Kai took back the Taisen, satisficed with the result. "Alright I'll join your crew, but on one condition. I get to leave when I feel like it. Ya don't get a say in it." The Gunpla Fighter stated his conditions, it was a sort of sword of Damocles. If Naoki ever was unable to reach the heights he promised or he went on the path that his old leader did Kai would simply leave this was the condition, no the challenge that Kai presented to him. "It's nice to work with the rest of ya." Kai paused before looking at Jun. "Maybe not him, but the rest of ya seem fine."

Jun smiled at the new teammates around him. He had experience in all kinds of sports and games from all the challenges he conquered in the past. Yet, very rare was it for him to be on a team unless it was absolutely necessary. Such a thought brought about memory of a former comrade Jun had left behind long ago. The two of them had gotten close, however that friend of his wasn't too pleased to know Jun would be leaving their competitive sport once he had reached the top of the summit.

The two of them had a fight about it and hadn't talked since. It was because of Jun's nature to move along to something else one he'd conquered his challenges that the two of them broke apart.

If that was the case, then once this current team had become champions, would he toss aside Gunpla Fighting and no longer be comrades with them too? For once, Jun was actually solemn in silence about that quandary.

That was broken once Kai direct a verbal jab at him. Needless to say, Jun would be easily provoked. "Oh yeah?! I don't like having to be on a team with a smug guy like you but I'll put up with it if it means I get to take you down later!" he leaned forward at the blond fighter with obvious anger in his eyes. All previous worries had been washed away, so Jun rose to Naoki's proposal

"You got it! I always train like my life depends on it. So I expect the rest of you guys to do the same. I don't wanna hear any excuses like 'We're not geniuses like you Jun, so we can't keep up'! Understood?!"

He spoke those words to everyone in the group, to make certain of their resolve.

As the group dispatched after their first ‘meeting’ Naoki smiled, happy that his plans had finally been coming along! He had been to 2 tournaments beforehand and never found anyone who interested him. And Now he finds a whole batch of them at once. Still though, it wasn’t a full team yet.

Takemori, who was closing up the shop, grunted in what Naoki recognized as confusion. “Everything fine , Takemori?”

The older man started to nod but stopped. “Actually … during that tournament something happened.” He said and Naoki raised an eyebrow, signaling him to continue. “At one point, a Destiny Gundam appeared.”

“Oh yeah I remember that, near the end of round 1.”

“Yes, the problem is that none of the registered pilots were piloting it.” He said seriously and Naoki wide eyed.

Someone had interfered in the match? Seriously? Who?

Underground in the Iori Shopping Center Parking Garage, Koga Kyo regrouped with Hamada and the Yui triplets, all of them in a group away from prying eyes. “God dammit you two!! You ruined everything!!” Hanako yelled as she berated her two siblings. “We were supposed to meet up with the other 2 and protect them!”

“We thought we could crush him!” Akihiko started

“With our special technique!” The other continued

Hanako sighed. “Yeah, that only works when we’re TOGETHER.” She finished, “Not when you two charge in and do your own thing.”

The hooded teen stepped forward. “That’s enough.” A feminine but commanding voice said out loud. “Our plan to get Hamada a local victory was a wash, there’s a tournament tomorrow in Hokkaido. We need to get going.”

Hamada jumped in at that, “W-whoa whoa wait, Hokkaido’s 18 hours away right?!”

The hooded teen nodded, “And you're the one with a license, consider the drive your punishment.” She said and Hamada fell to the floor dejected.

“Y-yes mam.”

The teen sighed as the hooded girl began to walk to the parking garage, the others following behind her as she approached a bus, the words Norishima Entertainment Company written in bold letters.

“By the way.” Koga said, bringing the hooded girl's attention to herself. “The Shark, he was called up by one of the regulars at Takemoris, Yukihiro Naoki. I hear Naoki is trying to build a team and I think he invited him.” She said, giving all the info she could.

The group entered the bus, the hooded girl taking off her hood to reveal short pink hair, green eyes, and a golden earring. “Oh really?” She asked, intrigued. “Then I guess we’ll have to hold a meeting. I’m sure the monkeys will hold a meeting once they hear about this and I’d rather we look like we’re taking the initiative.” She said

@Shiyonichi@Blade17@KenjuGuy@Double
Sunday, 2 weeks after the Takemori Arcade Tournament.

The group sat in a van, Takemori at the wheel driving a rented car to Minato while Naoki sat next to him and everyone else sat in the back. Naoki internally laughed as he found it funny that Kai and Jun were forced to sit next to each other but they couldn’t complain, the 5 of them drew straws to see who would sit where and it just ended up with the two next to each other.

Over the last week Takemori had opened up the store and back room to the team so anyone could come and go from the arcade whenever they needed, and in that time Naoki had worked with some of them individually to test them. Overall they hadn’t truly had any group training and instead they had spent the weeks building and training in regular target and flight practice, so that Naoki and Takemori could see their baseline performance.

“Today’s target is the Kishimoto Arcade in west Minato. It’s a local tournament, and there are expected to be 3 other teams there with us.” Naoki said to the group as their car began to pull into a parking lot next to a small shopping district. Now stopped, Takemori exited while Naoki unbuckled and completely turned around. “Details like that type of battle and conditions are always randomized so be prepared for literally anything.”

Takemori opens the side door for the others, the group beginning to follow him as they walk through the work quaint shopping district towards their goal. “I think, no, I know we’re ready. However, we’re missing something.” He said in a serious tone as he turned to the group. “Something important,” he said solemnly before his seriousness was cut by a smile, “ARMBANDS!” He said as he held up 6 armbands, black in the middle and blue on the outer rim, the words IMAGINE VICTORY! Written on the side. “Hehe, like em? They’re armbands I made for our group, to both show we’re together and also remind us that in order to win you first need to believe you can!” He said as he passed out the arm bands to the others. “I figured we needed some sort of uniform, since a lot of other groups are from other schools.”

With that out of the way the group entered the store, Naoki with his armband proudly on him, as they were greeted to what looked like any other arcade you’d see anywhere else. However, the big group of boys could feel eyes on them immediately as 3 other large groups that were spread around the store watched them.

“Meeeeh, competition looks ready to kill.” Naoki whispered “Ok, I’m gonna go check our team in and such, we have 10-15 minutes before the tournament officially starts so this is your chance to look over either yourselves or the competition.” He said as he himself made a look around before he separated from the group to sign them in.

