Any Sudanese reading this, please don't be offended. -On the other hand, it does raise awareness that the place exists, and does boast an oil field, and probably one of the most diverse ecosystems in Africa; hampered only by warfare and a crippled infrastructure (likely caused by populations settling too close together due to infrastructure issues [Wikipedia cites a lack of improved water-sources and suitable wet-season river-crossings] which cannot be improved by outside assistance due to debt caused by punitive tariffs).
