Current Sorry for the delay everyone. I've been absolutely swamped with work these last weeks. I'm getting my replies up slowly.

With the group safe and having successfully retrieved the map, Ada couldn't help but be curious about what said map had written on it. Even if she couldn't really read it, she was curious of what could possibly be so important in a small piece of paper to make them have to deal with lots of zombies. Maybe what was valuable for them wasn't the paper itself, but what it was written on it, maybe directions to something else that only then would be valuable? Ada was a bit distracted trying to peek at the map that was being held by Ditzy but when the Altissima sisters began talking she finally realized that the boy who had asked for their help... wasn't there at all... In fact, he disappeared before the trouble with the zombies began. After looking around and not seeing him, she ended up simply dismissing as if he had ran away from the zombies. After all, surely he didn't knew that there were zombies beforehand and purposely left to let them deal with them alone... right?

When Neil began talking though, it was clear that he wasn't very happy. Maybe it was something one of the sisters said, but Ada simply walked at him and patted his head, with a kind smile on her face as she tried to cheer him up. Thanks to her short attention spam and her curiosity though, the very moment she heard the sound of paper being opened, when Ditzy finally took a look at the map, she immediately dashed towards where he was, looking over his shoulder. Ada kept looking at it for a moment, then looked at the group, tilting her head in a clear expression indicating she didn't understand a thing about the map. Just like Ditzy.

Was this the thing they were after? Ada couldn't help but show her disappointment. It was just a paper with a lot of lines and stuff on it. She was expecting something different or maybe something stranger, since it was being guarded by a horde of zombies...

Freyr

Freyr listened the mysterious woman speak with a faint smile. He couldn't help but to think that, judging by her tone of voice and her words, she had also experienced her fair share of situations, making him a bit more curious about who she really was.

"Indeed. The world inside the forest is vast, maybe even more than other races might think, due to our unique connection to the forest but the world outside... Is an entire different world. Maybe it's the reason why most others from my race choose to never leave the forest. Aside from the old traditions of isolating themselves from the outside world and you know... Exile for the Vieras who choose to leave the forest..." Freyr said with a chuckle, thinking a bit on what happened when he visited the forest a while ago.

"Still... Things change, right? Even if they chose to isolate themselves from the rest of the world, they can't escape from the changes that might be coming with the passage of time." Freyr continued.

"But... You're right... I do love the forest, I miss my people but... Now I'm in a pretty interesting and problematic situation, right? Knowing two different worlds, loving both of them but not being able to chose one over the other." he said, with a chuckle and a smile.

"... It's not really all that bad when you think about it." he finished, almost laughing at himself for finding him in such situation.

When the woman told him the reason why she went to that hill though, Freyr couldn't help himself but to look at her with a kind smile on his face.

"Curiosity sometimes lead us to the most interesting encounters and situations, doesn't it?" he asked, with an amused expression.

"Oh, I don't mind it. Your company and your words are greatly appreciated, miss...?" Freyr said, asking her name.

"I'm Freyr by the way. It's a pleasure to meet you." Freyr said introducing himself, albeit a bit late.

"Would you mind telling me a bit more about yourself? I couldn't help but get a bit curious... Your words... It seems like you went through quite a lot of things, just as I did, haven't you?" Freyr asked, with a curious expression.

Mikhail simply stood silently near the fire as the others talked. He was relieved to notice that at least one more person thought that trusting SaDiablo that quickly was a bad idea. He wore a black jewel and was indeed, extremely dangerous and as it was evident the scene inside the bookstore had quite the temper. They either had to find a reason to make him absolutely loyal to them or... put him on a leash.