The first group looked to be a big family ranging from a pair of older grandparents to a ten year running around. They seemed like a big family, bigger than a team could consist of, and he wondered who out of the group would be fighting.

The second group seemed to be a school group local to the area as it was a group of 7 teenagers, 5 boys and 2 girls, all sitting around eying the other groups as they closely kept to themselves in a corner of the arcade.

The third group was an actual surprise to Naoki, as he wasn’t expecting to see the uniform of his own school out here in Minato. But he hadn’t seen wrong, not at all. Because the third group was none other than the Zenshin High Gunpla Club, the full crew of 5 along with 2 others not wearing the uniform but with them. The 2 others he didn’t recognize as students from Zenshin. Mercs? Did Seo hire Mercs? Wait, did Seo FOLLOW them here?! What the hell happened?!

@Renny@Dezuel

A week ago at this time, Seo had invited 2 people to the Zenshin High Gunpla club in order to offer them a deal. After a student led the two to the Gunpla room, Seo left no time for chit chat.

“It’s simple really, 20,000 Yen for participating with us and an extra 20,000 Yen if we win.” He said bluntly to the two other fighters. “Now usually me and my team woul;dn’t need the extra power, however our opponents this time are annoyances I want dealt with. The team we’re facing consists of a pretty famous battler, as well as the newest Dobutsu. Those two are going to be your main targets.” He told them as he threw out multiple pictures. Top two being Kai and Jun battling at the arcade, the others under it being pictures of the rest of the group.

“The rest of them are free games as well, but there's 2 I want for myself. The mastermind who planned our previous defeat.” He said as he pulled out Naoki's picture “THIS one,” Then Rikus picture “And this one.” He finished with a small laugh.

The past 2 weeks had been rather eye-opening for Riku. He kept his own word in regards to the Gundam Maxter. Rather than rush it into a experimental customized build - something he had done with Metal Angel, costing him a tournament - he instead took things slow and first built it straight. Before trying to mess with modifications and customization, Riku had promised himself to pilot the Maxter as a straight build until he was confident enough in utilizing it's fighting techniques.

That... proved far more challenging than he anticipated. In all practice matches, the Maxter was soundly defeated and seemingly unable to keep up with anyone else. But why? Riku had seen what it could do in its featured episodes of G Gundam. That meant the only thing that could possibly be holding the Maxter back... was the pilot. But what was Riku doing wrong, exactly? And then he received some half-joking advice from Takemori-san.

"Heh, well you know... the Gundam Maxter WAS specifically built and designed to be piloted by a trained boxer so... maybe you should take up boxing yourself?"

Whether Takemori-san was joking at the time or not, Riku decided to take him up on that advice. As it happened, there was a small gym located in the same shopping district as the arcade. When Riku first went, he originally intended to simply watch some sparring matches and maybe take some notes. But then the Gym's owner noticed him and successfully goaded him into training himself. He argued that if Riku wanted to truly understand the skills and techniques of a boxer, then he should become one himself.

And that was how Riku had managed to stumble into his current training regime. When he wasn't doing gunpla battle practice with the team or helping to build their flasgship, he was at that gym laying into punching bags, jumping rope, and an assortment of other exercises recommended by the owner.

And the boxing and battling weren't the only things proving to be taxing on Riku. When discussions about the team's flagship came up, Riku was quick to make a suggestion of his own. He showed a clip from a certain anime to the others and argued that they should draw inspiration from that for their ship. Of course, anyone who knew the anime that the clip came from would be quick to point out that that wasn't from the Gundam franchise at all. Would that even be possible?

"I know it's not from Gundam, and most likely our ship will pale in comparison at first," Riku had said, as if he had already prepared this counter-argument ahead of time, "but if we ARE able to successfully emulate it, I guarantee it will put our team on the map as a powerhouse not to be taken lightly." Riku said, also knowing that this would almost certainly put him personally on the map as a genius builder... provided he could actually pull this off, "And just think: How many other teams are going to be basing their ships on the Gundam series, and how many of them are even remotely thinking of drawing inspiration from outside of Gundam? That alone will make our team stand out among a sea of other teams."

@Shiyonichi@Blade17@KenjuGuy@Crimson Lion@Renny@Dezuel

On the car ride over to where their first Tournament would be, Riku had been placed in the back most seats next to Blade. All the extra work he'd been doing had left him rather tired and he found himself taking short naps wherever he could afford to do so. This very car ride was an example of such a chance. As such, Riku's head had remained rested on his hand and he himself dozed off for almost the entire trip.

His other hand clutched the bag he'd brought with him. The bag contained the team's flagship, as well as 3 of Riku's own Gunpla Builds. One of them was the Leo from 2 weeks ago, now named the Manticore. The 2nd one was the Gundam Maxter, still a straight build - although Riku wasn't entirely confident in using it for today's battles as he was still having great difficulty piloting it properly. And the 3rd Gunpla was a different build, one that had been Riku's main Gunpla prior to when he had built the Metal Angel. He'd use it as a substitute for now until he could eventually master the Maxter.

Riku was awoken by their arrival at the Kishimoto Arcade. Primarily it was Naoki excitedly handing out armbands to everyone that woke him up. Uniforms? Apparently there just was no escaping from them. Riku reluctantly put his on, not wanting to get it into any debates or arguments at the moment. With the all-important bag on his shoulder he made his rounds around the place, seeing who all was there.

"Oh great..." he muttered to himself, spotting the obnoxious white uniforms of Seo and his little band of merry jerkasses. Except now they appeared to be accompanied by two more, who were not in uniform. Mercs? Maybe Seo was trying to make his team look tougher, but Riku took something else away from the Mercs' presence.

"Hiring Mercs, Seo?" asked Riku after he had suddenly approached their team. It was time to do a little psychological warfare, "Should I take this an admission that you and your team suck, then? Or maybe you're just still butthurt about the thrashing I gave you and these Mercs are just here to protect you from me?" he didn't bother waiting for an answer, Riku instead just walked away laughing to himself. The more he could get under Seo's skin, the better.

"Whelp, Seo's right over there." he told Naoki after regrouping with the team, "And you can probably see the mercs he brought with him. I wouldn't worry too much about Seo. The poor bastard is so easy to manipulate I'm sure I'll crush him all over again. The two new guys though... I dunno, they might be pretty tough."

