the top of his lungs. He hit the ground, leaving a dent, Peter panting over him, jumping on top of him and punching him in the face a couple times, anger from the loss of his Uncle, years of humiliation, the way he treated Lexi... Then he stopped, not wanting to kill him... Although he punched him rather hard, the serum made Rick Archer simply be unconscious from those heavy blows... It was over.... No casualties... No one he loved died... He stood up slowly, using the last of his web cartridges to wrap him up in a cocoon of web, over and over again until he ran out... Then he hesitated, then glanced over at Lexi. expecting the worst.