Other than that, Mikhail could clearly hear Gennar's angry voice as he snapped at Faeril. The Black Widow was already exhausted but she simply refused to rest despite all the clear symptoms of said exhaustion. Sure, her craft was indeed needed for the situation they were in, but if she continued to overwork herself like that, they might not be able to count with her help when it's needed in the future. The moment Gennar and the group started discussing what Fatima wanted to do so they could all rest though, Mikhail silently turned his head towards the fire in front of him. Such matters weren't ones he wanted nor needed to discuss. His role there was clear. Interestingly enough, the moment he gave a glance around, he realized that there was another one that probably had the same thoughts he was having right now.

Mikhail simply smiled kindly and refused Dareen's offer, a small canteen with an alcohol inside. He was never good with alcoholic beverages and he hated how the substance made him feel afterwards. The loss of dexterity and everything else. Fatima, unlike him though, promptly accepted the flask giving a sip herself, which was probably something good for her, maybe to help to relax and ease her mind a little bit.

"I was never that good with alcohol, but thanks anyways." Mikhail said with a small nod to Dareen, thanking her before he discreetly leaned closer to her, speaking in a low tone.

"It might be a good idea to offer some more to Fatima though. It will probably help her to relax and ease her mind a little bit." he finished, before returning to his original position.

"I have an incredibly light sleep. Besides that, I am used in sleeping only a few hours per night. I can keep watch if you all agree with it." Mikhail said, looking up when Fatima mentioned setting up a watch system after saying that she didn't want to stay longer than it was necessary.

Summary of the last two days

Thanks to the coincidence of having encountered Regulus and Ilan, Ayita, Cade and Sakura were finally able to make more allies. They continued to use the greenhouse for their meetings, both regarding humans and fighting against Aklenroth and to just talk to each other. Thanks to Sakura's disguise too, Ayita was able to walk around Roshmi without many issues, saving the times some people were a bit too 'incisive' trying to hit on her, but Cade was quick to send them away whenever that happened. Cade also knew Roshmi very well and was able to guide her to many interesting and beautiful places. Knowing more not only about the city, but it's people and their culture was indeed an interesting experience for her.

Preparation for the Ball

Since Ayita's sense of 'fashion' wouldn't exactly be something that would be used in a high society ball, she resorted into trusting into the fashion sense of a good tailor. After asking around for a while and thanks to Cade's knowledge of the city, they were finally able to find a good tailor to order their clothes, after all, they simply couldn't hope to go undercover in Aklenroth's ball wearing something that would make them stand out like a sore thumb...

"Is it really good? I'm not really used in wearing formal clothes... They feel a bit... tight..." Ayita said, asking for the woman that worked on the store as she looked herself in the mirror, appreciating the beautiful dress. She couldn't help but feel that the woman she was looking at, the reflection in the mirror was from someone else, not Ayita. She would never use such formal dress normally. The mere feeling of having her movements restricted by the long dress would be uncomfortable for a free spirit like Ayita.

Despite the rather uncomfortable feeling of having her movements restricted by the clothes, it was undeniable that Ayita was really gorgeous in that dress. Even using the disguise spell Sakura had used on her, she was still beautiful. She gave a small smile as she looked at her reflection in the mirror, indicating with a nod to the girl that the dress was perfect.

"I can't wait to show this to Cade and Sakura!" Ayita said with a small giggle. It definitely wasn't something she would normally wear so it would certainly cause some surprised stares from both of them. Not only that but she was also curious about the clothes they would wear to the ball.

"Cade, I'm ready! Where are you?" Ayita said as she got out of the dressing room, looking for Cade. He had probably finished getting ready a while ago and should already be waiting for her.

Summary of the last two days

After the talk Artemis, Myra and Darius had two nights ago, Myra spent more time than usual watching Darius. Even though it was boring to simply watch him, she was still a bit worried about him and what was said by Artemis. He spent a lot of time training with a lot of different people. Most of the times, Darius was always incredibly tired and exhausted after the training. She still didn't understand very well what exactly was happening or why Darius, despite being a human, was helping Aklenroth to fight against them, but she wouldn't simply abandon her friend and run, even though deep inside, was what her mind was telling her to do. The fact that she didn't trust Aklenroth was a given though, as it became evident when Darius, Artemis and Myra herself had to go see him again. It was clear to not only Darius, but anyone who looked at her that she was incredibly agitated, reacting to every movement, no matter how small, was made by those present in the room.

