"Hey! Who are you calling "crazy lady"?" Despite her words, Kiara couldn't keep the grin off of her face as she crawled closer to lay beside the two. Staring up into the sky, she noticed that she sun was just peaking itself out of the clouds, showing off a brand new day. Beautiful. Simply beautiful. They had really done it. At the questioning of the story, Kiara sat up and raised an eyebrow at Vincent. "You told her a story to keep her quiet? Figures." She too turned to the distance, wondering what they'd do with their lives now. Fight another supernatural being? Hell no! Not in these conditions at least. Looking down at her wounds, she sighed loudly. "Yeah. . .this could prove to be a-" A warm light encompassed them both, spreading from every joint of their body into their very souls. Or rather, it felt like that. Looking down on herself, Kiara saw all of the cuts freshly healed for the last time. She glanced at Vincent, seeing the dead leg now pulsing with blood and life. "Heh, well what do you know? You must like us alot, huh Sandal?" She turned to faced the enigmatic being who was apparently a guardian angel. Literally. Sandal walked up to the two, a bored expression on his face. "Eh. It's all part of the job. You two owe something from me since you did the Big Man a favor." Death crossed her arms and pouted up at the cowboy. "Next time tell me when you're gonna spare some lives. I need to meet a daily quota you know!" Sandal raised his hands up innocently in mock apology. "Yes, yes, I'll be sure to do that Mary. Besides, it can't hurt to have a little fun, right?" Funny. Depended on his definition of the word. He gave one last look at the travelers before flickering out of their view. Even so, his voice lingered. "Consider your mission accomplished you two. You can go on with your lives or ride on to seek more adventure. But know this, you have our blessings. Both mine and D's." "Wait!" A pause. Then Sandal re-materialized in front of them again. "Er, is there a problem here?" Now it was Kiara's turn to cross her arms and pout. "The least you could do is explain the "D" joke Sandal. Come on, for us?" So that was what she was worried about? Figures. Sandal took a moment to consider it before finally letting out a huge grin. "Well I guess you two have earned that much. What does "D" stand for? Simple. It stands for "Dad." Kiara's eyes widened at his words. "You. . .you're. . .but. . .you're Je-" Sandal gave them one more wink before disappearing for good. But then again, he was always with them anyway. Always watching over them. Still stunned into silence, Kiara looked at Vincent and then Death in amazement. "He was. . .we just met. . .um, wow. . .Mary, why didn't you tell us?" The young girl sighed. "You never asked. Plus, wasn't it obvious? Jeez, you humans are all slow."
