On the dawn of a new day, a cold morning breeze snuck its way into a familiar cabin, it’s freezing touch filling the lungs of Snow. Shallow breaths, troubled gaps for air, her entire body shaking yet frozen, but not from the cold. She couldn’t look away from it, yet her brain barely believed what laid next to her.

In a terrified impulse, she struggled to get away from the body, only for the body to pull her back in with the cord as she fell towards it. From the fear of the impact of the fall, she closed her eyes, and opening them again seemed an impossible task. For a few seconds she laid there next to a corpse, and upon finally opening her eyes, the two girls’ gazes deadlocked, though one set couldn’t react.

Once more pulling herself up, she shifted her attention to her wrist, where the handcuff was still strongly attached. No matter how much she pushed or pulled, it wouldn’t bend, not even wounding her lip as she desperately tried to bite it off could set her free from this nightmare.

All she could do was put as much distance between her and the corpse as she could, so slowly but steadily, she shuffled away from Naomi, until her back hit a wall. There she sat, arms around her legs, blood dripping down the corner of her mouth, and her eyes peering at the remains of someone she barely knew. The serious headache she felt ever since she woke up didn’t even strike her as odd as her mind began drifting off in a defensive mechanism, until her eyes turned foggy and she completely disconnected herself from reality, never facing away from Naomi.

Laying on her bed, feet in the air, yawn across her face, and head buried in her laptop, Ava was casually browsing the web. Whether fashionable or just outright expensive, she spend many afternoons looking up the latest fashion, even though none of it ever reached her wardrobe; what else was there to do while you wait for dinner to finish up?

Speaking of dinner, when Ava heard the sound of plates hitting the counter, she closed her laptop and nimble hopped out of bed. For a while now, she had been taking full advantage of Alex’s home cooking. The boy may have zero tact with words, but you couldn’t deny the quality of his dishes. Though entering the kitchen, Ava suddenly struggled to keep her balance; it was quite unusual to get dizzy so suddenly, but not wanting to think about it, she shrugged it off as getting up too fast.

After regaining some clarity, Ava surveyed the room for a trace of her gowl roommate, but before she could notice something wrong, her eyes met with the food on display. She could curiously smell it very clearly and it drew her in with the enticing smell, a mellow and calming aroma to relax your muscles. With each step closer, her body got more numb, and before she knew it, Ava had closed her eyes, only hearing a distant thud as she fell into a slumber.

With a sudden gasp of air, her eyes flicked wide open, the scent of fish and chips still lingering. She stood on the cold pavement of a metro station, her only companion being a lonesome flickering lamp post. As she grew more aware of her surroundings, her anxiety rose with it. Where was she? Where was this anyway? She slowly spun around her axis, peering into the foggy void that loomed in the distance, but it only affirmed her discomfort.

“Hello?” Her voice was trembling slightly, and after a few seconds of silence, the only answer was her own echo. “Okay then.” She folded her arms in preparation to boot her brain. First things first, she brought her arm to her chest, ready to pinch it. She’d never had a lucid dream before so she didn't know whether it would work but-

“Ouch.” It didn’t seem to do anything and she didn’t have time to think about other possibilities, as Ava took a surprised step back in response to a train approaching. She should be happy to see civilization, but this train felt so wrong, the announcement even felt out of place. She felt hesitant to enter, but as creepy as the train and the voice from within were, it was honestly better than the alternative.

Upon entering, her first reaction was to the other two familiar faces who simultaneously entered through different doors. being around people she knew always made her more comfortable, so as soon as she spotted them, her demeanor became a bit more relaxed; or it would’ve been if the hideous troll didn’t start talking.

looking at his ugly face send shivers down her spine, and the sheer contrast between it and the attendant didn’t help at all. She didn’t want to be mean to him though, as he seemed to be in charge here. As Alexander started talking, Ava walked towards a window hoping to see where they were going, but upon looking outside, her head immediately started spinning. The train tracks were going in all the wrong directions and Ava really didn’t want to look any longer as she returned to her seat.

Alex seemed to be in a good mood though, in fact, this Alexander seemed like a completely different person; he talked funny, smiled plenty, wasn’t afraid to be outlandish, and had total confidence...he might be the scariest thing here.

“Can you be a little more on edge? This train is too creepy…” She uncomfortably remarked as she looked at igor. “Sir-uhh, Igor? Please tell us what’s going on.”

As Ava had grown to expect of her Merja, she was quick to offer half her livelihood for absolutely free. Ava had rarely if ever met such a nice person in her life so if it wasn’t for Ava’s rumbling stomach, she might have felt severely guilty about stealing that lunch. As she took the food and carelessly stuffed it in into her satchel, she felt like the least she could do was give a heartfelt thanks, but as she moved in for a hug, she found herself being tugged along like a puppy on a leash; quite exciting really.

Arriving at their destination after ten long seconds, Ava positioned herself behind her tall friend, pretending to be the shy little sister that she never had. As she extended her head from behind Merja, she surveyed the area of interest, which seemed to be a tree. Beneath the tree sat a bookworm who looked to be chatting it up with a pretty lass, but after debating the matter shortly, she decided that Merja was not dumb enough to be so shocked by a man talking to a woman, so she looked up.

