Current Sorry for the delay everyone. I've been absolutely swamped with work these last weeks. I'm getting my replies up slowly.

Keeping track of things makes it easier to avoid bad experiences! And to not make the same mistake like an idiot... :-/

Bio

"Humanity takes great pride in three things. Their willpower, their greed and their mortality.

Their will and endless greed allows them to grow and accend past other creatures
But their mortality denies them divinity

It's a delightful purgatory between being Fallen and being Divine"

Sophia

@Rai @13org @RumikoOhara @Jollan

The little test Vrondi gave Sophia held her back a little while but it finally ended. She could understand his preoccupation and especially why he did that... With that matter dealt with, she now had something to do before returning to the Great Library. She wanted to meet the Alliance group. Their journey would be hard and Sophia wanted to offer as much help as she could, without interfering too much, after all, that was still their trial.

Sophia originally wanted to meet with the group at the castle, but they got out before she was able to speak with all of them properly. Fortunately, not all was lost as Sophia could easily track their scent. If she flew low enough, above the most traveled routes, she would be able to discern their scent form other travelers. She still remembered some of their smells and names... Mason, Dremmick, Ami...

"Now... where could have they gone..." Sophia mumbled to herself, flying above some of the most traveled roads, oblivious to the panic that she was causing to the ones going below her. At least she wasn't flying on her full speed. If she was, it would cause a lot of troubles to the poor merchants and their caravans.

A lot of different scents came and went as she flew through. Strong scents of spices and other things carried by merchant caravans, the peculiar smells from the most different kinds of people until she felt some familiar scents amongst all of those. It was Dremmick, Mason and Ami's smell. She could feel some other scents traveling with them, but she assumed they were the rest of the alliance group she wasn't able to meet.

"There they are!" Sophia exclaimed with a satisfied tone as she followed the road and the scent trail. It wouldn't take long until she got there, especially thanks to how fast she could fly.

Pearl Town / Gaia

The town of Pearl wasn't nearly as big as Vrondi or other major town, but it was still reasonably big and definitely busy for a town that size, thanks to being a major hub for traders, merchants and farmers. Even from kilometers away, a dragon's powerful eyesight could easily see the entire town in vivid details. As Sophia flew towards the small town, she could see men, women and children gathered together for a festival, watching large men and women as they stretched themselves, getting ready to the main event. Despite the clear destruction, signs of battle and the foul smell on the air, those people still found strength to organize that festival in order to raise their spirits a little bit.

Landing before she got nearby the town, Sophia choose to shapeshift to her humanoid form and get in the city in a more silent manner. Even though she was on Gaia, having a dragon casually fly by their city and land on it is still a rather big thing. A mere visitor with draconic features was much easier to pass unnoticed. Even if it was someone with an appearance as... exotic... as Sophia's humanoid form...

The second she entered the town, she began searching for the members of the alliance she knew about. After a brief moment, she caught Dremmick and Ami's scent. They were coming from the medical center, which, strangely enough, was also from where a strange, foul scent was coming from.

The second she entered the medical center, she was greeted by familiar faces. It was Dremmick, and Ami, whom Sophia had met before on Vrondi.

"Dremmick, Ami!" Sophia said, calling both of them. While Dremmick was talking with some of the staff members, Ami was standing nearby the injured, offering some respite to them with her aura.

"Gather the rest of the alliance and meet me just outside the town. I will explain everything once everyone gets there." Sophia said, looking to both Ami and Dremmick expectantly.

"I'm sorry to ask this of you, but time is something that we do not have to spare... I wish we could have more time to talk properly but the situation right now is a bit... complicated. I'll do the best I can to answer all the questions you have." She said, with a sad smile on her face. The smell of death on that medical clinic was strong and impossible to ignore...

Karina Frost

There was too much going on, so much that Karina was almost certain that she would be safer by leaving the group behind. Not only there was Hark, who could potentially turn on her, but now there was that stranger standing up on the other rooftop. Even though Karina had two of her ice blades pointed at her, it was difficult to keep her eyes on both her and Hark at the same time. In the army, if a soldier pointed his weapons to a superior, he would be shot down without hesitation...

