Player Name: Mattmanganon Character You Wish To Play: Spider-Woman (A.K.A. Jessica Drew) Moral Alignment (Hero, Villain, Walking the Line): Hero Affiliation: Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division (S.H.I.E.L.D.) (Later on, she'll switch over to join S.W.O.R.D.) Character Origin & Backstory: Born in England, Jessica Drew was the daughter of Jonathan Drew, a Brilliant Geneticist that worked on controversial studies of evolution, genetics and cell regeneration. When she was a year old, her parents moved to a small estate on the outskirts of Wundagore Mountain. Within weeks, her father found large amounts of uranium in their property, which gave them the financial resources to build a research facility that could further their research incalculably. Life seemed perfect until little Jessica's 4th birthday, when she became ill, poisoned by the exposure to the Uranium that was so plentiful in their land. Her father, currently working on the regenerative and immunological properties of spider blood, seeing his little girl on her death bed, injected Jessica with an untested serum made with the blood of several endangered species of spiders, in the hopes of stopping the tissue damage and immunizing the girl from the Uranium's effects on her body. He then sealed her in a genetic accelerator created by Herbert Wyndham (A fellow Scientist) to speed the process, but it worked at a very slow rate. forcing her to remain in stasis for decades, her aging greatly slowing. She awoke with no memories of her past, to a world in which both her parents had disappeared mysteriously, and possessing powers that made everyone around her scared and resentful. She spent a lot of time on the streets, but remained behind in the area, Jessica eventually found work as a barmaid in a nearby village. She also experienced her first romance, which ended when it turned out that he was a Vampire... Moments before she was bitten, he had his arm cut off by a man known as Blade, a Vampire hunter that had been tracking him. He kidnapped her and ran, getting to a place he thought was safe, but her fear in the situation accidentally triggered a bioelectric blast that killed her former boyfriend, exploding him into dust. Whitnessed by a local law-man, she was accused of witchcraft and murder, Jessica fled from an enraged mob into the countryside, into the arms of Blade who took her back to his base. Blade trained her in the ways of Vampire Hunting, martial arts, espionage, Her tactics integrated different methods utilized in Karate, Boxing, Capoeira, Judo and swordfighting. Over their many years working together, other powers seemed to make themselves known, such as her Wall-Crawling, Venom blasts and Super-Senses, Blade nicknaming her "Spider-Girl" After many years of fighting alongside him, they finally caught the attention of the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division of the United States Military. The Vampires set a trap for Blade and Jessica to get them onto S.H.I.E.L.D.'s wanted list, by tricking them into killing a number of their familiars in full view of the public, using their super-powers. They were hounded, every corner seemed to have a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent around every corner, they split up to better hide. Unfortunately, this meant that they could no longer count on each other for assistance. Jessica was quickly captured and brought before Nick Fury, who gave her 3 options. 1) Go to a Maximum security prison for the rest of her natural life. 2) Give up Blade's location and help lure him into a trap. 3) Work for them as a spy. Naturally, only one of those options allowed her to continue her work. She was told to take up a special code-name. Her partners nickname for her seemed appropriate. And so, Spider-Woman was born. Powers and Abilities (What can you're character do? What can't they do?): Superhuman Strength: Spider-Woman's muscular density and strength have been extraordinarily enhanced and enable her to lift about 7 tons. Superhuman Speed: Spider-Woman is capable of running and moving at speeds much greater than even the finest human athlete. Superhuman Stamina: Spider-Woman's musculature generates less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the musculature of an ordinary human. She can exert herself at peak capacity for several hours before fatigue begins to impair her. Superhuman Durability: Spider-Woman's body is somewhat tougher and more resistant to injury than an ordinary human's, although she is far from invulnerable. She is capable of withstanding impact forces that would severely injure or kill an ordinary human with only mild to moderate discomfort. Superhuman Agility: Spider-Woman's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels beyond the human body's natural limits. Superhuman