Not all moments were filled with puzzling, grim or worrisome thoughts though. Zorrah was still the same kind woman she had met in her first days and always loved to prepare her some food, many times making her taste different things which were, sometimes tasty and sometimes not. Myra had also managed to sneak outside the room a few times to explore and run around the castle. She did lose herself a few times, but she was always able to find the way back thanks to her sense of smell and her tongue. Ironically enough, no matter how fearsome of a predator Myra is or how silent she was when prowling, sneaking or even running, she wasn't being exactly 'discreet' or careful when exploring. A few times, statues and other decorations through the castle halls and corridors would be found either broken or missing a hand or something small. Not only that, but the day she sneaked inside the beautiful garden that was shown to her a while ago (despite the fact that it was told her to not enter), even though she was sure to not dig or do anything to make her presence obvious, in the next day, the maids and those who cleaned the castle would find a trail of mud and suspicious footprints, leading straight to Darius' room. There wasn't any doubts on who those footprints belonged though.

Day of the Ball

On an Amora, heading towards Roshmi City

It did take a good while and a lot of work to make Myra wear her cute outfit and her mask, especially the mask since it felt strange in her face, but the result was surprising, even for Myra herself, making her stop and look herself on the mirror when everything was finished. After a few moments of admiring her new 'appearance' it was almost as if she had forgotten her entire aversion to clothes, looking to Darius and Artemis with a smile in her face, giving a small hop and looking at her clothes, then at them, almost as if showing to them how pretty she was. Darius was too, incredibly different. The first time Myra saw him after he was ready for the ball, she was a bit wary and had to sniff him to confirm it was really him, since he was incredibly different. His eyes, his clothes and even his ears were different, it was almost as if he turned into a completely different person. She didn't knew how Airdan, the dark elf who was helping Darius to get ready, did that, but it was indeed almost as if Darius was a different person... On appearance, that is.

Despite that, Darius was still a bit worried about his disguise, judging by what he was saying and the tone of his voice. Airdan was saying a few thing to tranquilize him, looking at her and then Artemis. When Darius himself turned to Myra, repeating a word the elf had said which Myra herself didn't understand and making a gesture, putting his two index fingers together, she looked at him, confused. Myra didn't know what 'koupl' was, but the gesture he made was almost if he wanted two things to be together. Did he meant them? But they were already together, since Myra was always near him, right?

Still a bit confused, Myra looked to Airdan then to Darius, turning her head with a puzzled expression, before opening her mouth for a bit and then closing it, almost if she was trying to say something. She hesitated a few times, as if she was repeating the word in her head, practicing it or considering if she could even try or just keep silent.

"Koou...pl?" Myra said after a while, turning her head with a puzzled expression. It was the first time she had said anything. Her voice was surprisingly beautiful, if not a bit... 'wild' and exotic. The noticeably... 'exotic' traits in her voice were probably due to her sharp teeth, tongue or even her physiology... Or maybe because she was only trying to repeat the sounds she heard and because she really didn't use her voice for anything else than hissing or growling.

Since she was already under the effect of the deterrent, Karina simply unsheathed her rapier, lunging forwards as she arrived downstairs, cutting down the cultists who stood in front of her with swift and elegant movements. It did take a while for her to realize that Týfurkh was under the sightless, about to be impaled by it's elongated, sharp fingers. Almost at the same time, she heard Ferris' voice as he talked to Lynx about his plan. Karina would have tried to help Lynx, but just like Ferris, she had her hands full with the cultists, having to bend her upper body backwards in an impressive display of flexibility as she dodged an attack from a cultist, which she had no idea even where it had came from.

