That's a good point. Classics like The Little Mermaid were basically perfect the first time around and any remakes can only be worse. Remakes of the bad Disney movies are a second chance for them.

Hi there! I've been roleplaying for years, mostly in fantasy-type RPs. I don't like giving out too much about myself, but I am a man living in New York City (that's in the Eastern time zone, if you don't already know), over 18. Recently, I have been busy working, although I graduated from college and grad school a while back.

Everyone's heard of D&D, but I never heard of Sorcery. I know what Wizardry is, though. A bunch of old computer games. Along with Ultima and the Temple of Apshai, Wizardry established CRPGs.

Wow. Looks good so far. Also, don't worry about all of the details. Exact scale doesn't matter. You, I, and at least one other in this RP all draw maps. I don't have one specifically for this game, but I have samples from other settings I can share if you like.

Cyrus's standoff with the bear came to an abrupt and merciful end when a group of other goblin males rushed in behind him, weapons and torches in hand. Fearing an unwinnable fight and leery of the flame in any event, the bear retreated, much to Cyrus's relief. He quickly thanked the other warriors, then went to go find the dried wood he had promised Clelk. The warriors told him that Talik had made it back to the village to tell them about the bear, something which Cyrus had figured in any event.
Careful not to run into any more wildlife, Cyrus found the dried wood in the spot in the woods he knew about, an area so densely overgrown that rain rarely reached the forest floor. A few minutes later, he marched back into the village, carrying a pile of parched ash and oak wood towards Clelk's hut, just as the sun was starting to set.
"Clelk! You there? I got your wood! If there's nothing else you need, I've got to check on Talik! There was a bear attack, but I don't think it hurt him!"

Ophion smiled at the wraith's words. "Powerful as he is, I'm sure he hasn't caught up to where the magical arts have developed in the past several millennia. I'm at least as representative of a powerful wizard now as he was back in his time. I suppose we shall see whether the much vaunted ancient spells still stand up to those of today. If nothing else, this will be a fascinating look back into the practice of magic as it was in our species' earlier days."
They moved down the passage, which much resembled the one they had entered, although this one was fresher and cleaner, as if being actively maintained. Which of course, it was. Around the first corner, the two of them spotted another draconic skeleton, armed only with a broom.