Karina heard Chres as he gave his little speech trying to lecture her. To be honest, his words were starting to get on her nerves but the last drop was when he referred to her as 'kid'. Karina's hostility and dissatisfaction were almost palpable as Chres continued his speech, talking about how much he wanted to kill himself & etc.

But before Karina could say anything, the woman who was standing on the other roof spoke up with a rather rude tone, saying she was a healer, that she wasn't a threat and that if she was in fact a threat, they would all be dead.

While Karina wasn't particularly satisfied with that outcome, she reluctantly sheathed her rapier as the ice blades melted on the air.

"Dare to call me a kid once more, Chres, and I will happily grant that wish of yours." Karina said, almost hissing as he looked to him.

"In the army, if a soldier raises his weapon to a superior, he would be killed without hesitation. Having to cooperate with someone that raised a weapon at me will only be more stressful and dangerous. Trust is something that is very easy to lose and extremely hard to regain..." Karina continued, looking to both Chres and Hark.

"Pay attention at what I've said. I've given you all enough reasons to trust me even though I came from the nation of touch, yet you choose to play dumb and point a dagger at me nonetheless. If anything, you should consider me an ally even being from the military of touch... why? Use your heads... Why I would come here, on enemy territory, alone?" Karina said, looking to them.

"I may be a high patent officer, but I'm not the one calling the shots. I came here, alone, to know more about the cult and try to persuade my superiors that the cult is a bigger threat than the war itself. But still... if you want to go ahead and kill basically the only high patent officer at the military of touch that is trying to figure out another way to deal with this other than simply wiping out both your nation and the cult... Be my guest... Maybe you and Chres have similar wishes, Hark." Karina said, turning to the new arrival after she finished speaking.

"Regarding you, if you did as much as moved a muscle, my ice blades would quickly dispatch you. Healer or not, I clearly can't trust not even those who were supposed to be my allies, so don't expect me to trust a stranger just because they're wearing healer's garb..." Karina completed, still looking at both Hark and Chres with a cold, hostile stare.

She could... somehow... appreciate Octavio's intentions to lighten up the atmosphere but it was obviously not that effective. She didn't knew that nobleman's true intentions but after Hark's little stunt, trusting him wasn't an option anymore. The situation was already stressful enough without having to think about your allies backstabbing you...

"We do have bigger threats for now, but be warned Chres, if anyone tries anything funny, I wont hesitate in putting them down. Hark's little stunt was a clear reminder that we are not friends, only forced allies, and as I said before... trust is something hard to regain once lost..." Karina completed, turning towards the cultists coming towards them and waiting for the group. They had to conserve strength, so it would be better to flee than to fight against them, but sadly, Karina had to wait for the rest of the group.
Will have my post done this Monday too :-)
Nina

@Hekazu

"Hey! No need to be so impatient!" Nina said, sighing as she heard Ribby and Croak's harsh words.

It wasn't surprising they wanted to go right to the point, but Nina just wanted to test the waters a bit. Not only she wanted to know what exactly did they knew, but it was also a way to tell them that she wasn't simply a mindless information seller, but she knew how exactly the situation was. It was a little... trick... she learned with some other information brokers as a way to secure possible clients. After all, information coming from people who knew how the situation was in the area and wasn't merely 'memorizing words' and selling that, was much more safer and reliable.

"Don't think this is all I know. I know that what I said now isn't exactly... secret. I just thought you guys would find that getting info from someone that knows what is happening around these parts and know the situation that is happening is more way more reliable than if you were talking with someone who just 'happened to hear someone talking about it', don't you guys agree?" Nina asked, with a mischievous smirk.

"Well... that and it may help you guys to see the benefits in working with me... A loyal clientele is always welcome, you know?" Nina said, with a smile.

The hollow sound plastic as Croak tapped his fingers on his gun was also a reminder that Nina was completely unarmed apart of her knife and wasn't wearing any equipment, but that fact didn't faze her. Nina still believed that negotiation would go perfectly well.

