-Bump In The Night-

”Huh? How do you-” Penny started with an angry visage as she stared at Makoto, about to ask her questions when she also noticed the monsters. She then pointed at her.
”Look, don't think I'll ignore you because I like it, but these dogs have to go first. I don't need a spotter. But the instant I see you try anything funny, I'll throw you off the deck.” With her intentions fully made, she turned towards the east side of the ship, gave one last glare, and then took hold of the railing with both hands. She opened her mouth, and an electric charge began arcing across her body as she gathered up energy for a Gauss discharge, a faint light beginning to glow brighter and brighter from her throat. As she did so, she seemed to grumble something, but it came off as incomprehensible.

The Gorelions proved to be more than simple minions in combat capability, possessing high strength in their bulging limbs, cheetah-like agility as they swiftly closed the distance to Earth Bastion, as well as frighteningly high intelligence; they clearly understood group tactics, as they came in two groups of four from the sides, and a pair coming from the north. They also actively dodged while running, and used maneuvers like feints and running in zigzags to throw off the aim of long-range combatants. Even for magical monsters, such cleverness seemed absurd for these roaring, feline predators, with the only logical explanation being that they were somehow directly controlled by a higher power.

Alicia's attack proved successful despite these shortcoming, as she showered the beasts with a rain of arrows from her magic circle; the battlefield was littered with faintly shimmering needles in the darkness around the ship, as if the Beacon girl was planting phosphorous grass all over. She was joined by Scout, who up till now had quietly marveled at the strange world they arrived in. With the combined firepower of the former's Star Seraph and the latter's Soprono's Cipher further enhanced by her Focused Assault, the two were able to take down a Gorelion, causing it to skid and roll, bouncing a single time on the checkerboard field before finally stopping moving.
"Ugh! These things are tough as nails!" She exclaimed, panting from how much power she depleted in charging her bullets, and quickly swept her arm, scattering several illusory images of herself in the hopes of distracting the monsters. To her dismay, it seemed to fail, and the Gorelions simply rushed past them.
"They're smart too! This is bad!"

On the east side, one of the Gorelions would soon reach the ship. Suwako's attempt to trip the running monster turned out to be the right call, even if the monster attempted evading the attack; it jumped the arrow, but the vine reached up and wrapped around the monster's leg, pulling it down and causing the earth to rumble as the incredible mass impacted against the ground. As a result, the monster staggered, and stopped running. The Beacon girl also received assistance, this time from Anaya, as silent as always. She summoned her army of possessed dolls, and they formed a defensive wall to deter the advance of the beasts. Unlike Scout, she succeeded in her move, and another Gorelion was caught as it attempted to barrel right through them and slowed down. However, the dolls broke down from the impact, their pieces floating in the air.
"These are beyond anything I have faced in my travels," she commented with a low voice, and brought her pistols to bear, and began shooting at another one, the bullets not causing much damage.
"As if they also possess souls in them."

And at the center of it all, standing with her eyes closed to the horror, was Mariette. When she relocated the pool of blood that formed from the purple crystal, and sent it far into the distance, it instantly caused a strange effect; the Gorelions' heads twitched, and they roared loudly, as if driven mad. Now in a berserk state, they lost all modicum of intelligence, and ran straight forward with all their might, blinded by rage and hunger; one even slammed into another as it competed for food.

Justine bared her fangs, and threw the small crystal she crushed in her hand at a wall, causing sparkles in the air. She watched as the shards embedded in her palm were swiftly ejected out. The gashes also sewed themselves shut, restoring her skin to perfection once more, as it has always been.
"You might have scored a victory with that move, Mariette..." She spoke in a cold tone, and simply stared at the moon now that she could no longer see through her control crystal.
"But I still have one ace in the hole...No, a Joker. You're soon nothing but a doll in her hands..."

Olesya stepped through the portal, and arrived at the deck of the ship just in time to see the carnage that ensued from the Gorelions turning feral, including a particularly impressive sonic boom that caused a northern Gorelion to fall on its side. The one who performed this blow, Shade, did not have much time to celebrate, as the beast was not slain; even when it was prone, the monster roared with hungry intent, and shot out a red, three-pronged tongue from the abyss of its face. It pierced through the skin of her leg at the thigh and wrapped around it with the smaller tentacles. With terrifying speed, it began retracting back; like a hooked trout reeled back by a fishing pole, she was dragged closer and closer to to the monster's gaping orifice. Also, while this was happening, Shade felt how her blood was being drained through the sharp tip of the tongue, like a mosquito's proboscis, at an alarming rate; soon she would lose too much blood to be able to cast magic.