Reflexes: Spider-Woman's natural reaction time and reflexes are enhanced to levels beyond the human body's natural limits. Superhuman Flexibility: Spider-Woman's body is extraordinarily limber and her tendons and connective tissues are twice as flexible as the average human being's, despite the augmented musculature and its enhanced strength. Superhuman Senses: Her sense of smell, hearing and sight are far superior to most natural creatures Wall-Crawling: Spider-Woman's limbs can adhere to surfaces via electrostatic attraction. Spider-Woman can hold and carry a considerable amount of extra weight while sticking to walls without falling off; it's safe to assume that the weight she can carry is dozens of times her own, and the limits of how long she can do this before fatigue sets in are still unknown. Venom Blasts: Her body possesses an inordinate amount of bio-electricity that she has learned to channel and discharge through her hands, in controlled bursts of what she calls "Venom Blasts". These energy projections vary in power; they mostly affect the nervous system in humans. Spider-Woman can regulate them from simply a stun to potent enough to kill an average-sized man in the same way that a lightning bolt could kill him. Pheromone Secretion: Her metabolism generates certain types of pheromones that can create fear, elicit attraction and/or repulsion on others, depending on unknown factors which might include gender and mood. Sample Post: New York City, they say the city never sleeps. Well, tonight, nobody could sleep. A large scale arms-deal going down for a man the locals are calling "The Kingpin." He was meeting in one of the cities swankier restaurants. He was taking no chances, the Law officers in his pocket were working beats that would give him the optimal amount of protection. He had even hired a few people to protect him, a sniper who's world had been rocked by the deep, conniving lips of Jessica, his hands working their way up her seductive body. Her hands also at work, sliding up his neck and his entire world went blank. There was a thud as his body hit the gravel. Jessica wiping her lips on her sleeve. "Dammit..." she moaned, that being said, she knew it was the easiest way to deal with him. Her view quickly changed as she took his position behind the sights of the high powered rifle before tapping an earpiece. "Nest, this is Spider-Woman. stage 1 complete." she said. "Proceed to stage 2, did the sniper reveal anything about the Kingpin?" replied the earpiece. "Negative. Just that he was bald... I can see at least 5 men meeting that description." she replied. "Observe, but do not engage unless ordered." "Roger." she watched the inside of the restaurant... She remembered that place... She saw a bullet-hole in one of the walls and sighed as she remembered 5 months ago when she and Blade burst in and killed a Vampire council meeting. "Good times..." she muttered with a smile. She then saw a large bald man getting up and shaking hands with the man he had been having dinner with, a small man with long white hair. They began leaving and after leaving the door, they were met by a Limo. She tapped her comm again. "Nest, suspect meeting targets description spotted, leaving with unknwon accomplice. Permission to engage." she said. "Stand by..." it replied. She watched them getting into the car. "Last chance, that Limo looks bullet-proof." she said. "Stand by..." his head disappeared into the limo. "Target is out of range..." she sighed, angrily. "Return to base." it said. Jessica hung her head and seethed silently. "Roger..." she said before taking off the ear-piece and throwing it, hard, to the ground "FUCK!!!" she got up and looked at the Sniper, who was rousing from his unconsciousness. Sauntering towards him, she grabbed his head and slammed it back down on the ground, knocking him out again. "Thanks for the gun." she said, before stepping over the edge of the building and walking down towards the ground, where her Motorbike awaited.

Player Name: Mattmanganon Character You Wish To Play: The Incredible Hulk Moral Alignment (Hero, Villain, Walking the Line): Hero/Walking the Line Affiliation (what group/team/organization, if any, is your character affiliated with?): Avengers... Soon... Maybe later on Defenders. Character Origin & Backstory: Robert Bruce Banner is the son of Dr. Brian Banner, a brilliant atomic physicist, and Rebecca Banner, a kind, loving woman. Although his mother deeply loved him, and he, her, Brian dispised their child, jealous of the love Rebecca showed their son over him, his terrible alcoholism not helping the matter in any way. Further, Brian was terribly hateful of mutants and believed that his son might be one. Soon, he turned to drugs, which drove his mind into the state that forced him to murder Rebecca, resulting in his