Long-term jobs tended to end prematurely, which was why it was rare for Ryoichi to accept one, however after meeting his clients and partner; it was simply too enticing to turn down. The kids were running high on emotion; revenge and all that, it reminded him what it was like all those years ago when he first got into Gunpla, when everything was fresh, fun, and exhilarating. When he believed he could fight every second of the day at a thousand-percent. Sweating and simply reveling in the combat. Maybe they didn't have his problem of being too strong though and they were certainly still living in a time of having fun just for the sake of fun. Lucky them.

All things, even the fun things, became weight sooner-or-later. It was a harsh truth he had come to accept only three years into his Gunpla career. After things got complicated, unsatisfying, and boring...

Over the two weeks, Ryoichi, in his signatuer lighthearted manner started calling his younger-associate, Char-chan. He openly treated the others as younger siblings and that often rubbed them the wrong way.

At Kishimoto Arcade, where the crowd was thick with hardcore Gunpla fans and fighters, Seo was in the middle of both encouraging, rather brutally at that, and reminding everyone who was in charge. Ryoichi looked around at the competition aimlessly, chomping on Pringles he'd picked up earlier that morning, a brown plastic bag was dangling from his wrist.

The idea that this rivalry was as important as they believed floated into his head and for a moment he almost believed it too. But that quickly dissipated when he mistook a raven-haired woman for Julie Yamaguchi. That smacked him back to reality and his carefree expression, both calm and airy, returned to him. As Seo was dividing roles out to his friends another fighter approached them, a rough-looking fella carrying a bag.

Ryoichi looked down on him from his spot some-even four-feet away and whistled, honestly impressed with his guts, as he left. "Well that one certainly knows how to hit below the belt," he laughed. He looked to Char-chan and smacked the back of his wheelchair playfully, "Good thing he didn't throw a jab at my precious partner here, right?" Then, a bit more serious. "Hey, Seo, you sure you don't want me or Char-chan to handle him? He might be too much for you."

A jest on the surface but maybe... just maybe Seo would heed his warning.

“Hey Kai, when we reach the world circuit, let’s have a fight there.”

Two units were standing on top of a pile of parts, all once having been a Gunpla, all having been crushed by the just the two units, who stood triumphantly over the carnage.

“What brought on that for? Besides even if ya asked that, one of us could get eliminated without meeting the other.” Kai asked unknown why the other pilot would ask such as thing.

“I wish you were less of an idiot, but that’s besides the point!” The other pilot said with both frustration and with a hint of affection. The other unit starred out into the distance as a beam shot came towards both of them. Kai’s unit stepped forward and raised it’s arm the beam disappeared when came close the other unit lifted up it’s rifle almost lazily and pulled the trigger getting a critical hit even with the lack of effort put into taking it out. “I know I can make it and you’re someone that can nearly rival me, so I know you can as well.”

“Alright I promise-“

Kai woke up from his slumber, he sat next to Jun. Needless to say the Gunpla fighter found him too much of a pain in the ass forced himself to sleep only momentarily waking up when his reactions felt that someone was getting too close, before promptly going back to sleep. His years of martial arts training made him something of a superhuman or a cat, able to do some crazy things most people would think possible.

In the training and without it was pretty clear that Kai didn’t need any help in the combat department having aced all of the practices and practically winning all of his practice matches, rather he needed help in the building department, so he got a crash course on that, luckily his Taisen was the best subject for practice, and he seriously needed that.

First up was to dismantle up the Taisen and clean it up, better filing down nubs and seam lines. Then was to paint the Taisen or at least it’s arms to give it and even color scheme. Next was the replacement of armaments, at first Kai was given an option set that would convert the Exia into the repair IV, taking the GN Tachi and GN bayonets from it, though that wasn’t enough. Kai had done some research and he had a few other weapons he wanted on the new Taisen, the problem was that they were a part of full kits and it would be a waste just to get them for a single weapon, so Kai was introduced to the 3D printer to recreate them for his use.

Those weapons were the ♾ Justice’s Carrier Beam Shield, the Pale Rider Calvary’s Composite Weapon "Shekinah", The Stike Freedom’s Railguns and Beam Sabers, and the Astray Red Frame dragon’s Caletvwlch. Kai also didn’t forget to recreate the crackers and panzerfausts using the same 3D painting methods. Due to the influx of new weapons Kai needed to learn how to modify his Zaku and it’s Dobergun. The backpack was replaced with a much more powerful one with battery packs to power the extra weapons and the Dober Gun was shifted to the backpack on a subarm and modified to be foldable allowing it to stay out of the way when not in use. The final thing he learned was creating completely custom parts, The Gunpla fighter had thought the shoulders were a bit barren so he made a pair of armaments that doubled as shoulder armor. With all these weapons Kai removed the Leo’s beam rifle and the Machine, as the Shekinah fulfilled their purposes and then some.

Kai renamed this new version, Zaku II Benkei.

Kai took out a Gunpla box, this was not the Benkei, rather it was stored in a traditional wooden lacquer box, sealed shut with rope that you would find wrapped around a sacred tree, making it seem like it there was a god or a demon sealed in the box.

“Well partner, we’re moving forward.” Kai told the box before looking out the window for their next battle, the Kishimoto Arcade why was that name so familiar? Either way that thought was interrupted when armband were handed out. “What are we the student council?” Kai deadpanned, but grabbed the armband and put it on, before getting out of the car and stretching his legs.

Kai watched as Riku got off to taunt Seo and his group, Kai didn’t really care for mocking others. Kai gave a short wave to Hachiyama as he was the one that had earned Kai’s respect as a fighter and mocked Seo in a different way by completely and utterly ignoring his existence.

Blake took the shirt and all as he was looking around he wondered how things will go this time. His wing zero gundam with him in his hand he fixed up quite nicely. The only mod ge did was few of the tips of the wings can come off and become a secondary shield he learned from his first tournament that he can loose his shield easily. But other then that he didn’t mod it much. He was working on a secret project he didn’t want anyone to know what it is yet.

To say that Charmaine was annoyed with being called Char-chan by Ryoichi was an understatement, to which he had replied in a snarling manner not to refer to him as such. After all, who was he to try act like he was a big brother type. It was when he made the connection that he found himself holding back his annoyance, thinking of the death of many big brother types in gundam. Yet even whilst holding back, he found himself hurling replies to Ryoichi.