"Whoah! That's a strong punch" Helga exclaimed, and cheered for Shade, only to shriek as she was harpooned by the monster. "Mariette, portal!" She shouted, and the moment one opened one before her she began swiping her claws at the beast; as the portal was planted on the immobile beast and was unable to destroy it, Helga had free reins to strike and claw multiple times at the monster's armor-like hide. But even after taking such rending blows, the monster still kept reeling Shade in, writhing from the blows. "Let her go, you bitch!" She screamed, her expression quickly turning one of pure rage. The other Gorelion coming from the north ended up tripping due to slamming it's shoulder and head down on the ground; one of it's legs attempted to lift the beast, but ended up scraping at empty air due to a portal, and the beast was stunned as a result.

Penny finally released his railgun shot, and it pierced through a jumping Gorelion at the west, causing it to fall over as it was knocked back, unmoving. The robotic girl doubled down over the railing as a result, having put a lot of charge into the move; she had not managed to collect much electricity since her hard work on the ship, and so ended up being unprepared for the trip. It was at that moment of weakness that she was also targeted by a Gorelion tongue that shot out like a slimy spear, this time on her chest where her armor was thinnest. It did not pierce her thanks to Alexander's barrier that broke, but the three-pronged end nonetheless wrapped around her waist with the smaller tendrils, binding her arms, and pulled her off the railing.
”Ahh crap!” She screamed, flipping midair as she was reeled fast towards the Gorelion. However, just before she reached the beast, she managed to anchor her feet to the ground, and grappled the tentacle-like appendage with her own, four sprouting from the back to fight back at the tongue as her teeth were grit. ”Off of me, pervert!” The fourth Gorelion from the west ran right at Earth Bastion and tackled it, causing it to sway from the collision, like a ship in a storm. Fortunately, it did not incur any damage whatsoever, no small thanks to Alexander's wards.

On the east side, two Gorelions were halted, but two advanced; one stayed back and shot a tongue harpoon at Earth Bastion, bouncing ineffectually as it ran beside the ship. The other jumped on the deck of the ship, and roared. It saw Mariette standing there, and reared up, about to slam its paws on her. However, it suddenly stopped, and a strange, guttural growl came from the abomination, its head leaning down, seeming confused if not outright afraid. It turned out that Libby Bibby was right there, sleeping on the deck with a popped collar. She woke up, and an angry scowl flashed on her face before it turned into blinking, and then a gasp at seeing the Gorelion. "Mumbo jumbo!" She screamed, staring straight at the monster; in that moment, her expression wasn't so much fright as it was a blank stare. In response, the Gorelion roared, and reared up once more, clearly intending to slam down on Libby Bibby, and the Magical Girl braced for impact with her arms, her legs together. "Eeep!"

Mary was still in shock as she ran, hyperventilating, and in her haste she tripped on the stairs. Fortunately she only dropped a few steps before hitting her shoulder against a wall on the turn of the stairs, wincing in pain as she braced herself against the wall, sliding to one knee. She held her shoulder, and tried to feel if she broke a bone.
"Oh god, she's gonna kill me!" She whimpered, and looked behind her, expecting an angry sword-wielding killer robot. To her surprise, Julia was no longer chasing her. She heard the awful noise of bullets, grinding metal, and fighting upstairs, and she held herself, trying to somehow calm down.
"Did they...Stop her? Oh no, they're not-!"
She wobbled up the stairs, and peeked out from the stairway towards the second floor of the Resort. She wanted to see if the other Carnage Sisters were still hanging out there, as she did hear the sound of a roaring minigun, hoping she wasn't found; the last thing she wanted to do was have the stereotypical role of the flashy woman dying that pervaded every single slasher movie.

