~Ryuu Yamauchi~ Ryuu stretched his back, leaving his Math class with a loud yawn. It had brought pain upon his head, but so far, it seemed that his knowledge in Math did not falter. It was a good thing, because the several subjects he excelled in at least gave him some intellectually redeeming qualities. Unfortunately, he was overshadowed by his own violent persona from his middle school days. He wanted to change, and he was. The last thing he wanted to happen to him was become the person he was before he came to the academy. And not to mention, but his sister would kill him for that if he ever did go back to his old days. He left his class, heading on to particularly nowhere. He had no idea as to what to do right at the moment. --- ~Earth - Subway~ A large portal made of hellfire blinked into existence, roaring alongside the trains passing by. Out of the portal came Thane, the ninja clad with a hellish uniform. The masked warrior's face had scrunched up to the point where even the phantom warlord, Idolon, might begin to feel concerned for his wellbeing. He had been sent along with Lucifer's footsoldiers to supervise their performance, and how an academy's students would be able to handle them. This academy- Athalia Academy, to be more specific- had students that carried powers with high amounts of potential. The races of these students ranged from simple humans with weak powers to holy angels. Angels. Thane did not know whether to hate them or not. They always fought him, no matter what kind of method he used to approach them. It made him feel fearsome, and... omnipotent against his enemies. Something told him that what he was doing was actually disgracing his own clan, but then again, they were already dead. Vengeance would quell his soul. Thane, however, actually hated Apophis more than angels. The hollow man had followed him for whatever reason he had. The masked warrior never enjoyed Apophis' presence in the army of Hell. Many things about him were frightening to even think of, after all. He enjoyed wearing skin, covering his real identity with an incredibly crude mask. Apophis was always killing and eating the soul of something whenever Thane passed by his chambers, which only meant one thing: Apophis either kept a whole storage of things to eat, or he constantly left Hell for more souls to collect. The masked warrior chose to believe in the latter, because while Apophis had never actually lied to anyone so far, there was always the chance of him laying waste upon targets they were not supposed to kill. He genuinely hoped that Apophis accidentally killed one of the academy's students. That would mean that the ninja would not have to deal with the hollow being ever again. After crossing through the portal as well, Apophis grinned, letting the cheeks that did not belong to him stretch into a wide smile. "Quite the mess you made here, Thane." Thane, not bothering to turn to him, simply nodded, finally finding where one of his shortswords had landed on earlier in his encounter. Walking over to one of the fallen angels' bodies, he forcefully pulled out the blade, dusting red stuff off of it. He hated it whenever his retrievable weapons ended up in some of the most complex places in human-like bodies. "The academy is a several miles away from here," Thane said with his deathly, echoing voice. "If we don't waste time, we should get there in around ten minutes." At this, Apophis raised an eyebrow. "But we have footsoldiers." "...I have not thought about that. For once, you're right. I couldn't care any less about them, though." As three footsoldiers cautiously entered the subway, nearly petrified by the mess around them, Apophis walked over to one of the bodies. This body had no proper head, or rather, it had no head at all. "Thane," Apophis said, turning to the masked warrior that refused to look at him. "I DO have my own reasons for coming here. But I'm also here to ensure that your anger won't get out of hand for some reason." "My anger? I'm here to make sure that you won't piss the lord off." Thane retorted immediately. His face darkened, finally looking at Apophis with a glare, as he simply said, "And you're just planning on pillaging everything you can find. That's worse than having my anger go out of control, fool." Apophis's mouth stretched, reaching up to the sides of his eyes, letting some of his "skin" slightly rip. "Oh, don't worry, Thane," he said, beginning to head out of the subway. It was that very look Thane did not trust: the look of greed and corrupt power. "I'm just following orders, after all." The three soldiers shuddered at Apophis' last statement. They suspected that something terrifying was going to occur soon. But for now, they needed to get going. Getting out of the subway decorated with guts did sound like a plausible thing. Somewhere in the subway, a small snifle was unnoticed by Hell's men.