"Don't call me that you damn civilian!" Charmaine had first barked out when first having been refered as 'Char-chan'. While being shortnamed as Char, he didn't fancy himself a Char fan. But rather he favored other badguys of gundam. Then it came upon the person which had called them forth, Seo, who seemed to have a personal vendetta against two others. Charmaine memorized their appearances from the picture that Seo had shown, as he himself wouldn't have wanted anyone to meddle in his own duels if he had a say in it. So Seo could duel these two to his hearts content, and if he would somehow fail then he could clean up what was remaining. Although attacking a damaged machine wouldn't yield as much glory as defeating one fair and square.

"Understood. I shall leave these two nuisances for you and deal with the rest as I see fit." Charmaine had scoffed slightly, looking Seo over and the rest of their team.

'A bunch of weaklings...' The greeneyed young man shook his head softly to himself.

As some time passed and the group had gotten to their destination, Charmaine threw glances to the other teams. In an arrogant and condescending manner, after all who were they compared to him? One even had the boldness to approach them, and that guy looked like an even more lawbreaker than Ryoichi. At least as Charmaine was concerned. What manner of abberation of machines would these guys bring? A chill traveled up his spine as he considered the possibility of seeing a disgusting bearguy or an SD gundam.

"If you were an annoying hourglass floating in space I would set the peacemaker squad on you..." He muttered lowly in Riku's direction, while the boy was addressing Seo.

'To be paired with these unskilled naturals. No matter... I shall run through the opponents with my fangs of destruction.' The young man thought, a slight smirk forming on his lips, but it soon vanished as he noticed Ryoichi was patting his wheelchair. Whilst that was an offense in itself on it's own, the delinquent had the audacity to call him his partner.

"Stop calling me that. I am not your partner you idiot..." Charmaine hissed to Ryoichi, his eyebrows twitching as he did til he once more heard him call him Char-chan.

"Why you- Is your head completely lost in Veda? My name is Charmaine, don't you forget it or you'll die!" He grit his teeth together, thoughts of punching Ryoichi sprung to his mind, but as quickly as they appeared they faded away. It was unbefitting of him to give in to anger caused by an obvious background character like this older guy was according to Charmaine. Besides after witnessing his skills in battle, they should all bow to him in worship and be happy to even been graced with his presence.

The young man clenched his teeth together as he began to move his wheelchair forth to get a look at the opposing team, before taking on his white plastic helmeted mask from his bag which hung unto his wheelchair. Attaching the straps and making sure it was sitting firmly. The purpose of the mask was to honor the memory of many fallen masked villains and also make a statement to the other team that he wasn't a pushover. The revenge for many villains would be settled today by destroying a high number of gundams no doubt.

"Let's get going shall we gentlemen? Unless you want to drop a verbal colony on them? Or fire the old man at them in hopes of taking them out?" Charmeine looked over his shoulder to his teammates, nodding his head towards Ryoichi as being the 'Old man'.

Throughout the past 2 week, Jun had not only been training his fighting skills hard like always, but he had also been working along with his teammates. This allowed him to learn certain things, not just from in-combat but also building his Gunpla thanks to them.

Of course, he would stay with the course of his Captain Miracle. Jun's stubborn nature wouldn't allow him to abandon it, especially as how he didn't get to use it's full capabilities in the recent Tournament. That meant he had to make upgrades in response to his loss and so was born the 'Captain Miracle Mk II'. During its initial incarnation, Jun had gotten rid of some of the Crossbone Gundam X3's armaments in order to improve speed and consume less energy. The 'Captain Miracle Mk II' would fix that by not only implementing those previous armaments, but also adding in a completely new kit into the mix, the Gundam Exia.

The Exia itself was already extremely nimble with its slim frame, added with the gracefulness of the GN Drive. Then there were the X Thrusters from the Crossbone, which gave sudden bursts of mobility and an additional amount of speed. To add on, there were the GN Condensors added onto the thrusters when desperate needs of speed are desired. All that to say that it's maximum speed was so incredible it was dangerous. So dangerous that it was hard for Jun to control it, and he had even crashed several times at that.

Either way, Jun was excited to finally get into action with it, but the person sitting next to him on the bus wasnt exactly someone he could get along with, that was Kai...

Without any hesitation, Jun had been rambling on and on about how he was going to prove his greatness. Yet, shockingly, Kai had been able to sleep through the entire rant. It was an amazing feat that reminded Jun of like a monk or ninja. Before he could fully understand the meaning of it, the boys had arrived at their destination.

His Gunnpla and tools in hid pouches, the boy hopped off the bus with a brim grin on his face. "So this is the place huh? They might as well line them selves up " he postured while walking towards his destination. Well, that was before he was handed his Team Imagine Victory armband, which he happily thrusted onto his arm. That was when he caught wind of the interaction between Riku and another team.

"Hey, Riku! It's not right to talk down to other people like that!" Jun spoke accusingly as he pointed his finger at his comrade. So being the talker that he was, Jun strutted towards the opposite group with all the confidence in the world. "You're Seo right? I heard about you. You know, it's not very manly to gang up on someone, but considering the fact that I was there, I can't totally blame you for taking drastic measures!" Jun nodded seriously as if he had totally understood the other boy's feelings.

He then shifted his attention to all of Seo's team. "I'm sure you guys know who I am, but it's important to introduce myself; Most call me 'The Once In A Century Genius', some call me 'Shark', recently I'm 'Team Imagine Victory's Ace Fighter', but my actual name is Jun Takamaki! I only take the toughest of challenges. So if you guys want any hopes of winning, you better all came at me at once! As fo-"

Jun was interrupted when he finally took in the appearance of the glasses-wearing man with the white hair(Ryoichi). ".....You guys brought your dad?"

Ryoichi loosed a half-cocked smile while being bombarded by Char-chan's remarks. He was more or less envious of them, the young ones still enamored, still engrossed. It was adorable, naïve, and a little frustrating to watch but it ultimately reminded him of how strong the spirit of Gundam and Gunpla could be. A note to himself, that this 'entity' was a meticulous work of art. It really did its job well, even going so far as finding a place of employment for a nineteen year old dropout like himself.

He chuckled kindly to Char-chan before shrugging his shoulders and taking a step back. The sound of his plastic bag grating following his movement. "You wound me, Char-chan. Though a colony drop would be right up your alley wouldn't it?" he asked while fumbling in his Pringles can for the bottom chips. "Dammit, they're always the hardest to get."