-Land of Magic-

”The ship didn't sustain any damage at all,” Penny announced as she clambered out of Earth Bastion's interior, and dusted off her hands while smiling. She wasn't sure if the ship had the structural integrity to survive a crash landing, but was glad to know that wasn't the case. She was about to ask the others how they were doing when she was left speechless as she saw the world of magic that unfolded before her eyes.
”Whoah...Looks ominous.” She then turned to take a look around the ship, and noticed Makoto on the deck.
”Hey, you're the girl who made the fancy jump! What do you want?” She asked, and took a battle-ready stance, her fists clenched.

Libby Bibby played golf with her hammer a fair bit distance from the ship, and launched a ball far into the distance, seemingly ignoring the looks she got from the others. Still, even with her careless attitude, it seemed she was not entirely oblivious, as she bounced right toward Silhouette's direction. Despite the assassin's exceptional ability for stealth, it became clear to Silhouette that Libby was able to detect her, as she gave the lurking girl in the darkness a quick giggle and wink before skipping her way back to the ship. When their gazes met, only the Dark Magical Girl hidden in the shadows could see that for the briefest moment, as if she simply imagined it, the pupils of her eyes turned to vertical slits. She twirled her way to Eli and Alicia, and clasped her hands behind her back as she leaned over to look at Eli. She giggled while looking at the slime harpy with glee.
"Snap trap? That slaps my lap like a clap flap! You're funny! Libby Bibby likes Ellie!" She suddenly yawned, opening her mouth wide.
"I'll have a nap!" And just like that, she dropped to the deck's floor in a cartoony fashion, and began snoring loudly with her eyes closed, making a snot bubble.

Helga shook her head at Libby's ridiculous behavior, and sighed as she glanced at Eli and Mariette.
"Well, about that..." She rested her clawed hands on one of the ship's railings; she had a pained expression plastered on her face.
"Justine didn't speak much of it, but there was a reason she kidnapped Magical Girls; she wanted their blood to use in a ritual that makes the world, uh, 'pure'. I never understood what it meant, but I guess it would involve her summoning my former Patron...Father. We can't let that happen." She nodded at Suwako's words, and gripped the railing as Earth Bastion began moving. Then, the crystal gates to the Overcity opened, and a winged Magical Girl, Olesya, walked outside. She would see the strange vehicle ridden by the girls, and even stranger crew spread on and around it, including a few monster girls.

However, before Amber had a chance to steer the vehicle in the lamp's direction, it began shining brightly; Mariette recognized the image of a flaming eye projecting from the crystal, until it melted into a pool of viscous red blood. And then, everyone heard distant noises. At first they were indiscernible, until they began resembling demonic roars.
"Oh no! They're coming!" Helga shouted, looking frantically at the lamp, and then around them. Makoto was the first to see that from the forests and mountains charged forth elephant-sized monsters of red and black. They numbered ten in total, with gaping voids in place of faces and spiked tails flailing behind their lumbering forms as the quadruped beasts bounded over the checkerboard fields. Olesya would clearly see how these unnatural abominations came running, obviously intending to attack the girls. Mariette would also recognize these creatures as well when they drew near, their terrifying forms illuminated by the light that Sol Invictus had blessed the ship with:
I assume this would be an Arena RP?

I'm pretty sure everyone's subscribed to the RP thread, but I'll make a quick tag in case anyone missed the new post.
The police closed in on Earth Bastion, having blocked off all roads of escape with their cars. They were about to attempt boarding the ship when they were met with a terrifying sight: a black tendril burst from the ground and flew through the air, followed by a flash of iridescent colors as the portal was formed. The law enforcement was so taken aback by the unnatural phenomena that they retreated wherever there was cover, in alleyways and behind civilian cars. "What the hell is that!" One could be heard shouting, while another simply stared, frozen from fear. "Open fire!" A voice rang out, and the police began shooting at the Earth Bastion, incurring no damage to it's magically enhanced ironsides. With a mighty roar, the rolling ship charged through the portal, followed by a group of mysterious strangers that slipped through unnoticed, and finally closed.

First, there was the feeling of weightlessness and sight-obscuring light, as the ship plunged through the magical gateway, thrown to another plane of existence. It was followed by the sound of sparkling and wooshing, a sound of something hitting dirt hard and finally, silence. The blinding light gave way to a most unusual sight: the Earth Bastion now stood in the middle of a field dominated by an endless checkerboard pattern, and a sky with countless shooting stars, as if it was raining starlight. In the distance, one could see a forest, with clumps of trees growing from the chromatically arranged squares, as well as mountains with unnatural shapes, such as curls and flat-tops.

