Chloe nodded in response. Although she didn’t agree with his decision there was nothing that she could do about, he was only thinking of Joan’s safety after all. She was slightly surprised to hear Joan give up the argument, but she thought nothing of it. They had to leave very soon. Finally she was able to finish up her stretches before she made her way over to the mattress, as Joan picked up guns. She waited for the man to help her before she even attempted to lift the mattress. She was strong, but not strong enough to lift a mattress by herself. When they held the mattress up, Chloe’s jaw dropped. “Seems like someone else had the same idea.” She said, continuing to hold up the mattress so that her new companions could grab what was under. After things were grabbed they moved to the next mattress and found more goodies underneath. She chuckled softly, “Well I thought the plan was clever…” She mumbled to herself as the man grabbed a sniper rifle. Well whoever had hid the guns and supplies before would probably find the guns they had hidden but they did belong to them after all. The only other worry was if someone else came up with the same plan. As soon as the guns were hidden they left the room silently. With the safety on, she stuffed the pistol into her pants so that she could hold her axe with both hands. The guns were for desperate times so there was no need for her to keep hold of it, she just had to keep it close. They moved quickly in a line, Chloe following behind the man, with Joan behind her. She kept close to him, not wanting to get lost or separated if something unexpected happened. It was best to stick together. While she checked her surroundings she stopped and grabbed the man’s collar, tugging it softly. “Hey. We have a problem.” There was a moment of silence as she swallowed hard. “I can’t see Joan.” She tried to speak calmly and keep a clear head. She was unsure about how he would react to this news, but she had a feeling that it wouldn’t be good. Joan’s safety seemed to have been the main thing on the man’s mind, so learning that she was not with them, with an injury would probably hit a bad cord.