In midst of duking it out with a construction of paper and plastic, Ryoichi had almost missed the second visitor. The loud boy's voice, almost pleading for attention, drudged a glance from Ryoichi. He found it difficult to maintain focus through the boy's tirade, in fact, he found it almost unbearable. A quip here or there was fine but at this point he was rambling. Ryoichi shifted his gaze sideways while really drilling down to the bottom of his Pringles can to drown out the youth.

Still he caught the 'Sharks' message. Ryoichi rolled his eyes, "More like Team Imagine Victory's ASS fighter," he thought and that brought about a hissing laughter.

And then IT happened... He was called old, in so many words, by someone he owed nothing to. And someone, surprisingly, he had disliked immediately. For a moment, the world stood still and all Ryoichi could do while standing there, staring blankly at the Shark was spit out a dry "Ha!"

He rose from his slouch, straight and tall, and faced the boy. Beneath his tea-shaped shades, he looked impassively at the loud-mouthed fighter and determined, almost on a whim, that yeah, he would rip his Gunpla to shreds. Ryoichi smiled a smile that didn't reach his eyes and without mirth said, "Though I doubt you'll grasp this, you just signed your Gunpla's death warrant, Guppy. Be thinking of a new kit now, you'll need it by the end of this Tournament."

Seo fumed at Rikus prompt arrival, insult, and just as prompt exit. “Make no mistake Riku!” He said to the boy walking back to his team. “These two are simply here to fill up my roster! Something that your team seems to be doing as well.” He accused, pointing to the young Tomiyoka that stood with the rest of team Imagine Victory.

"Hey, Seo, you sure you don't want me or Char-chan to handle him? He might be too much for you." Ryoichi asked.

Before Seo could answer the Shark jumped into the conversation, and just like Riku he slandered him and his Gunpla Mercenaries before leaving. Seo was actually pretty pleased because this time it seemed the Shark brought a fire to the glasses wearing mercs eyes.

“Hmph, are you sure you want to change targets now?” Seo asked half heartedly, even though the answer was obviously no. With the taunting the other team was doing, maybe he wouldn’t even need to do one of his amazingly fantastic and inspirational speeches. Maybe. … Well, he already wrote it so maybe he’ll save it for the next tournament.

"Let's get going shall we gentlemen? Unless you want to drop a verbal colony on them? Or fire the old man at them in hopes of taking them out?" The other merc said, now donning a white mask, mildly surprising Seo. He had known he wore a mask but this was the first time seeing it.

“No no, lets compose ourselves” Seo said with a smirk, regaining composure. “We’ll destroy them in combat. Everyone, look over your things once more. The battle starts soon!” He said looking up at the clock, noting how close it was to start.

@Shiyonichi
In the back of the group Hachiyama awkwardly waves back at Kai, unsure really how to properly react to the enemy fighters sign of respect.

“Hehe so Hachi, think today you’ll have a rematch with the Reaper?” The playful voice of Tanaka, the short brown haired member of the group. “Kobayashi thinks hes marked you for death.” He said with a joking chuckle.

The glasses wearing student interjected. “I said no such thing. I merely stated that the reaper might have realized Hachiyama as the most skilled in close combat in our group. And if the Reaper takes a similar position we might have .. problems.” He said as he noticed Hachiyamas nervousness rise.

The energetic, baseball cap wearing Komi put a hand on Hachiyamas shoulder. “Don’t worry.” He said assuringly, “The mercs will handle the Shark and Reaper. WE just gotta back up Seo for the rest.” He said and they all nodded in agreement.

Seo, who was listening in nodded satisfied. He knew the mercs would bolster team moral.

Kenjiro Noa, an old, almost 64 year old man, sighed as he watched his 2 grandsons and grandaughter look over all of the groups plastic toys, er “Gunpla”, before the round started. This really wasn’t the same as when his son, Fujiro, started playing this gunpla game. Back then Kenjiro would just go to the games and cheer his son on. Now? Now it seemed like his sons childhood past time could involve the whole family. And as fun as it has been to practice and play with his family he was unsure if he would truly be useful in this game.

“Are you fine Father?” Asked Nojiko his step daughter, bless her soul for taking care of his son.

“Oh I’m fine, just alittle worried.” He admitted.

“Theres nothing to worry about gramps!” The oldest of the children, Sojiro a 1st year middle schooler, said to him. “Me and you will be working together on this one so we’ll have eachothers backs.” he said with a smile and Kenjiro smiled whole heartedly.

Ah how nice it was to spend time with family.

Naoki at the front counter smiled happily as he finished the sign ups for their group. As he waited, he noticed an older man looking through the gunpla on the shelves. His eyes lingering on the original RX-78-2. “Ah, a lover of the classics eh? I myself am partial to mass production types. Being able to customize them to your liking much easier then ace units.”

The older man smiles “Ah but thats where the RX-78s beaty comes in. A strong but simple machine makes it both high performance and easy to customize.” He said as he turned to Naoki. “Fujiro Noa, leader of Team Noa Family.” The man said with an extended hand.

Naoki returned the gesture, shaking hands. “Naoki Yukihiro, leader of Team Imagine Victory. Seems like we’re going to be rivals this tournament, eh?” He asked and the older man smiled.

“Seems so. Let it be known that my family is pretty strong. We even have a secret weapon!” He said with a chuckle as he walked back to his family. “See you in the arena, Naoki Yukihiro”

Naoki smirked. “Seeya around Fujiro.” He said “You have a secret weapon?” He whispered to himself as he looked back to his own team, and the bag containing their flagship.

So do I.

@Blade17
Hanko replied, ‘No problem, they’ll definitely add versatility to your arsenal.’ To Blades text as the red hair boy looked around. The arcade was mostly empty save for the participants and the store owner, a long haired woman with hair in a ponytail.

@Double@Shiyonichi@KenjuGuy@Blade17
As Naoki walked up to his group, he was greeted by Riku who also just regrouped with Jun, "Whelp, Seo's right over there." he told Naoki. "And you can probably see the mercs he brought with him. I wouldn't worry too much about Seo. The poor bastard is so easy to manipulate I'm sure I'll crush him all over again. The two new guys though... I dunno, they might be pretty tough."

Naoki nodded “We’ll see how things play out, although ... ” Naoki almost went completely silent at Charmaine's helmet. It was almost nostalgic. But he quickly banished the thoughts as the store clerk entered the middle of the room and gathered everyone's attention.

