Current Still alive. Sorry for the delays. Still have that new job, but I'm (gradually) getting another one. Current one is too slow.

Still a little sick. Some sort of cold. Hopefully not the flu. Getting better but it's slowed me down.

That's a good point. Classics like The Little Mermaid were basically perfect the first time around and any remakes can only be worse. Remakes of the bad Disney movies are a second chance for them.

Bio

Hi there! I've been roleplaying for years, mostly in fantasy-type RPs. I don't like giving out too much about myself, but I am a man living in New York City (that's in the Eastern time zone, if you don't already know), over 18. Recently, I have been busy working, although I graduated from college and grad school a while back.

Siwa had a pair of newborn goblins pressed to her chest. She was wearing her top, so they weren't being fed at this very moment. Both of the children had Koglan's skin tone, hair, and looked very much like his offspring. More to the point, one was a boy who looked like the spitting image of him, and the girl clearly looked like his daughter would. None of her other six children closely resembled the two she held right now, and she suspected that her other three sons and three daughters each had a different sire. Four of each, but it seemed like Koglan was the only sire who had two kids with her so far.

"I can't prove it for sure, but if these aren't your son and daughter, I'd be very surprised. None of the other males I've been with look anything like these two. For what it's worth, this boy was born first, shortly followed by his sister. You can name this girl as well as this boy." She waited for him to speak, and she heard the name she gave her firstborn son.

"Hafinjal? Sounds good. I can call him 'Haf' for short." She pronounced 'Haf' in a way that rhymed with 'calf' or 'laugh'. "As for the other thing, that would be the girl. Just don't expect her to work in your forge as well. I am a bit surprised you know who your father's line is, really. I don't even know my father, let alone my grandfather and great-grandfather. Most goblins don't."

@Zillanilla

"I'll just be on my way to see her. Anyone wants to come, just follow me" Breden quickly walked down the path to her hut, not looking back. It seemed that the other goblins who were with him had their own plans.

@Cotton

That's fine. Maybe it was an isolated pocket which is probably gone by now. Or definitely gone by now, but Ophion might not know it yet.
@Cotton

I can edit his backstory to make it fit. What do you suggest I do?
@Dark Cloud

You can narrate his son after a time skip of a few months, when he's old enough to talk.

"If I had wanted to be spoiled, I would have stayed home with my family. Not that my father let my brothers and I indulge too much, but my sisters-" He closed his eyes for a moment, imagining them right now. "Let's just say you haven't seen spoiled until you've lived with upper-class female dracons. It's like they compete with each other for who's the most useless, if you know what I mean. I could tell you quite a few stories about them." Ophion's words were cut short when he heard the sound of doors slamming shut. He looked in the direction of the sound, but couldn't find anyone. Perhaps his joke about the place being haunted wasn't such a joke after all. It wouldn't be the first time he had visited a house with ghosts in it. Not that he had exorcised that residence, as divine magic simply wasn't he skillset.

He looked at the skeleton in the hall. If he counted as a create who could haunt a place, the house was officially in need of an exorcist, not that he cared to do such a thing; not all undead were inherently hostile.
@jasbraq

"Hmm. I assure you that most Dracons don't live a life like that. Yes, I had a comfortable existence at home, and had I stayed, I would always have had a place in my family's manor, but not much else. Maybe I would have been given a job in a business run by an older brother of mine, or if I was lucky, an officer position in the army of my kingdom. In both cases, I'd have been a glorified servant, not a master. And frankly, a life of comfort is really something female Dracons want. No male of my species ever boasted about living a cushy life. We're expected to go out and do things. If it helps, I'm certainly not here to laugh at anyone from a less wealthy family, and I have been called a monster myself on occasion during my journeys. If you want me to impress you, I'd be happy to demonstrate my magic, my swordplay, and my brute strength. I'm not lacking in any of those departments, I assure you."

He had noticed that Adara had fangs, as he did. Not precisely the same type as his, as she had needle-like canines, as opposed to his somewhat more conical crocodile-like teeth. If only she had claws, horns, and a tail, she might begin look like a normal person, at least to his eyes.

"Also, aren't you a bit young to be speaking that way? I've been around humans enough to tell that you aren't as large as an adult. You wouldn't happen to be a halfling, would you?"
@Dark Cloud@Zillanilla

"Vin-a-ger? What's it made out of?" Breden hadn't heard of such a thing. "We normally preserve meat by smoking it. If we can get our hands on some salt, we use that too." He didn't mention that most salt they had was stolen from the humans, but as Aidan hadn't actually taken any himself, he didn't see fit to add that part. "Oh, and my name is Breden, not 'Brendan' or 'Brenden'. Common mistake, don't worry."

Breden turned to Twig. "I suppose I'll head on to Siwa, then. Anyone else who wants to come can, I guess. Maybe we can discuss this vin-a... that stuff on the way. As for Siwa, it'll be up to her as to whether or not she'll let us all in, but I don't think she'll say no if you're coming with me. And if it's important to you, she'll be back to her frisky self in a few weeks, once she settles into her new routine as a mother. Just don't expect her to "see" too many males at once, now that she has a litter to care for."
@Dark Cloud@Zillanilla

I'm here. Took me a moment to realize that you'd changed your screen name. Was waiting for BigPapaBelial to reply, but I guess I'll just go ahead anyway.
Ophion didn't exactly get a straight answer, but he could overhear from the others that this manor was indeed the place mentioned in his letter. As per its contents, he headed inside, trusting that it would indeed be a place he could stay. He hadn't gotten more than a few steps into the manor before he over heard Pike talking to Marrok and Adara.

"That is if we ever meet our mysterious host. Have either of you even seen an employee walking around?"

Ophion interjected, curious to know as well. "Not one. This place might be one of those haunted mansions I've heard so much about. Perhaps I ought to sleep with my sword by my side." He chuckled, as he was joking, but it was a possibility which he couldn't entirely rule out. "If this had been a Dracon manor, we'd have been greeted by a butler by now, or at least a maid." He addressed anyone who was willing and able to listen.

"My name is Ophion, of the Dracon Lands. As you might have guessed, I'm a Dracon, hatched to Dracon parents. I know I look much like a half-dragon, but I assure you, I am not. I'd say more about myself, but I'd much rather reserve that until I get to know some of you better. It is indeed a dangerous thing to tell too much about oneself to others, especially when we don't know who has invited us and why. I just hope that whoever lives here doesn't mind dragon prints on the floor." Ophion wasn't normally a dirty Dracon, but he couldn't help but to track some dirt after such a long trip to the manor.
Post is a bit delayed. Have a meeting early tomorrow. Sorry about that.
