You are a citizen in the small town of Warren, Massachusetts Bay Colony in the year of Our Lord 1693. Only a few hundred large, Warren is a place where everyone knows each others' name. In many ways, Warren is just like every other town in the Colonies. It is dominated by the Puritan religion, obsessively so. The goal of most was to live a pious, respectable life. Then again, Warren is also unique. It is bordering a large forest, and on the other side is a large settlement of Native Americans. There is, for the most part, peace between the Natives and the Colonists, and even trade between the two, on occasion. Warren is also said to have been founded on the grounds of a huge battle between two warring Native tribes, and the mass grave of the battle lay deep beneath the town. Of course, many believe this to be an old wives' tale. The neighboring tribe vehemently denies this to be true. and gets furious when it is brought up.

As a citizen, you are just trying to live a normal life. What you don't know is that unspeakable evils are about to surface in the world: The Devil himself is coming to Earth to claim it as his own. Often, he would seduce humans into joining his cause with promises of power. This sparked the witchcraft paranoia of 1693, culminating in the Salem Witch Trials. Warren will have its own trials, but the citizens of this town are destined to open a box that they wish was left untouched. 

Warren Horrors will begin historically, but will quickly devolve into an alternate fantastical timeline, obviously. Depending on your characters and how you choose to develop the story, you'll be engaged in an active war against the forces of The Devil. 

You may create one family to play in this roleplay. This can range from one person to an entire clan. They will begin as a Warren colonist, but become entangled in Satan's struggle for Earth.

The rules for this roleplay are simple: No Mary-Sue characters, no godmodding. My usual policy is quality over quantity. Just because this is Advanced, doesn't mean you have to feel forced to write more than what you feel is needed. If you think you've said all you need to say to make it a quality post, it could easily be a few lines. Above all, have fun!