incarceration in a mental hospital. Bruce a child prodigy, was raised by his aunt, Mrs. Drake, and she took him to counselling, unfortunately, not a very good councilor, who taught him to suppress his great pain and rage over his insane father's actions. After graduating from Science High School, Bruce studied nuclear physics in Navajo, New Mexico, at Desert State University as the star student of Professor Herbert Josiah Weller. He also studied, for a time, at Pennsylvania State University, but ultimately moved on and earned his doctorate in nuclear physics at the California Institute of Technology, where he met Betty Ross, a friend he would keep throughout most of his life, although, after graduation, she moved to New York to work for Oscorp. Eventually, as an adult and a genius in nuclear physics, Bruce went to work at a United States Defense Department nuclear research facility at Desert Base, New Mexico. There Bruce met legendary Air Marshal, Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, the officer in command of the base, father of Betty. Banner and Betty remained in contact with each other over the internet, and she became Bruce's lead consultant when he was commissioned to work on a super soldier-formula, the same one used in the creation of Captain America, Giving the same power that turned the sickly weakling, into the most famous Nazi-slaying patriot that ever lived. After years of failed attempts, sleeping only when physically impossible not to, he finally made a breakthrough on a crippled dog, repairing its limbs... The day he was informed that their funding had been cut... Determined to prove that he had cracked it, he tested the device on himself... A mistake nobody would EVER forget... Official records show that Doctor Banner's formula addled his mind, drove him insane, saying that he gunned down multiple officers before running... This wasn't entirely untrue, his mind was addled and he did almost kill multiple officers, most of them would spend months in hospital, learning to walk again, but none died... He transformed into a giant gray monster and escaped, destroyed everything in his way. Walls, jeeps, tanks, nothing even slowed him as he smashed his way out. Since going on the run, he has got in contact with a woman going by the name "Mrs Green" who is helping him work on an antidote for his condition. He contacts her by the pseudonym "Mr Grey" They have agreed to not meet until he has created a cure. Until then, he is going to continue to run, carrying the monster wherever he goes. Powers and Abilities: Transformation: The process by which Banner usually transforms into the Hulk is presumably the result of the chemical catalyst, adrenaline (a.k.a. epinephrine). As in normal human beings, Banner's adrenal medulla secretes large amounts of adrenaline in time of fear, rage, or stress, which hormonally stimulates the heart rate, increases blood-sugar levels, and inhibits sensations of fatigue. Whereas the secretion heightens normal physical abilities in normal human beings, in Banner's case it triggers the complex chemical-extra-physical process that transforms him into the Hulk. The total time of transformation falls anywhere between seconds to five minutes, depending on the initial adrenaline surge, which will be determined by the original stimulus. Soon after the transformation, the amount of adrenalin in the Hulk will return to more normal, reduced levels. Superhuman Strength: The Hulk possesses the capacity for virtually limitless physical strength. As a result of this, he is able to use his highly developed leg muscles to leap great distances, Normally, he can leap several miles, however, if his adrenaline levels are high enough. he is capable of leaping hundreds of miles in a single bound. Bruce even theorizes that, if he put enough effort into it, it would be possible to launch himself into orbit, with nothing but his legs... Superhuman Stamina: The Hulk's body counteracts fatigue poisons that build up in his muscles during physical activity. In an enraged state, the Hulk is capable of exerting himself at peak physical capacity for several days before fatigue begins to affect him. However, much like his great physical strength, the Hulk's stamina does increase as he becomes angrier. Superhuman Durability: In addition to great strength, the Hulk's body possesses a high degree of resistance to physical injury. The Hulk can survived a tremendous amount of punishment. This invulnerability extends to the optic system since even the highest caliber bullets and depleted uranium shells merely crumple on impact with his skin, even when hitting a vulnerable area, such as his eyes. His levels of durability are almost impossible to guage, as no force on earth has succeeded in even marking his skin. Regenerative Healing Factor: Despite the