Giving a jump backwards, Karina kicked a cultist that was rushing towards her, making it bump in another one and resulting in both of them falling in the ground. With a little moment to breathe, Karina looked towards Lynx, who had darted towards the sightless and Ferris, who followed just a moment after. Fortunately, Lynx had successfully given Týfurkh a moment to retreat, but in return, Lynx himself was caught by the sightless' tendrils. Even though Sil tried to help Lynx, the sightless was simply too strong to even bother with her presence, seeing her merely as an annoyance as he swiped at her, missing a few times but hitting her afterwards.

Using her small and agile frame to dodge the cultists, Karina rushed towards the sightless, just behind Ferris. She would use his larger body to obscure the sightless vision of her. Even though she knew it could see the future, it didn't hurt try. The moment Ferris got nearby the sightless, she would give a small jump to the side and lunge at it's back, hopefully hitting it. Týfurkh's attack on the sightless would also give her and Ferris enough room to attack. The Sightless were still an enigma to Karina. She didn't know exactly how strong they were or their true capabilities, but she did know that they weren't impervious to pain and that they definitely could be harmed, as it became evident after Lynx' attack and the fact that the sightless itself was trying to plug it's own wounds.
Ada

@Restalaan@ShwiggityShwah@Stern Algorithm

Ada was frantically looking for the map as she dodged the many zombies down the hole. Still, no matter how much she searched for it, she simply couldn't find it. After a moment, she heard a familiar voice calling for her name. A few meters ahead, she saw Ditzy, Neil, the one who called her and the Altissima sisters. Somehow, Ditzy was able to keep going forward despite the many zombies trying to grab him. Even though they were probably able to escape though, Ada couldn't go with them, at least not until she found the map. When Neil suddenly grabbed her hand though, saying they had found the map, Ada gave a smile to him as she followed them, using her tail and her claws to try and cut any zombie that tried to grab them.

With some effort and thanks to Ditzy's surprising strength, they were all able to escape the hole unharmed. With all the zombies being left behind, they were finally safe. As Neil celebrated, Ada looked at him and the rest of the group, smiling happily and celebrating together with him. She was happy that everyone was able to get out safely, but when Ozzy approached her, praising her for her job, she couldn't help but give a small jump, happy with his words.

Freyr

The beautiful sight before him was truly a blessing. From that location, Freyr had a perfect view of the city, being bathed by the last rays of daylight. Feeling the wind on his skin, he stood in silence, thinking about everything that happened and at the same time, nothing at all.

After a few moments, a sweet, melodic voice interrupted Freyr coming from a cloaked figure behind him. Freyr listened as she said she enjoyed such sights as well, before mentioning that Freyr himself wasn't there for the same reason. Freyr was surprised for a moment, seeing how despite his sharp senses, he didn't perceive her approaching him at all, but after a moment he relaxed again. It was clear that the woman, whoever she was, didn't mean any harm.

"Is it that obvious?" Freyr asked, with a tired, half smile on his face.

"I wasn't expecting to meet anyone up here." Freyr said, as he moved over to the side, giving the cloaked woman a spot to sit besides him, clearly indicating that, despite him not expecting to meet her, her presence wasn't unwanted.

"A sea of green leaves being bathed by the last rays of light. Such is the sights I was often able to see where I came from. Despite seeing it many times, it's beauty was undeniable... Just as it is right here, right now. No matter the place, this beauty never changes. It is... refreshing." Freyr said, without looking away from the scenery in front of him.

"I wish everything could be as simple as this. There is a reason why most of us, Vieras never leave the woods. The way we see the world, the way which we interact with each other is different. The world outside the woods is... complicated. Sometimes you are forced to make choices you might not want to. The line between 'right' and 'wrong' is blurred, almost nonexistent." Freyr finished.

"And you, what brings you here other than this beautiful sunset?" he finally asked after a few minutes in silence.