Taking a bite from the apple she had just received, Ava sheepishly peered at the Asian boy who was having a jolly time in his jungle kingdom. And as it seems, the shock factor did originate from the boy as it didn't take long for Merja to ask for guidance, which Ava promptly answered, by not saying anything at all, or rather, someone answered for her.

Alex, as usual, was being as rude as ever, and it was no surprise that the boy in the tree would reciprocate. To be honest, Ava was surprised at the odd response that Hakuro gave, but as she let it sink in, the reply was actually fairly normal compared the corny cosplay and the fact that he was still in the tree. Try as she might, Ava couldn’t suppress the smirk for very long as she burst out laughing at Hakuro’s remark. It wasn’t even that funny, but this whole situation was just too stupid to take serious.

“That’s what you get for being rude to strangers,” She playfully winked at Alex as she walked towards the tree, waving up to get Hakuro’s attention. “Don’t mind Alex, he’s always like that; but more importantly, show me how to get up there too!” she positively grinned with excitement.

“No news today...everything looks normal.”

“Thanks Miss Tomo.”

White walls adorned with various medical tools bounced around the sound of light footsteps as the nurse took her leave. Through the single window in the room shone a bright ray of sunshine as the sun began to rise, lighting up the only two figures in the room. As Ava sat down next to the bed and looked at the peaceful slumber her father was in, she wondered if he was enjoying a nice dream. It was completely silent, with the exception of a heart rate monitor that never stopped beeping. Although it was a continuous loop of the same sound over and over again, Ava always loved to sit and listen to it in silence; it was the only way her father could communicate after all.

Today was a day like any other, Ava would visit in the morning, get the same old update from the nurse, and water the flowers in the windowsill. It had become such a habit, that she often went about it on autopilot, though never without a smile.

“I made my first scrambled eggs yesterday.” She chirped. “I didn’t want to make them till now cuz I knew they’d never be as good as yours, but guess what! They weren’t.” Leaning back on her stool, she chuckled to herself. “Once you wake up, you’re gonna have to teach me...Owh! by the by, my studies are going great. I got an A on a test last week, and I didnt even study for it! Guess I really am amazing huh?” After laughing out loud at her own terrible joke, the sounds quickly escaped the room to leave only the beeps once more.

“Well-” Ava pushed her stool backwards and got up in a swift motion. “School starts in a bit, I gotta haul my ass over there.” Putting on her coat, Ava started walking to the exit, only stopping in the doorway to turn her torso around.

“See ya tomorrow.” She smiled and continued on her way.

on the way to school, Ava rolled down the street on her skateboard, occasionally evading the unwary pedestrian. When she started living in the dorms at her school, it became painfully obvious that walking everywhere would take too long, so a better mode of transportation was necessary. Although a bicycle worked well enough, it lacked the fun factor that a skateboard offers, so ever since then, she's been boarding her way around London.

“Ey! Jean! Get yo ass over here and play with us!” Slightly surprised by the comment, Ava looked to the side to see a group of thug-looking boys on a street basketball court. The one talking was holding a basketball, while the rest were acting tough like they do.

“Sorry boys! I have to get to school or my grades will get to your level!” She joked, pushing herself forward on the board. “Ha! One day I’ll show ya how to get on my level!” The boy shouted after her, causing Ava to smile even brighter.

Further down the road, a bustling crossroads presented itself to Ava. Normally she’d simply hurry through the madness but today she spotted an old man. He was clearly very short, stuck in the crowd, and had no idea where he was. Lucky for him, Ava was not about to let the elder be mistreated, so she puffed herself up to enter the masses.

“Make way! Make way!” She shouted as she slithered through the crowd until she reached the elder. “hi, where do you need to go?” She asked him.
“Owh, I would cross the south road, but my sense of direction is not what it used to be.”
“Lucky you, cuz that’s where I’m headed too.” Ava winked before extending her hand to the man. “Let’s go together.” With a small nod, the man took hold of her hand and Ava led the way through the crowd safely.

“Ah thank you girl, you have my gratitude.” The man stiffly bowed to Ava.
“No problem!” Ava responded as she hopped back onto her skateboard, and took off for St Paul.

Upon reaching the gates of her school, Ava stepped off her skateboard and popped it into her hand. Looking up at the gates and to the school beyond, she couldn’t help but sigh. For all the fun it offered, it equally drained her of energy, so after staring for a few seconds more, she turned around and went towards a different school; Evergreen.

Upon entering the school grounds, Ava quickly noticed someone she recognised. It was Merja, her lunch buddy, standing next to the courtyard entrance.
“Merja, Hey!” She cheered as she skipped over to the tall girl. “So…” She leaned in, her head facing up with a gleeful smile. “I forgot to make food, and I was hoping you’d have some extra.”

If you decide that there is room for one more, I would love to be part of it :>
Himura Chikako & Hibiki Matsuo

Himura glared at Monokuma, a scowl on her face. If she had it her way, she’d go up there and kick that bear’s ass for the stupid shit he was putting her through. She wasn’t dumb, though; she knew she was lucky to have lived the first time.

