"there are simpler ways to get information... such as asking" i say evenly and calmly as she finds herself getting the general sense that further poking in wouldn't be suggested.
i offer a scone with a kind smile and say softly "your tea will get cold if you continue to try these mind games... also, as i'm sure you can understand there are certain things in your head you'd most likely not want known i must request that you refrain from poking inside my own head any further for this same reason"