"To the interesting part then, shall we? Does the name 'Murkywater Security' ring a bell for you guys?"
Nina asked, with a mischievous smirk as she leaned on the table.

"Those who knew Lt. Davison often said that he was a very greedy man. It's not a secret that he pretty much sold equipment to gangs on opposite ends of a conflict without even hesitating..." Nina said, carefully watching both men's reactions.

"Until there, everything is ok, right? Well... What if I said to you guys that a few months before Lt. Davison disappeared, he met up with some guys who definitely weren't from any gangs around here? Not once or twice too... but quite a few times to be honest..." Nina continued, still watching their movements. Nina knew very well that they were armed and the fact that they were tapping their guns while talking with her was a clear warning that they wouldn't hesitate in using their guns if she proved to be useless to them.

"From what I've been able to gather... Whoever these guys were, Lt. Davison's dealing with them made the guys at Murkywater Security pretty irritated... Him selling things to gangs & etc. wasn't something that had anything to do with Murkywater, but the second he started to speak with these other guys, it suddenly became their business." Nina continued.

"Call it female intuition, but I think that these guys at the Murkywater Security are more than what they appear to be... Mostly always, my intuition is spot on, but it's still, just a hunch..." Nina said, resting her head on her hands, leaning over the table.

"About the guy in trench coat... I'm not sure if that's your man, but I've heard some rumors about a corporate solo with dark skin, trench coat and a beanie hat... Not sure if that's really him but I wouldn't be surprised if this guy had something to do with Murkywater too or maybe another corp." Nina completed with a mischievous smile as she looked at both men.

"If things are as I'm theorizing... It wouldn't be surprising if there were other corporations involved in this behind the shadows... Maybe other corps who themselves don't like Murkywater that much? Maybe rival corps..." Nina completed.

"For now, that's all I have. But I could search around some more if you guys agree to form a... temporary partnership..." Nina said with a wink and a discreet laugh.

"So... Was that info good enough for you guys?" Nina asked, looking to both men.
Lila Moriarty

@Rai @13org

Lila fell on her knees as she looked to Anui's expression. Cold, emotionless, side by side with his mother, whom still has that wicked smirk on her face. Even if Lila wanted to say anything. In shock, her throat was dry and she didn't have strength to stand up as she looked down to the ground. But instead of crying and breaking down, her tears stopped flowing. There was something wrong with all that...

Since when she became so dependent on someone? She loved Anui but... That wasn't who she was... Was she trying to run away from her true self? It didn't matter how much she tried, she couldn't make her body forget the reflexes of an assassin, she couldn't clean her hands from the blood she had already spilled... Love... Love made her fragile, weak, useless... broken... Love and all those other unnecessary emotions were the ones who put her in that situation, kneeling down in a pitiful state... She wouldn't let her newly discovered emotions blindly guide her anymore...

Fortunately, just as the Nayu elder was about to order the guards to take her, and Lila in return was getting ready to fight back, the very ground beneath them started shaking uncontrollably. Panic almost immediately followed on the hall where Lila was. Even though she thought she could use that confusion to escape, it was undeniable that that shaking wasn't just an earthquake... There was a tremendous force coming from below them... Something was making the ground shake like that...

But just as Lila was ready to run, a familiar voice interrupted her. Leaping above the others with a beautiful cloak made of black feathers, Anui landed before Lila.

"I'm sorry.. But we must go." Anui said, looking to the guards, who were helping the other royals to escape. Anui's mother followed him, shortly after appearing in front of them, saying that Lila should be in a cell. Lila gave a step back, wary about what exactly did Anui want with her, even though his mother's presence there already gave Lila a few ideas about what they wanted. But before she could think about it, but Anui's reaction immediately proved her wrong. Baring his fangs towards his own mother, Lila felt his arms embracing her and enveloping her in his coat.

