NAME: Katherine Abigail, nicknamed The Fire Princess
AGE: 18
GRADE: St Laurels High School, 3rd year
BIOGRAPHY: Similar to her sister, Katherine was alone most of the time during her childhood without their parent's guidance. This is what made her the free spirited and full of energy girl she is today. One trait she shares with her sister Christine, is the fact that she too is airheaded on occasioms. She loves to tease others with all kinds of things, and her favourite past time is messing with her sister whenever she can.
Unlike her sister who had always been training her abilities, Katherine focused more on training his body. From a young age Katherine was often in fights, and she started attending boxing classes when she was 12. For 6 years now, she's been doing kick box, and she is a prominent figure in teen boxing circles. She has the dream of becoming a professional boxer someday.
She would often train along with her sister to test their powers too. Thought Christine never wore any pants, Katherine had a more serious issue with her ability. Anytime she powered up, her clothes would get burned or completely destroyed due to the intense heat. It is fair to say, that this isn't the most advantegous of side effects, so Katherine usually brings extra clothing to school in case something happens.
Katherine is usually reluctant to battle and despite her tomboyish nature, which can be attributed to the embarassing side effect of her powers and the fact that she's not too keen on hurting anyone for real. However, as she powers up, she gets more and more into the battle, which is why a lot of people are afraid to challenge her. When angry or agitated, she can sometimes lose her temper and act in ways that are absolutely random, ranging from spontaneous burts of anger and cruelty to emotional outbursts and paranoia.
CORE POWER: INFERNOKatherine's core power comes from the blessing of the Goddes of Inferno. Katherine's body temperature hangs at around 40-45 Celsius usually, but during a battle she gradually heats up to extreme temperatures. Triggering at the crispy temperatures of 120 degrees, this heat ramps up to around 500 degrees Celsius during a battle. With more heat, Katherine receives more strength and agility, with the peak of her basic form making her run and punch roughly 2 times better than usual. The heat is fueled by her emotions to a degree, which means that angering her will result in more heat output. At the same time, she loses more and more control of her actions as she generates more heat. Once her ability kicks in, she will constantly regenerate heat until she reaches the limit of her form. During this process, Katherine's body begins to emit high levels of heat and light, rendering most of her body features hard to make out. She becomes more malleable and less suspective to blunt force trauma, but it also makes her way more suspectible to elemental attacks of opposite nature (Cold, Water, Wind). Katherine's powers are always scaled back when she uses them against other humans, which is probably something to do with ther psichology and not her powers.
She cannot indefinetly keep this form, and after 15-20 minutes she will pass out as if she was in Nova form.
PPOWER ABILITIES:-Burning Aura: In a burst of heat, Katherine can expend most of her core temperature to do an AoE attack around her which inflicts serious burns on others. The attack is non lethal in standard enviroment, and even up close it won't kill anyone, but it can inflict third degree burns. After this attack she will be slower and weaker until she recovers her heat again.
-Searing Beam: Katherine can channel her heat energy into a concentrated beam, superheating that air and sending a funnel of ionised plasma at her foe. The power draws from her core temperature every second, and it has a fairly limited range of 10 meters before the plasma disspiates.
-Demonform: Switching into a higher gear, Katherine can go far beyond here usual heat limit of 500-600 Celsius and go up to around 1500 degrees. Her yellowish glow significantly intensifies by several factors and turn blue. At this temperature she can melt steel beams, and her speed and strength are improved tenfold, but the ability is a ticking timebomb which quickly makes her fall unconscious if she can't beat her foe right away. This form also increases the effect of all her other abilities.
RELATIONSHIPS:-Christine Abigail: Her airheaded twin sister and favourite target for teasing when out of school. Since they have been together for most of the time through their childhood, they have forged a strong bond and Katherine ultimately wants to protect her sister. If the day comes that the two need to fight, she'll give it her best shot to give a beating to her sister, but she might be more reluctant to her friends beat on her...
-Samoth Moskono: The only match for Kath at her school, she holds samoth in a high place for his powers. That said, the often incredibly obnoxious guy is a pain in the backside if you ask Kath. Hatred is not the right word, and Samoth gets a tatse of Kath's foolery just like everyone else, but he isn't going to be her best friend.
-Liselotte: What an interesting girl! Kath was never more interested to find out more about a shy person than when she first met Lise. However, she quickly became a focus of her mischief in another way: namely bearing the crush of Andreim upon her. Lise is a trump card for Kath in her petty tease war against Andreim.
-Cassius: FIREBUDDY! Ever since the summer break when Kath asked Cass to train with her, the poor boy has been pretty much constantly stalked or messed with by Kath. You can hardly see the two apart from each other, whether that be by the free will of Cass, or the forceful and unrelenting nature of Kath. But mostly the last.
-Cyan Bridget: The shy boy with the coin in hand, Kath never really got to talk to Cyan. It simply was never her intent, and the two had only talked a few times. Cyan seems like a nice boy, and his fluffy tail nearly mesmorises Kath, but his personality seems lacluster for Kath's taste.
-Andreim Volkazar: An arch nemesis to Kath, the two wage a petty war of teasing each other. Though he is a powerful ability user, and someone who Kath respects for their power, she'd rather die than to say any good words to the guy. Not because she hates him, not by a longshot. It's simply because this is war, and she cannot let her guard down!
