Kenny laughed at his description of District 80. It didn't even come close to what life was really like there. He placed a hand on Gio's shoulder, and stopped them both. "I was in district 80, Gio. The things I've done, what I had to do to survive....nobody should go through that. My hood?" He pointed to the hood made of burlap, resting atop his shihakushō. "It is the only remnant I keep from my days there, reminding me of my humble beginnings, as well as what I'm capable of. " Kenny took a breath, and lowered the Hannya half mask, and his hood, showing a scar that ran from forehead to collarbone, just beside his missing eye. "This was a result of beating received daily. Sometimes they had knives. My Seireitei file says I come from district 63, but I didn't go there till I was 140. I was just a kid, but I crawled my way out of that hell for my dream. I know of only one other soul reaper to come from District 80; in fact, we grew up together. The difference is, is he would have died there had he not been adopted. My point is this: there, you don't eat, you starve. You don't fight, you kill. There, it is kill-or-be-killed. Sometimes death is what it takes to get by, other times it's the only way to eat; kill someone and steal their food. My name, like I said, is Kakashi. I was born nameless. In Zaraki District north, your name is earned. Mine means Scarecrow." Again he sighed, and ripped the Shihakushō top away, leaving the hood, mask, and wrapped hands. He turned to District 1, and bade Gio to follow. He was going to teach Gio to survive.
Gio wasnt exactly surprised by his partners "humble beginnings" nor was the fact that he lied so much. If he was speaking the truth now, the lies made a decent amount of sense. It just made getting the job done simpler. well theoretically anyway. But Gio got the feeling that this trip down memory was going to lead to more problems than solutions. the biggest indication of that was when the man took the lead and started beckoning Gio. This was already a ghost hunt. Now he was about to turn it into something else. He sighed but remained silent for now
