Name: Roville Merthus Gender: Male Age: 18 Spirit: Libra Type: Juzoku Spiritual Powers: Equivalence Even though Juzoku seems like a powerful ability, the only thing Roville can summon is a brass weighing scale. The weighing scale grants Roville the ability to achieve anything - provided he pay a cost enough to make the overall effect zero-sum. This ability is powerful, but is also limited in the resources Roville is able to sacrifice. Think of it as a portable EBay or Amazon with instant delivery. Payments need not be limited to cash or monetary items, but may also be abstract things such as luck or fame. Due to his spirit being unable to provide an actual offensive power, it doesn't take a lot of Rei to maintain Libra in familiar form. Also, Libra is sentient, meaning it learns, speaks and becomes an overall nuisance for Roville. It also tells Roville whether a payment is sufficient when he makes an offer. Appearance He looks like Touta Konoe from UQ Holder, with spiky brown hair which is of sufficient length to cover his eyebrows. His height is 176cm (5' 9'') and weighs 65kg (143 pounds). He has a hazel left eye and a blue right eye. His chin is relatively well defined. Overall, his face would fall under the category of 'decently attractive'. His body is well toned, but not overly muscular. He has several whip scars on his back and chest. He prefers to dress casual, with a simple t-shirt and bermuda shorts with running shoes. On cold days, he switches to a cotton long sleeved sweater and jeans. He is often seen with his familiar Libra which floats around him. Personality: Roville is an extremely happy-go-lucky person who is also down to earth. He understands that he wields what is probably an incredible power, but refuses to use it unless absolutely necessary, due to the fact that his power may affect those close to him unintentionally, and there is nothing Roville hates more than that. He can be seen as immature for his age, but that is just a front. Deep down, he is thoughtful and never does things without a proper reason. However, acquaintances of Roville has said that he occasionally looks conflicted and segregated from his friends. Biography: Roville is the only son of an ancient Connector family situated in Nesterov. His family was one who had been gifted with great power generation over generation, and the name Merthus was automatically affiliated to a future destined for greatness. Despite having powerful blood flowing through his veins, Roville, until the age of 10, remained unable to show even the slightest hint that a Spirit may reside within him. His lack of talent at the fields of Rei manipulation slowly became a rumor, and that rumor became a stain in the honorable history of the Merthus family. Enraged, Roville's father locked him in a cell, refusing to feed or even look him in the eye. Day after day, week after week, Roville slowly began to starve, if not for his mother who secretly brought him food and drink on occasion. The name Roville was henceforth forbidden in the House of Merthus, and whoever even breathed that word was expelled immediately. One night, when Roville's mother was bringing him dinner, she was spotted by Roville's father. In a fit of anger, he whipped her with a belt, and in trying to protect her, Roville took the blows instead. That night, bleeding through several wounds, Roville cursed his life and cried himself to sleep. After that incident, Roville's father allowed food and drink to be brought to him. Years passed, and ten year old Roville had become a shell of a boy. He was broken, and no matter what his mother said to him, he would simply lie down on the straw and stare at the ceiling. His eyes, which were both lightning blue, had lost their brilliance. Unable to take it any longer, Roville's mother made a pact with her spirit. She decided that she would give up her power in order to grant her son one. That night, Roville became able to hear a voice speaking in his head. Convinced that he had finally gone crazy, he closed his eyes (left eye now hazel) and wished for the world to end. "Are you certain about that?" was the reply. "The cost would be too much for you to handle, you know." Roville then opened his eyes and found a strange brass scale beside him. That day, Roville's father hanged himself upon finding out that his wife was no longer a Connector as well. Roville was released from his prison, finally able to see the world once again. He felt no remorse upon gazing at his father's corpse, harboring a deep resentment in his heart. Six years passed, and the Merthus family was no more. Roville and his mother were now simple ordinary civilians living in Nesterov. In appreciation for his mother's services, she was allowed to stay indefinitely in Nesterov even though she was now a simple human being. Roville, however, wished for a fresh start. He wanted to leave this place which harbored so many bad memories behind. Hence, he set off that day, heading towards Utopia, where he has lived since. Renting a small room in a small flat, he lives mainly as a NEET and doesn't go out unless necessary.