Even if Lila was a warrior, an assassin, she was powerless when Anui embraced her. Love was a really scary thing. Beautiful, but scary... She couldn't help but to think... Love was no different from chains and shackles... The scariest part about all that was that people would happily use those chains and shackles voluntarily. And Lila... wasn't different. She couldn't help but feel happy and relieved when she felt Anui embracing her as he shouted towards his mother that he wanted to have an audience with the king. Even though she was a bit irritated with Anui, she couldn't help but let out a discreet smile as he sank through the shadow portal summoned by Anui.

Arriving at the castle's peaks, Anui and Lila observed the destruction and chaos going on below them. Looking at Anui's face, she could understand a bit why he was in shock seeing that but herself didn't feel much about that. Should she be feeling equally in shock? That wasn't her city... Those weren't her allies... Those weren't her family. Her family was only Anui.

Lila silently followed Anui to the private armory, watching as he took of his coat and wore a suit of light armor. His words sounded a bit ironic to Lila... How could she consider that 'her' kingdom? The only one who wanted her was Anui. Not even his mother wanted Lila. Rejected by her own race and betrayed by the Aion, the only place in the world for Lila seemed to be besides Anui.

"I'm sorry for... everything. I've not been a reliable companion until now, have I?" Lila said, looking down for a bit.

"My mind is still... So many things happened, so many new emotions, so many things to deal with in only two days... I know it must have been difficult to deal with me this time, but I... I'm learning how to control these emotions." Lila said, looking to Anui.

"I am still irritated by what happened... But the promise I made wont change. I am your blade and yours alone. For you, I would kill as many as it's necessary." she said looking at him, clearly irritated by him saying nothing when she called for him.

"Let me do the one thing I know how to do well, Anui. Let me fight by your side." Lila said, looking to him with a serious stare. She wanted to keep him safe, but that would also help her to clear her mind, to learn how to control all those emotions and to deal with all the changes on her life and herself.
Will have my post done tomorrow! :-)
You there guys? I was waiting to write something more before @Pezz570 posted again but... O_O
Bast Ragoczy

Although the gladiator and the ronin were skilled opponents, both Titanica and Eilidh managed to defeat them. Regarding the other bandits, they weren't much of a threat as Bast and Vară easily dealt with them. After everything ended, George happily started to thank them and congratulate them by their victory. Despite his jokes and good mood, Bast's still didn't trust him. Something was happening and he would discover exactly what.

Bast himself would say something about his statement about a harem but he simply watched with a smile on his face as Titanica grabbed the man with her claws. Eilidh, even though she was adorable while blushing like that, was obviously upset about his statement as well. Not only that, but Eilidh had said something interesting... Something that Bast was already suspecting before...

"You have some explaining to do, mr. George..." Bast said, with a serious tone.

"And watch your tongue, Mr. George. Those aren't words one should say to a lady... Especially when said lady could easily kill him..." he continued.

"Now, leaving your rudeness aside... What exactly are you transporting? Surely you didn't expect me to believe that they are common trading goods when attacked by mercenaries this well equipped... It would be better for you to start speaking, George... It seems the girls are rather upset about what you said..." Bast said, carefully analyzing George's reactions.

Freyr

Just like the weird couple said, when Freyr and the group arrived on the place where the competition would be held, a clear and wide open green pasture, they could see a some people wearing eastern garbs, which were certainly not common around those parts. Freyr himself was allowed to join. He did receive quite a fair share of weird stares though, but in the end he was permitted to join the competition.

Freyr didn't want to sound arrogant or anything, but he was very confident in his skills. But the real problem wasn't the competition itself... The problem was getting hold of some of those arrows. The previous plan was simple, they would simply grab some and take them, but that plan was quickly scrapped when the announcer said that they weren't allowed to take arrows with them at all. Words of Sir Saburo Fujikiyo himself, the master craftsman responsible for making the arrows.

"Umm... It seems that it will be a bit harder than we previously thought..." Freyr said, looking to the group.

"I don't know how the competition will work but if we are allowed to take more than one shot, I can purposely miss one, sending the arrow flying far away so one of you could fetch... What do you think?" Freyr asked, looking to them.
