Thanks for pointing that out. I have a really bad habit of skipping words when I'm writing, and sometimes my brain causes me to miss them again when giving a post a look over. But yeah, I indeeded the Hulk.

The number one editing trick to catch these sorts of things is to verbally read your post out loud. When reading in your head, your brain autocorrects things without you realizing and you're bound to miss mistakes. Reading out loud allows you to hear each word and syllable so you can notice when something doesn't sound correct, and then can fix it accordingly. I can confidently say that doing that will catch 99% of all errors made during the writing process.

Yes, but in all fairness, I was working on Yara as Wonder Girl before Gowi dropped.

Just don't read anything I post until the next day.

Just...don't. For both our sakes.

Also, the new ETA for a post is Friday/Saturday. Tuesday didn't go as planned, and both today and tomorrow are full of afterschool programs/meetings. By the time I get home from work, I'm more focused on relaxing for the two or three hours I have before I need to sleep. I'll try to do two this weekend to make up for it - no promises, though.

The school year ends in three weeks, and with it so do my teacher responsibilities - at least until Summer school begins. After that, I'm much freer to write.

I would love to redo the plot I had for Mr. Freeze. Having him go on a journey to regain his trust in himself and in Batman

I do know about this practice as I did it with school work or anything official. However, as I RP for fun I kind of neglected doing this. But I should probably do this with my posts as it would probably strengthen my writing as a whole. Thanks for bringing up this technique guys.

I'd love to say I'll post tomorrow but I am contractually obligated to watch Kenobi.

So Saturday.

What do you guys use to type your posts down onto? The postbox here is pretty alright, catches the easy grammar typos anyways.

I just PM myself. If I feel I need to grammar/spellcheck I copy/paste into Word. Even then the Guild is pretty good at picking up spelling, though it won't pick up typos or weird syntax like Word will.

Notepad++

Then I'll let the Guild do a quick review within the post-box.

But I write my posts in one sitting, start to finish. So you'll see some serious typos because I write/type fast and do it in one sitting.

But I'll read the posts after I post them; and make corrections with each re-read.

Hence...read my posts the next day if typos bug you.

But this is for-fun writing, so...I'm not that worried about it. My writing sucks. What's a typo or two?

I can never write in one sitting. I envy that. That's a skill.

I go like:
Vague outline for a posts progression. Fill out the paragraphs. Take out excessive stupid jokes and innuendo. Grammar. Spelling. Add in something where several words that start with the same letters follow each other like a dumb discount V for Vendetta. Never actually post until someone points out that I'm holding shit up.

I keep a PM on the site to myself where I put character sheets and posts. Usually in the same camp as Ruby as well where I wrote posts up in one sitting, though I usually read them over before posting.