Kalla

Maeve was surprised when Sev, somehow was able to use magic inside Bardus' spell. Even though she had tried, she simply wasn't able to use her magic and the things Sev said, about 'aetheric resonance' made literally no sense at all for her. Despite the strong winds the Sylph was conjuring, Bardus was still able to move as he continued going towards Sahale. Bardus not only was a dangerous enemy, but his bloodthirst was almost palpable in the air as he screamed towards Sahale. Luckily to them, the fire Sev had somehow conjured fused with the Sylph's winds as the wind spirit sent it towards Bardus, which was caught off guard by the storm of wind and fire. For a moment, Maeve thought they would be able to escape unscathed, but the second Bardus once more shouted, resuming his mad dash towards them once more. It was almost as if he wasn't human at all... He was definitely wounded but even with the winds cutting him and the fire, he simply didn't stop. Bardus had an almost unnatural agility, resilience and strength that, when coupled with his skill to block magic, made him an formidable opponent.

With most of the Sylph and Sahale's attacks failing to stop the mad Bardus despite the wounds inflicted, he was finally able to get close to Sahale... One second was all he needed to inflict a fatal blow on Sahale with his 'weapon', leaving him coughing blood on the ground after being thrown and smashed into the ground by Bardus himself.

"Sahale!" Maeve said, alarmed as she saw the scene. She knew very well that such wound was fatal. Maybe he could have a chance if they had a master healer, but Maeve's healing skills, despite being an Isoli and being naturally proficient at it, was far from the skills a master healer had.

When Maeve was about to take a lunge at Bardus, gathering the remaining energy in her body, an incredibly loud screech cut through the air, immediately making her give a step back and cover her ears. She was a duelist and had very sharp eyes, but it was impossible, even for her to see the Sylph's attack. Moving itself so fast that she was but a blur, the wind spirit dove towards Bardus, attacking him in a ruthless and gruesome manner. Not even Bardus, being the monster he was, was able to stop the Sylph in her fury. The only thing that made her stop was Sahale's low and pained groans, which made her fury immediately disappear as she went towards him. Using the Sylph's attack to her advantage, Maeve was about to rush towards Bardus, to give him a finishing blow before he could recover but she coulnd't expect that a hand would suddenly pick up bardus from the ground as a figure appeared behind him.

Maeve heard the exchange between the figure, apparently named Jeevak and Bardus, who was his servant judging by the way they spoke with each other. Still on guard, Maeve could only hope that the new arrival wasn't there to kill them, which luckily, he wasn't as became evident when he punished Bardus for disobeying his orders. It wasn't needed much for anyone there to know that he was somehow, much more powerful than Bardus himself. Fighting against him wasn't an option, not with all of them tired and wounded like they were. After apologizing and healing Sahale, despite his fatal wounds, he said his goal wasn't to kill or harm them, instead he simply wanted to talk to two grusk that were on that town. Maeve had seen one, who was wounded inside the temple but she had no idea who was the other one Jeevak spoke of.

"The only grusk I've seen is the one inside the temple. He was very wounded but he's stable after we treated him." Maeve said, sheathing her rapier as she looked at Jeevak with a piercing stare.

Myra didn't understand what was happening and why both Artemis and Darius had a strange expression on their faces. Darius said everything was fine but apparently, it wasn't? As Artemis started talking to him, it became evident even to the innocent Myra that it really wasn't everything ok. She was a bit confused about it. If the crystal that Aklenroth gave him was the problem that meant that they shouldn't have trusted him to begin with, just like Myra tried to tell both Darius and Skar.

Artemis was saying a lot of things, but Myra knew, both by her tone of voice and looking at her that she wasn't lying or that she was a bad person. For some reason, she seemed to be genuinely worried about Darius despite meeting him just recently. Even though Myra didn't understand most of the things she was saying, she did understand at least part of her message... Aklenroth wasn't someone they should trust... Something that Myra herself agreed with.

