That awkward moment when you walk into the house to find the person your parents would love to see you be with and you walk in hand and hand with your new boyfriend. Her stomach turned at the sight of Harry, it wasn't that he was a bad looking guy but he wasn't what Lexi found attractive. She always found Peter much more attractive; some people prefer the muscular build while she always favored the thinner taller frame with hidden muscles. And Peter's hidden muscles had so much strength that just made it super-hot. Her parents were set on having their daughter be with Harry who was the next in like to own Oscorp while she was next in line to inherit her family’s law firm and all its clients, including Oscorp. But at least they were kind enough to allow her daughter to make the decision on her own. Really when it came down to it, their daughter’s happiness was important but they felt she needed to be supported as well. Little did they know, if it wasn’t for Peter, she could have burned up in a fire and been taken hostage and god knows what else with the crazy Rick Archer. A large smile grew on her face as Harry spoke to Peter, they had always been friends but Peter and he were closer and it really bothered Peter that he was shipped off to boarding school but, he was back and that’s all that matters. “Mister Osborne.” Lexi said politely to him with a nod, a way she was taught to greet people that were her parents’ clients. “And Mrs. Osborne how wonderful to see both of you and Harry of course! I can’t believe all of you are back in town this is wonderful!” “You said you had something to tell us Lexi dear.” Her mom chimed in from where she was seated sipping on a cup of coffee. “Oh right.” She said being pulled back from her shock of seeing the Osborne family in her house. She held up her hand which held Peter’s. “Peter and I are dating.” While Harry’s parents looked rather stunned, her parents gave gentle smiles of approval, happy that her daughter had found someone that they had liked. Though they’d rather see her with Harry in the fact that the merging of the two companies would be quite a deal, her happiness was much more important and the look on her face was so very happy. “But that detail can wait for another time, we have a lot of catching up to do as I’m sure you four do as well.” With that she took Harry’s hand in her free one. “We’ll be in the sitting room catching up.” She told the adults before dragging the two boys down the hallway and into another room. Letting go of both the guys’ hands she wrapped her arms around Harry’s neck in a tight hug. “I’m so glad you’re back and you can finish the year with us! That’s so exciting. But as for Spider-Man, that’s a whole different web.” As she sat down, she shared a mix of information from the new reports about the Lizard-Man to the fire she had encountered him in, she told him that he agreed if he had time to do short interviews with her for the school paper and that the first one was such a hit that she has to filter through emails from fellow students asking questions and pick out ones to ask the next time he swung by. The look on Harry’s face was a confused one as she sat down on the couch, she had expected Peter to take the place next to her but Harry sat down in it, leaving the love seat completely taken up and forcing Peter to sit somewhere else. As she explained that she expected the encounters to be rare she sent Peter a look of ‘I’m sorry’ to the fact that Harry took the spot she had intended for him and turned her deep blue gaze back to the newly returned friend. She ended the story with a not-so-detailed encounter with Spider-Man and the Goblin before tilting her head, “How was boarding school? Glad to be back?” Her voice was bright and chipper but she couldn’t keep herself from looking over at Peter; a smile just for him curling the corners of her lips before she’d look back at their friend who had begun to speak.