The screen above the tables began to display information as the tables began to move, forming two arenas, one at the front of the store and one at the back.

Objective WARS Kishimoto Locals Tournament

Rules:
- In total, 2 Objective WARS Battles, 10,000 Production Points
- Failure to complete their objective results in defeat.
-Loss of all units and Production Points results in defeat.

Naoki nodded to himself. This was going to be his first real test as a leader, he needed to be able to lead their group to victory. No matter what. A horrible first battle could result in a losing streak like many other groups have faced.

The screen soon changed again, revealing the match ups.

Team Imagine Victory VS Team Noa Family

Team Zenshin High VS Team Ikuro High

Naokis Gunpla Base pinged as he and the other leaders where given the details of their battles.

As a part of Operation Meteor, Team Imagine Victory has been assigned to destroy the target being kept in the Lake Victoria base guarded by Team Noa Family. The targets are 2 groups of Taurus models. One being kept at the base and one being transpoted to a space shuttle 100 kilometers north. Operation time will be 30 minutes.

With a smile, Naoki turned to the others, gathering them all to explain the mission to them. "Out team will be split up in half, the Assault team, and the Chase team." He said as he broke the team in half.

Blade, Tomiyoka, and Jun being placed in the Chase team.

Naoki, Riku, and Kai on the Assault team.

"And Haro will pilot our flagship." He said as he finished assigning team. "We're going to be starting over 150 Kilometers east of Victoria, at 100 kilometers the Chase team will use the ships catapults to chase down the tauros heading north, at 30 kilometers the Assault team will do the same on the main base. Remember our main target is the Taurus models."

Naoki turned to Blade, "The Wing Zero has the best performance in the sky out of all the gunpla, And you seem to have the easiest time in the air out of all of us. Look after those two, ok?" Naoki said with a confident smile.

He then looked to Jun and Tomiyoka. "Although the Captain Miracle can fly its not capable of long distance flights like the Wing Zero or Tomiyokas Zeta, I want you to use Tomiyokas Zeta Gundam as a Sub Flight system to catch up to the train with the others."

"I'll give further instructions out in the arena. For now. Break!!" He said as he ended the groups huddle, everyone getting into positions.

@Renny@Dezuel
As a part of the Guinea Pig Squad, Team Zenshin High has been assigned to destroy the target invading the Earth Federations testing facility, Team Ikuro High. Defeat all enemies before they destroy all 4 control towers!. Operation time will be 30 minutes.

Seo smiled as he gathered the group and gave instructions. "Zenshins main force will be guarding the towers. I hope you mercs can deal with the trash?" He asked slash instructed as he and the rest of the group walked to the tables, all preparing to launch.

Riku had to admit, he was a little anxious. He hadn't had a chance to run as many tests on the Yamato's secret weapon as he would have liked. This left him feeling uncertain it would work if they needed to use it today. And so, to alleviate those nerves, he addressed those concerns to the team, particularly Naoki and Haro.

"Hey, Naoki? You too, Haro." Riku said over comms everyone broke off and went to their positions, "Let's try not to use the trump card today if we can help it. I haven't been able to test it as much as I'd like to. And besides, I think we'd all prefer a grander stage to really show it off on, yeah?" he said, but was quick to add, "But Haro can go ahead and keep it on standby in case it comes to that."

For this first mission, Riku chose to deploy in his Manticore. He'd given it some slight modifications in the intervening two weeks. Namely, he added a wrist mounted retractable Heat Rod to give the suit a close range option for attack. Other than that, the only other change was to the paint job. The urban camo on the suit's armor had been replaced by a much greener jungle camo. So for areas with heavy foliage, it would blend in pretty well. Riku figured his could use the long range scope functions of his Long Rifle to survey the area after they launched and pinpoint the locations of the Taurus on the ground. He could destroy them pretty simply with his armaments but predicted that he might need backup against the enemy team. He was in a mass production unit, after all, so any fight against an ace unit would be an uphill by default. He'd only beaten Seo as soundly as he did because of good tactics and terrain advantage.

Eventually, their ship launched into the simulated battle zone. There had been much discussion between himself and Naoki about which class of battleship would best suit Riku's idea for replicating the Space Battleship Yamato. Eventually they were able to settle on using an Amalthea-class ship, as its relatively simple and symmetrical bow made it suitable for fitting it with the secret weapon: the Wave Motion Gun. The ship of the original series used a vastly different power system for the gun, a Wave Motion Engine, that could be overclocked up to 120% to provide the necessary power to fire the weapon. Riku's build, on other hand, sported a different method of powering the weapon. It probably didn't look like it on the surface, but the Amalthea model that Riku had built had actually had its original engine parts replaced entirely. In their place was a 00 series GN Condensor fitted with two GN Drive Units. It not only gave their ship the ability to use the Trans Am System, but the Trans Am System itself was the ship's primary method of overclocking its engine output to power the Wave Motion Gun. As for the look of the ship, on the outside it appeared to keep the same shape as an actual Amalthea-class. Of course, Riku wouldn't allow the ship to have anything less than a completely original paint job. In this case, the ship was painted to have a color palette reminiscent of Japanese WW2 Era Battleship. The bottom third or so retained it's official red color, being the part of a battleship that is traditionally submerged in the water. The upper deck sections on the other hand, was given a classic bluish steel color, again as an homage to the armored hull of a WW2 Battleship. And finally, a large golden yellow emblem could be seen on the top of the ship's bow in the middle section. It was a stylized anchor, the image often used as a symbol of the Earth Defense Forces in Space Battleship Yamato. Just above it, the ship's name painted in romanized letters: Yamato. And on each side of the anchor's center bar, there was a stylized "I" and "V" respectively which stood for the name of the team: Imagine Victory.

"Oh, uh... I may have sort of... created an insignia without running it by you first." Riku said to Naoki with an innocent chuckle, "I kinda only came up with it late last night, so I didn't have time to show it to you guys first. Sorry about that."

Kishimoto Arcade, Local Tournament.
@Dezuel @Crimson Lion - Set your heart ABLAZE

There was a part of him that wanted to admit a well-kept secret. A secret that served only to harm him so far. It allowed insults to be smashed into him and disappointments to invade his very core. A few years back it even caused him to quit Nationals... And now, like so many times before--when he saw children truly in love with the sport, or being around Seo and his group while they formulated victories, even encountering that loud-mouth Guppy and being insulted by Char-chan--it breathed life-anew into his smoldering passion. Sometimes he could feel it growing, raging with his heartbeat. Whenever he did, Ryoichi slowed himself down and controlled his breathing.