When she was about to get up and approach both Darius and Artemis though when they had finished talking, Artemis approached her to see the bed that Myra had wanted to show her earlier. Forgetting about the talk for a bit, Myra looked at her with a big smile on her face, glad that Artemis did like the bed. When she asked Darius about the bathtub though, Myra remembered that Artemis was a mermaid and needed water. Soon after, Darius said he was going out for a bit, probably he needed some time to think about all that. Myra looked at Darius with a worried expression as he said that, turning her head almost as if silently asking if he was ok, but she did understand he needed some time.

Without anything better to do and with a lot of things on her head to think about, Myra simply got back to the bed again, laying down to sleep a little and relax. When Darius came back she would try to calm him down and see if he was ok.

Whether by sheer luck or due to the guards' incompetence, the group somehow was able to get out of the town without many issues. Once out of town, Mikhail stopped using his sight shield and walking as a shadow to be together with the group. Despite everything that had happened, other than a few bruises, everyone was perfectly fine. Unfortunately, the black jeweled and the queen probably knew of their presence... What they would do with that information though, was something they would only find out later...

"SaDiablo... Laska and Dorothea..." Mikhail muttered, repeating the name of the black jeweled man they met on the city and the queen he was apparently bound to and listened with a serious expression as Jandar said that Dorothea could have a hand on that. Even though Mikhail had his own areas of expertise, he wasn't well versed at all in politics, something Jandar and the others seemed to be.

"I may not know much about politics, but I know enough to say that SaDiablo isn't someone we can trust blindly... If Dorothea really has a hand in all this, then Laska and by extension, SaDiablo are as much of a threat to us as she is." Mikhail said with a serious tone.

"That said... I can see your point, Jandar... There are still a lot of uncertainties in all this. If SaDiablo was really being honest, then he can be a powerful ally... But he is still bound to Laska. We also aren't sure if Laska is different from Dorothea or not..." Mikhail finished, as he approached the fire, looking at it intensely almost as if he was searching for answers in the burning embers.

"..."

"You are far too good, innocent and sweet of a person, Fatima." Mikhail said in a low tone after a few minutes of silence, still standing near the fire and Fatima.

"This is, by no means a bad thing but... be careful. People can and will use this against you if you're not careful." Mikhail finished, as he resumed looking to the fire. He knew he had treated Fatima a bit harshly a few times before on tense situations and was feeling a bit guilty about it... Despite his awkward manner to try and show that to her.

Mikhail confirmed he was ready to keep following the group from the shadows on high alert. Their presence would soon be known by the queen, if it wasn't known yet. Any different sight sent towards the group, any suspicious movement or even a slight mention of someone being following them, Mikhail would notice. He would have absolutely no qualms about eliminating any possible threat or obstacle with a quick movement of his wrists and his wires. Despite the fact that the group had waited until the evening to get out, it became evident that news spread quite fast on the town as two guards entered the small shop to ask the guard about them. Thanks to the bookkeeper's silence and cooperation, they didn't need to fight them, even though Mikhail was ready to kill both of them. It became quite clear that the guards would only get even more alert as the time passed and if they were to wait until night, it could be too late to try to escape unnoticed. Their presence was already known and the net was starting to close around them. Just as the bookkeeper said, their best bet to escape would be right now.

As the bookkeeper spoke to Jandar and himself, Mikhail simply nodded, leaving the speaking to Jandar. The man had already helped them enough and for some reason, he seemed to be friendly to them. The moment Jandar mentioned about telling the strange black jeweled man, whom apparently was called SaDiablo exactly where they were hiding, Mikhail couldn't help but look at Jandar with a piercing stare. He still didn't trusted SaDiablo. It was as likely he would go to talk to them as it was for him to tell his queen about it and prepare an ambush.

"You trust people too easily..." Mikhail said to Jandar after the bookkeeper walked away and the group prepared themselves to leave, himself doing the same after hearing Jandar.