The landscape was dotted by the occasional ruin of a civilization from another time and place. The air felt lighter and more pure, lacking any kind of manmade pollution. However, it was also a dangerous place, as one could hear the guttural howl of something alien to their home dimension, and a dragon-like being could be seen flying high above. It was truly a world of magic, where greater beings took refuge in the beauty, but one where monsters also roamed as they pleased.

Mariette had placed the portal some distance away from where she last arrived there, but the general scenery was familiar enough for the Dark Magical Girl to recognize. However, she could see that the world had changed from her last visit: while there were still stars in the sky, she could no longer see galaxies. There was also a haze of darkness that covered the land, and black mist could be seen parting against a rock; even if it was the middle of the day, it resembled night. Most notably, there was a crescent moon in the horizon, in a color all too familiar to everyone on this perilous journey: blood red.

"Uaaaah!" Libby Bibby exclaimed in awe, and bounced off the Earth Bastion's deck to peer around at her surroundings. "Salaca doo la menthicka boo la bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!" She sang, spinning around in utter joy with her arms stretched to her sides, her red eyes staring brightly at the sky. Helga did not react as strongly, though she did raise an eyebrow at Libby. However, her attention was soon drawn by seeing the crescent blood moon. "Crap, Justine's already begun the ritual." As the crew adjusted to their new surroundings, Mariette noticed the blood moon to be in Justine's direction, while in the exact opposite direction was the place for which the entire plane derived it's name from: the Overcity itself. It is a massive, grand metropolis, with towers reaching the clouds and giant palaces peeking out form beyond a crystal wall surrounding it. It is a location every Patron knows, for it is a nexus for these magical beings to cross the multiverse, inhabited by magical girls and other beings of arcane inclination. "Justine said she had attempted to enter the city before in the past, but failed. Now I can see why," Helga commented, while Libby Bibby played hopscotch with the checkerboard ground, occasionally flashing a strange smile. As all this was going on, only Alexander would notice a distant lamp post of gothic design, upon which shone not a regular lamp, but a purple crystal the size of a volleyball.

Justine stood at a balcony, her hand resting on the railing. She intently stared at the moon, her lips curled into a smile.
"So beautiful...Yet, I can't help but feel sorrow, and pain. I wonder if it is the same for you, my sweet sister."
She created a magic circle on her palm, and peered through it. "Ever since you were broken by love, your heart consumed by madness, I never knew how you truly felt. All I wanted was to make you happy. Yet, my embrace only grieved you further, and my affection pushed you away. Only in suffering could you smile. But it is not the smile I remember, but one warped by cruelty and sin of man." She closed the circle by clutching her hand into a fist, and flapped her black wings. "But Father gave us a way, a chance to redeem this terrible existence. Father will set us free, Caroline. From your pain, and mine, and everyone."

The vampiric girl turned back, and entered through the open door back to the throne room. There, Sonia waited for him, as well as a woman with long red hair, crouched before the throne.
"Meddling children have arrived," Justine spoke coldly, and took the goblet of blood from Sonia's tray.
"Do you understand what this means?" Sonia asked, and the woman nodded.
"I understand. The Curie Corps will repel the intruders."
"Also...Once you see the mark, you are allowed to use it." Sonia gasped.
"My Lady, you can't mean...."
"Yes...The Final Solution." Justine's fangs showed as she said it in a grin.
"Really? Oh, thank you so much, Lady Justine!" And with that, the woman walked away, followed by Sonia, and Justine sat on her throne, with a little smile as she sipped on her goblet.

"I will let you play around with them for a bit. After all, I do love spoiling my sweet sister with a bit of pudding, hm hm~"
@DarkRecon
Not at all.
@PlatinumSkink
As long as it's in the general area, then that's fine. I'll start planning the next post, and it should be out this week.

Edit: It is out.
@PlatinumSkink

Speaking of portal location, I assume you placed it nearby the place she previously was at when visiting the dimension? If so, I'll assume Amber drove through and the bastion crew has crossed over.
