Thin. Frail. Pale white almost stone looking skin. Her dark hair is often unkempt. Her eyes a milky white. Her nose sharp, cheeks soft and lips a thin pink. Her overall physical demeanor appears rather sickly although she would tell you she feels fine.

Akaia's wardrobe is limited given her unusual lifestyle. A fashion statement favoring durability and wear just loose enough to remain comfortable while on the move. Her undergarments consist mostly of wrappings around the trunk of her body, arms and thighs that are then layered for warmth. A typical tunic and trousers held together with a leather strap and a shawl that is kept around her shoulders that can be pulled over her head to better conceal her physical qualities. In this way she can blend into a crowd if need be and when necessary, move quickly to escape danger. A pair of leather worn boots helps her move with some silence.

p e r s o n a l i t y
Although quiet, Akaia's lack of speak is not to be confused with being shy. She is naturally curious, always adventurous, constantly looking for the answer to a question or asking the question to an answer she's found. She's protective of the people around her, although a large part of that could be attributed to her being a Sidhe.

Any awkwardness from an interaction is a result of a life forced upon a woman when she was young. Her asocial tendencies are that of an ignorant child that is eager to learn. Despite this and more importantly, despite her distinct outward appearance, her heart is that of gold, not unlike the flowers that adjourn her hair.

s k i l l s
Her main means of defense is her ability to camouflage. Additionally, the life-giving spores of her breath work unusually fast, even for a Sidhe. An accidental sneeze some years ago was a quick lesson on breath control lest she impale another unsuspecting soul.

Akaia also finds herself particularly skilled at moving quickly and quietly. Having spent much of her youth in the forests between civilization, she's knowledgeable in the navigation of uncharted areas and the ability to traverse those areas safely.

Akaia has the ability to mimic any noises, voices or sounds she can or has heard. A unique skill she picked up learning to communicate with a world as strange to her as she is to it. She also developed a coded language between herself and her crow in the form of various clicks and clucks.

e q u i p m e n t
A wooden staff standing at her shoulder. It's thin, light and durable. At one end, there is a flowering bulb of golden petals. If coaxed, it can emit a soft ambient warm hue for a duration. This bulb also doubles as a warning for Akaia. If the air becomes too contaminated, it will begin to shrivel, allowing Akaia enough time to don a mask before she suffers any adverse effects.

Concealed within this staff is a blade a foot in length, the hilt of which is the bulbed end of the staff. When of good health, it is impossible to pull the blade out. However, when the wood is weakened in the presence of polluted air or Miasma, the blade can be drawn by snapping the wood where they're joined.

Her gas mask is made of a sturdy flexible material that sits comfortably around her nose and mouth and creates an airtight seal. Not unlike the rest of her attire, the equipment and it's entire rig is lightweight but still durable. The mask is fed via a tube that loops around her waist and connects two cylinders roughly the size of a liter bottle. These are hung across her lower back by a leather sling and pulled tight against her body. If this connection should fail or the canisters are damaged, one of the filters on the mask itself is larger than the other and houses an emergency 'tank' of oxygen that is good for fifteen minutes. Additionally, only one of the tanks across her back is filled with a supply of clean oxygen. The other tank stores the spores from her breath.

To prevent her influence on surrounding flora, Akaia will often don her mask when she intends to speak. Her mask function is then switched to allow air intake in one direction, thereby letting her breathe without wasting the oxygen in her tank. Any spores released by her during this time is caught and stored.

Akaia is accompanied by a crow. It feeds on the blood beads she provides.

w e a k n e s s
Akaia is naturally non-combative, a quality made clear by the handicap provided by her staff. Besides a seldom used blade and the ability to sprout the end of her staff dangerously fast, she has little else to offer in a fight.

Her speech is stunted thanks in large part to her early life. She spent her first years learning in the wild on her own before she was discovered and taken in. Though much improved, her verbal communication is limited to fragments, signs and gestures. She cannot legibly write but she can read and understand just as well as anyone else can. In addition to her speech, her odd upbringing also left her somewhat asocial. Most interpersonal interactions are awkward at best.

h i s t o r y
Akaia was brought into the fold 7 years ago by the Revenant Cerise as a result of a chance meeting between the two. As a young Sidhe only recently made alone and without clear direction, it was far too easy for her to decide to follow the odd girl after catching her on one of her many excursions. However, it didn't take long for the equally, if not more skilled Cerise to pick up on her tail and what followed was a rather short game of cat and mouse. Needless to say, Cerise made quick work of the stranger, but it didn't take long for the lost soul of a curious and genuine heart to win over a warm and empathetic one. A short, tense and awkward exchange later would leave Akaia with an invitation home and a near decades long friendship.

She quickly fell into her role as the second scout. Whatever pockets of information about the surrounding area she didn't already know was filled in with Cerise's help and soon, the newest member was contributing rather than simply learning. In that time of growth, she developed her communication, both verbal and non-verbal and also taught those around her how to communicate with her through her crow. These days, she spends much of her time off base, exploring the world, seeing where it may need healing and attempting to remedy it. During her trips, she'll often pick up various bits and bobs along the way that are of import to others and will bring them back home. This can be anything from material for Lyssandra to a new flower for Cerise or even a peculiar looking pebble she thinks might look good on a mantle somewhere. If on the base, she'll often be in the company of a certain Revenant and a certain nosy crow.