She looked over at her unwanted partner for this motive. Honestly, she didn’t have much of an impression on Hibiki. So, who knows, maybe he was one of those people who are secretly super fun? He seemed like he wasn’t very talkative, though, but if nothing else, Himura knew that meant he was easy to lead.

She smiled—some motive this was! Monokuma had failed to stop her from finding a way out, so she knew it was only a matter of time.

She snapped her cuff onto her arm, showing the other one to Hibiki, “Ready to go, partner?”

In response, a yawning Hibiki slowly looked at his wrist, twisting it around a couple times before slowly turning his eyes to the handcuff. The metal surface didn’t look very comfortable but he wasn’t feeling particularly defiant; so after releasing a deep sigh he put on a tiresome smile to look at Himura, and extended his hand to grab the handcuff on display.

“Sure…”

Himura smiled in an attempt to look welcoming, “Good good! Y’know, I think we’ll end up working together just fine! I mean,” She turned her attention over to some of the other pairs, most notably Naomi and Snow, who were already screaming at one another, “We’re certainly not those bitches,” She finished with a laugh.

“Don’t be so mean.” Hibiki cringed at Himura’s rough choice of words. “I am sure they’re having a really tough time right now-” He calmly stated as the handcuff wrapped around his wrist with a click. “We can’t all be as positive and fearless as you...Chikako.” As the warm smile on Hibiki’s face permeated through his sloggy posture, it created an odd sense of comfort.

“I was hoping to investigate the assortment of books that are on display in my personal lab.” He yawned again. “...Do you mind coming along?” He jokingly stated as he raised his cuffed arm.

Himura frowned, displeased with both Hibiki’s defense and his suggestion of leaving, “Don’t you think it’d be better to hang around here so we can, y’know, figure out the game plan or whatever Flare was going on about? I think that’d be better,” She stated matter-of-factly, “Plus, what do you think you’re gonna find in there? A dictionary? That’s not exactly gonna help us out right now.”

Hibiki looked at the continuing argument between Snow and Naomi, darting between the two before returning to Himura.

“I don’t like...crowds very much, especially noisy ones.” He nonchalantly scratched the back of his head, hoping to keep things low-key. “If you want to stay that’s okay, we can separate these things...for a bit.” As he raised his arm he smiled at Himura again. ”Brainstorming isn’t my strong suit anyway.”

Himura’s frown deepened, her expression cross, “Fine then,” She unhooked her part of the cuff, hopping the slap the chain against Hibiki, only to watch it harmless retract into his own cuff, “I’ll be doing something useful while you’re off doing whatever dumb bullshit you’re up to. Come get me when you don’t feel like dying, lameass,” She turned around, storming away from Hibiki with an over-exaggerated stomp.

Hibiki let out a defeated sigh, turning around and slumping to his lab.

“I was hoping you’d come find me.”

Another day, another pathetic announcement. It was such a drag to be woken up by that stupidly annoying bear. But even more annoying was the fact that she didn’t wake up in her own bed. While the terror of being kidnapped was slowly becoming obsolete due to their captors being intent on making their life here as comfortably uncomfortable as possible, Snow still wanted to get out of this place as soon as possible.

Preparing herself in the bathroom, she sat down in front of the mirror with a comb in hand. Half because she wanted to, and half to stall, she took her time to craft an elaborate and elegantly braided ponytail before leaving her cabin.

Meanwhile, Flare was already out on a stroll when the morning-announcement played, so she was one of the, if not the first there. Seeing everyone trickle in in their own way was sort of relaxing, and it made time fly fairly quick. For some reason, she held her left hand close to her chest, someone with a keen eye might have noticed a small cut on the palm of it.

Once everyone arrived at the amphitheatre and heard the actual announcement, Snow couldn’t respond with anything but a deep disapproving frown.

She rolled her eyes at Naomi’s questions before answering. “Isn’t it obvious? The handcuffs fall of when your precious heart stops beating.” She sneeringly said, gesturing to cut of her head with her hand.

“But am I gonna put those handcuffs on? Yeah, I don’t think so.” From her arrogant tone, one might think that she is parading, but she is in fact, just very annoyed. “Nobody actually expects me to tie myself up with one of these barbarians willingly, do you? That’s...dumb...” She crossed her arms defensively, as she hoped that she actually had a choice. Being handcuffed to literally anyone here would be actual torture. Not only does she value her privacy, but the fact that they are always around her means that she is forced to get closer to them; literally. And that thought scares her.

“If we do all get handcuffed, I’d like everyone to stay here after the bear leaves. I want to make sure that we all understand each other in order to... minimize risks.” Flare said with an authoritative voice. She didn’t expect everyone to listen, but if at least half stayed, then they could come up with a way to deal with the troublemakers.

“right…” Snow scoffed at Flare, before facing the bear and sharply pointing at it. “And one more thing? You’re voice actually sounds worse than a witch screaming of the top of her lungs while scratching her ugly nails on a chalkboard, like; ugh, go mute…”