Hulk's high resistance to physical harm, it is possible to cause the Hulk injury. However, the Hulk is capable of regenerating damaged or destroyed areas of his body (even his limbs) Superhuman Speed: Although not the most graceful of creatures, due to the immense power in his leg muscles, he is unbelievably fast. He has been clocked running in a straight line at 100mph and swimming at 80 knots. Homing Ability: One of his stranger abilities is The Hulk's seemingly mystical homing ability that enables him to locate the area in New Mexico where Banner first became the Hulk, even when on the opposite side of the planet... Resistance to psychic control: When in Hulk Form, attemtps to control him through telepathy are difficult, due to his mind being incredibly jumbled from the sheer amounts of rage, as well as the multiple personalities at work. As with most Schizophrenics, Attempts to control one personality are hampered as his other personalities attack the telepathic link. That being said, if a Telepath can control all of his personalities at once, he can be controlled. Genius levels of intellect: Bruce Banner is arguably the foremost scientist in the world, on Gamma Radiation and Nuclear physics. He is also well learned in Biology, Engineering, Chemistry and refered to by Philanthropist Tony Stark as "1 of the 8 smartest people alive... Right after me, of course." Weaknesses: How does one stop a creature capable of infinite strength? Well, his main weakness is gas-based attacks, although he cannot absorb anesthetics through his skin, he can through his lungs. Anti-Radiation devices can also stop him from transforming. And unless he is in Hulk form, he is completely susceptible to anything that would harm any other human of his body-type. Sample Post: Dear Mrs Green: I hope this email finds you in good health, I have been travelling through the southern states for some time, trailing a lead that unfortunately went no-where. I am afraid that, no matter what i try, I can't really work on a cure. It seems as though the cancer isn't going away any time soon. Any luck on your end? Your sincerely: Mr Grey Hitting "Send" the computer dinged and confirmed that the email had been sent. Bruce sat back in his chair in the internet cafe, watching the timer slowly tick away, his dollar was only good for another 5 minutes. Suddenly, the computer dinged again, a new email. Dear Mr Grey Happy to say that i am having a little better luck... It would be much easier working with the actual patient, rather than just the samples you sent, but we both know that that is out of the question. The rats are responding well to the treatment, their reaction is as good as I hoped. With any luck, by next week, i'll be able to begin testing on rabbits. Hopefully, i will be able to work it closer to humans... Unfortunately, that means that, at this pace, a cure may not be available for at least 2 years... I realize that that's a tall order, but the last thing we want is to make it any worse. Your sincerely: Mrs Green Bruce read the email several times. "2 years... 730 days... 17532 hours... dammit..." Dear Mrs Green Sad to say that 1 year is out of the question, let alone 2... I'm coming to you. There is no alternative, if we can pool our knowledge, I am sure we can get this done in no time. I am sorry about this, but if you have any alternative that can work in less than a year, i'll take it. But at this time, it seems we have 3 choices, 1. we wait... During which time, i will almost certainly die. 2. I break down on my knee's and prey to heaven for a miracle... Or 3... I come to you, and we make a miracle happen. You will probably hear from me in a week. Your sincerely: Mr Grey Hitting send again, just in time, as, seconds later, the computer screen changed to a lock with the words "Please deposit $1 for the next 10 minutes." He got up and drank the rest of his tea before walking out into the busy streets of Chicago, and if his emails were being intercepted as he thought, then the manhunt would move to the southern states. He pulled the hoody over his head and began walking. Straight past a police officer, their eyes met for and Bruce's heart stopped dead... If the man didn't recognize him, then he would live... Luckily for both of them, the cop simply nodded to him, and Bruce smiled weakly in response. About 100 feet down the street, he stepped in a puddle and immediately felt his sock dampen. He closed his eyes and seethed silently in mild annoyance. Leaning against a wall, he pulled the sole of his shoe up to look at it and saw a hole right through. He had had these shoes since he first went on the run about a month ago... Time for a change, spotting a sports shop nearby, he walked towards it and opened the door, stepping inside. ((I hope to begin the IC with the events inside the shop))