While Seo handed out instructions akin to "Do your jobs, Mercs." Ryoichi clasped his hand around his trembling fist till they stopped. "No use in losing your cool. Get the job done with the least amount of effort."

"Inhale deeply, exhale just as long." Mostly composed, Ryoichi fixed a careless smile on his face and strode off to his spot at the table, "Consider the trash already bagged, Cap'n. Char-chan! lets have fun out there," he jested aloud, pumping his fist. "Fighting!"

Digging in his plastic bag, beside the empty can of Pringles, he pulled out Gundam Baelstrom. A well-worn Gundam Testament painted gun-metal. It was heavy with memories and unspoken emotions. Ryoichi let the bag slip from his wrist and onto the floor. He placed Gundam Baelstrom onto the table, familiarized himself with the controls for the millionth time, and launched without a word when signaled. Per usual, the moment he entered onto the battlefield, all his senses were honed to a point and consumed by the overlays and screens in front of him. He was officially on the clock.

Kai had no objections with Naoki’s plan so he simply accepted the outcome, the delinquent turned to Jun. “Remember not to get ahead of yourself. The team should come before your recklessness.” The Gunpla fighter didn’t need to address anyone else, as he felt that the loudmouthed Gunpla fighter was the only real loose cannon in their group and not to diss Tomiyoka, out of the group he was probably the weakest link meaning a screw up would be very costly. Just like usual Kai simply passed by and prepared to launch following Riku’s example.

“So you’re going with the Leo?” Kai asked Riku, having seen what his teammate had set. The Gunpla fighter didn’t really have much to say about their ship, after all he barely knew about Gunpla in the first place, much less ships. “So, I’m on point then.” The Benkei was very heavily armed as a matter of fact it was actually a bit too armed as the unit had some balance issues which made it hard to control, though this wasn’t much of a problem with Kai’s own skills. Either way the other two members of his assault team would be less armed by a pretty wide margin, meaning it would be up to the Gunpla fighter to come in with the wide scale destruction and dealing with the enemy’s ace and other nasties if they were at the base, but considering the fact that losing the base would be more devastating than the train, it was very likely that they would defend the base more heavily.

Jun was taken aback by the intensity of the white-haired punk on Seo's team. The boy had hallucinated for a moment, that there was a massive dark aura surrounding that man. No, that had just been a by-product of him watching too much Gundam. Jun wasn't going to allow himself to be intimidated by some geezer, "What was that!? That's some big talk for an ant that's about to be crushed! The next time you see m-"

Jun had been an uproar, getting closer and closer to white-hair's face with every word. He was darn near going to touch his face until he had been pulled back. It had been back Naoki, who was dragging Jun away by the back of his collar. "What the hell, Naoki!? I'm not done with that bastard! He's gotta learn his lesson with how he talks to me!!" Such an rain of complaints had been launched from the boy as he was carried away unceremoniously.

He would continue his rant until they had made it to their battle stations. Where at that point, Jun had finally gotten his frustration all out for the most part. "I'm definitely gonna make sure that guy bows down to me when I'm done with him..."

----

Now at their preparation phase, Jun readied his Gunpla along with his fellow teammates. The task he had been given didn't seem too boring so there was nothing for him to complain about. A chase seemed pretty exciting, and he could also burn some steam in the mean time. As he was gearing up for battle, some annoying advice from Kai came to his attention. As he watched his teammate turn away, Jun stuck his tongue out immaturely. "Heh, geniuses are misunderstood in every era. 'Reckless' he says. I prefer the term 'daredevil'!" Jun commented as arrogant as ever, cracking his knuckles in the meantime.

The boy docked his gunpla onto his station and readied himself inside the Yamato. "Yeesh, I have to hand it to you Riku. This is pretty cool!" he commented over the comms as he waited for them to reach their destination. "Blade! Tomiyoka! As long as you guys have me, our victory is assured! Remember, our targets are the Taurus' models they're carrying. Blade, you'll be the fastest since you don't have to carry me like Tomi does. So we'll be a bit behind you. When you catch sight of the targets, just start blasting them to pieces! That outta slow them down for us to catch up and cover you with support! Then once we're close enough in position, I'll tear them apart as the main event!" Jun stated his plan of attack. Though he wasn't too sure of what their opponents would bring at them, he was atleast certain this simple method of attack should be effective.

Once their ship reached 100 kilometers--

"Jun Takamaki, Captain Miracle Mk II! Taking off!" he shouted and propelled his newly improved Captain Miracle into the open sky. Immediately, he paired with Tomiyoka's Zeta Gundam by riding on top of it's waverider mode. Thankfully, with the Captain Miracle's upgrade, it was even lighter than before, making it easier for the Zeta to carry.

At the first table Naoki and his group stood at one side of the 12 hexagon table. With Gunpla in hand he places their Haro on the table, their flagship along with other extra gunpla in its storage compartment.

The holographic screen above the table started the countdown as everyone entered the arena. Naoki looked down at his gunpla ready to go. The Fantastic GM was a customized GM with a variety of extra weaponry and I-field generators, making it perfect for ship defense. These along with its own secret weapon, he could counter variable range fighters easily.

“Naoki Yukihiro. Become real, Fantastic GM!!!”

“Haro Fight!! Battleship Yamato, Launch!!”

“Tomiyoka here! Fantastic Zeta Lets Go!!”

As everyone in team Imagine Victory begins to enter the arena, above the earths atmosphere, the group flocks to the Yamato to conserve energy, all entering the ship, as the group begins to head west.

At 100 km out, Naoki signalled for the first team to move. “Chase team, this is our first battle as a group. Look out for each other, and don’t forget the mission. Remember, Imagine Victory!!!” And with that, the chase team began their pursuit of the train carrying the Tauros. The catapult launched Blade first, before Jun then Tomiyoka, as the later 2 linked up and charged forward towards their target.

@KenjuGuy@Blade17
As the Chase team continues their pursuit of the Tauros, Tomiyoka begins to internally panic. What was he doing here? He was in no way ready for an actual tournament! He couldn’t even aim a blaster right! But Mr. Takemori had told him his flying was already top, and Mr. Naoki had been working with me on the Zeta and its defensive measures.