Name: MASANORI Hanayo (Masanori means model of justice, is a slightly masculine name, though) Gender: Female Age: 17 Spirit: Hermes Type: Mahozoku Spiritual Powers: Dimensional Transfer Hermes is the Greek God of Boundaries. As such, Hanayo is able to invoke the power which can affect space and dimensions. She can teleport inanimate objects within her physical ability a short distance in any direction. However, she cannot teleport live objects as that would cost too much Rei. Minute organisms up to the size of a rat is possible. Dimensional Lockdown Hanayo is able to create a barrier of space by displacing the area around her, causing nothing to be able to pass through. She is currently limited to casting the effect on herself. The ability cannot be penetrated by any means, but lasts for only around thirty seconds of so before she must release it or risk harming herself. Spiritual Boundary Jamming Hanayo is able to temporarily sever the link between a Spirit and its Connector, rendering them unable to manifest their abilities for a short amount of time. People talented in the art of Rei manipulation may understand the theory behind this and be able to bypass the jamming, relinking to their Spirits. Spiritual Boundary Limit Release Hanayo is able to remove the boundary between the Spirit world and the Human world, granting someone a one-time ability to use Juzoku or even Tamazoku if the Connector can withstand the flux in power. If the Connector is unable to withstand the Spirit's possession, the Connector may be injured or even die. Also, Hanayo herself will consume devastating amounts of Rei, and be knocked unconscious for an amount of time. Appearance: Hanayo is a mere 160 cm (5' 2'') tall, giving the appearance of a little girl. She weighs 45 kg (100 pounds). She is a mixed blood of Russian and Japanese. Her hair is a wavy dark crimson which falls to her shoulders, and has straight bangs covering her eyebrows. She gives off the air of an adolescent, yet exudes the charm of an adult. Her chest is of modest size, but she does not have a complex about it. She has a slender frame with a decent curvature, and if she wore a tight fit dress, would look absolutely gorgeous (her height aside, of course). Hanayo's eyes are of a strange reddish blue hue which turns into a brilliant purple when she evokes her power. Hanayo prefers to wear elegant yet comfortable dresses. She usually tailor customs the dresses to her needs and wants and never wears anything else. She usually wears a white mob cap adorned with a singular red ribbon to match her hair. She walks around with a medium sized white parasol, which also serves as a makeshift weapon whenever she decides to get into a little melee combat. Personality: 'You are the embodiment of justice and neutrality,' Those were the last words of Hanayo's father, and she had held them close to her heart ever since. Hanayo is a totalitarian: she doesn't allow things that aren't justified in her opinion. Granted, her opinion may be flawed, but she has grown up thinking whatever she thinks is right, and is not afraid to take action to prove so. One might expect such behavior to cause a negative response among her peers, but in reality, she is well-respected and her words always hold power. Throughout her years, people around her have come to trust her decisions, and she is now a influential demagogue well-known throughout the school she resides in. Even though she might be headstrong, any opinions directed at her which may not agree with her decisions will not be shot down without consideration. In other words, she listens to feedback, and she alters her definition of justified accordingly. She neither has many likes nor hates, due to her innate neutrality. Because of this, many people close to her fear that she may not know happiness or sorrow either. Hanayo is a person who wears a pleasant, business-like smile in default, and when that turns into a frown, it means that Hanayo is truly furious, and you had best get out of her sight. Biography: Hanayo lived a relatively normal life as a child. She had an innate Spirit, but it never did respond to her, so she didn't really pursue the matter either. She was born into an average Nesterov family, but her parents (Russian father and Japanese mother) were firm believers of the Nesterov creed: 'Neutrality above all'. Hanayo did not understand what that meant at first, but slowly, the concept of neutrality was drilled into her. She came to terms with her parent's belief, and stuck to it. Her uncanny intelligence came to be renowned throughout the neighbourhood, and eventually Hanayo was offered a scholarship into Kaimei Gakuen, Lyranias' finest institution. She accepted the offer, moved to Utopia at the age of 12 and completed her studies in an astounding 4 years. After graduation, she stayed on at Kaimei Gakuen as an alumni as well as becoming the Honorary Student Council President, one step higher than the Council President himself. One day, while doing her research at the Kaimei Gakuen labs, she received a report that her father had been hospitalized while making his way to Utopia to visit her. She hurriedly went to the hospital where her father was and was told by her mother that he did not have long to live. That night, Hanayo talked to her father, who revealed that he was attacked by rogues from the Kimera Tenma. He asked Hanayo not to think about revenge, however, not for her own safety, but due to the fact that she was a Nesterov. Hanayo understood his intentions completely and vowed not to hunt down the Kimera Tenma. When her father died, he left the words 'You are the embodiment of justice and neutrality' with her, and she whole heartedly accepted them. The Spirit within Hanayo then spoke out and introduced itself as Hermes, God of Boundaries. He said that he could finally see the concrete resolution that Hanayo held and accepted her as her master. Due to his overwhelming power, he had to test her to see whether she was worthy of him. But now, he concedes that her affinity with him was far greater than he expected, and that she is a perfect Master for him. His exact words are, 'I have never seen a human so unopposed by conflicting elements such as you. Even if the greatest mountain folds or the deepest sea dries up, you will not be fazed.' Since then, Hanayo has returned to her life in Kaimei Gakuen.