‘Remember, you don’t have to actually fight anybody in the round. As long as you are flying around and not getting shot down you’re doing a good job!’ Tomiyoka remembered Naoki's words of encouragement. Naoki had informed him that Jun and Blade, along with the other 2 fighters, were strong enough to take care of the mission and that he just needed to assist with whatever he can.

Breaking out of his thoughts, as the group continued to fly over the now desert landscape the outline of a train comes into view. “Everybody! 10 Kilos ahead, the train!!!” He shouted to the other two over the intercom as they charged the train from above.

On top of the train, 3 pilots controlling 3 gunpla stood, looking out at the group of 3 as they approached from the sky. The old man Kenjiro Noa piloted the Guntank as he starts to take aim at the enemies. “Hmph, All these robots confuse me to no end, but tank cannons haven’t changed since my days in the JSDF. It's time your grandpa showed what hes made of!!” The elderly man yelled. The Guntank jumped off the train and began driving towards the 3 pursuers, firing rounds into the air.

His grandson Sojiro joined in on the war cry as he took control of his Guncannon, following his grandfather's lead as he also fires blasts into the air, unsheathing a beam saber in case the enemy swooped down.

Hijiki, The older sister of Sojiro, watches as the two of them jump off the train. Piloting the Transformable MS Asshimar, she transforms immediately in order to counter the pursuers in the air, firing blasts as well.

@Double@Shiyonichi
Minutes earlier with Naoki and the assault team, 50 Kilometers out, Haro begins to alert those in the assault group of an upcoming ship. “Warning, Warning, Enemy Approaching!!!” Haro yelled over the coms as Naoki and The Fantastic GM stood on the bridge of the Yamato, looking out at the enemy.

“So, they decided to attack rather then wait for us.” Naoki wondered as he tried to gain a visual of them. As his long range camera got a view of the enemy, Naoki immediately registered the charged light of a large weapon. “HARU VEER RIGHT!!!!” He yelled as the Yamato did just that, a moment before a large beam weapon fired where they just were. The resulting shockwave causes the Yamato to become unsteady as the Fantastic GMs magnetic feet activate, keeping it secure. “IT’S AN ASPARAS!!!!! Riku, Kai, I need you two out here NOW.” He said as the Fantastic GM activated its twin I-Field Generator, covering the whole front of the ship with a plavsky barrier.

At the other side of the field, the Asparas II, piloted by Nojiko the housewife, advanced and began to charge its second Mega Particle Cannon shot. Following the lead of 2 Zakus, 1 red and 1 green, that are advancing from ground level, Firing pot shots at the Yamato as they hide within the forests below.

@Renny@Dezuel
At the other table with team Zenshin High, Seo couldn’t feel more confident in their situation. Once the team of 7 had dropped down on the testing facility, Seo had set to work telling everyone where to go. Each of the Zenshin fighters were stationed at each of the control towers, with Seo and his Alvaaron standing alone in the center of the 4.

“You two, I want one of you to go north and the other to run south. I don’t care who goes which way. Just make as much noise as you can in order to draw out the enemy, understand?” He had told them, truly not really caring who went where.

The important thing was that while the Mercs brought out enemies it would leave his boys the freedom to attack them from far away. He was paying good money so he wanted them to perform. He smiled as Hachiyama, Kobayashi, Tanaka and Komi stood stationed at the top of each control tower, a high powered GN sniper equipped to all 4 of them. Their defensive positioning was perfect, with himself in the center to provide help where needed.

Past the southern forest, far out into the ocean, a group of 3 Pisces units begin to rise from the ocean as they begin to approach the land. The one in the middle, colored a distinct yellow compared to the other 2 standard blue units accompanying it.

Hidden far north of the testing facility, a pair of 2 green Leos slowly inch their way forward, hidden amongst the trees as they focus their weapons forward in hopes of launching a surprise attack. Behind the 2 Leos hid 2 Virgos, one colored dark red and the other dark blue, as they follow the Leos lead.

Kishimoto arcade, local tournament.

Having seen Ryoichi's reaction to one of the opposing teams member, had csused Charmaine to snicker. Whilst he attempted to conceal it by placing his tightened fist in front of his lips, it was easily noticable that the masked young man were amused. But then came the time to get to the matter at hand, and as such Charmaine made his way over with his wheelchair, picking up his briefcsse from it upon approaching the place where he would place his gunpla.

It was with the most gentle caution that he took his masterpiece from it's restingplaxe. The gunpla was a heavily kitbashed thing, black, orange and yellow in colour, yet it also seemed to shimmer. Like a fish with it's scales when subject to sunlight. In the young man's eyes, this were perfection. As he had yet to taste defeat with it.

The young man placed the gunpla down, after he had adjusted his seating, raising how high up he sat in his rolling throne.

"Charmaine Creusherenada, Creusherazade going!" The masked young man said aloud, offering a slightly sinister grin as he did.

'Naoki Yukihiro... your gunpla must not be allowed... to win.' He thought as he envisioned his future opponent if they would defeat their eespective opponent

'I want to meet you...GUNPLA!' The young man thought, as his mind became barraged with images of his past. And the one who set him on the path.

'As long as I wear this mask, you and I shall be enemies...' He smurked to himself.

But such thoughts he decided to shake away for now, there were some minor tasks to complete first. He wasn't in it for the money though, and when Seo revealed their team's tactica he wasn't impressed, while the plan was no soubt effective, it was lacking in what Charmaine deemesbimportant. Honor. Glory. And the opportunity to become stronger through personal one on one battle. Up close and personal.

Though it was xlear that Seo would have none of it.

"Hmph. I only fight the supreme of opponents,to dispose of the unworthy is nothing akin to a fight. It's as natural as breathing." Charmaine relayed to Seo on his team's voice channel. "And ypu better stay out of my way, Silverback." He added, nodding his head towards Ryoichi.

"I'll head south, because I cannot afford anything going south here. Rest assured Seo, I always come out the victor, Charmaine out!" He backhanded all the small visual feed of the team aside once the battle began, as they were in the way as far as he was concerned. The young man took off towards the south with his weapons drawn and his thrusters igniting with speed

'Come and face Creusherazade and let me end this masquerade by demasking you frauds!' He thought as his eyes darted around for any sign of the enemy.

' You.may try to innovade, coordinate or quantum brainwave as much as you wish. My victory shall nontheless be the natural result.'
