Upon meeting men towering over him with heights of over six feet when he was but a young child, Yu Liang had hoped to grow to their height once reaching adulthood. Any chance of his wish coming true sadly passed as he reached his twentieth year and it became clear he would no longer grow. Only slightly taller than his younger siblings and much shorter than his cousins, the male stands at just barely above five feet and ten inches. Though a bit on the lighter side for his height, weighing a hundred and thirty-six pounds, he possesses more of a graceful, supple build rather than lanky.
Long hair for a male of royal blood is apparently a sign of uncouth youth, at least according to his parents. So, on a particularly solemn day, they'd managed to trick a younger, gullible Yuli into seeing their barber and by the time the child realized what was happening, there were already several thick locks of silky hair strewn across the floor. Of course, they'd soon discovered they'd made a grave mistake after they discovered their own strands of hair along with a pair of scissors by their bed the next morning. Needless to say, he was allowed to style his hair to his heart's content after that incident. Blessed with inherently strong, healthy hair, Yu Liang is able to maintain a bleached, blond color without worry of a receding hairline anytime in the near future, save for a few white strands here and there. His natural hair a deep, raven hue of black, it becomes apparent when another dye job is needed, so he takes great care in preventing his roots from showing. However, when it comes to his face, the noble puts in little to no effort. While his family takes pride in their appearances to the extent of everyone wearing at least a bit of cover-up, he prefers to spend those few extra minutes sleeping or eating.
As for clothing choices, Yu Liang adores beautiful, quality fabrics that, more often than not, create quite the dent in his parents' bank account. He has a soft spot specifically for anything with floral print and enjoys spending hours browsing through various markets. Initially, it was a strange sight for the subjects, seeing the youngest son of the royal family wandering around the streets unattended to, but they soon grew used to it over the years and he became known among merchants for arbitrary visits. At any given time, he's likely to walk into a store and purchase hundreds of dollars of clothing from traditional garb to basic, street-style clothes.
Yu Liang has his quirks and so does everyone else, but shortly after coming into contact with him, many will find he stands just a smidge above the rest in terms of eccentricity (to put it nicely). He'll need a prod or two when asked a question, especially if it happens to be early in the morning, late at night, or whenever he's feeling drowsy (which, unfortunately, is a lot of the time). Likely to doze off in the most inappropriate of places such as the ballroom or a formal dinner, people suspect he either has a sleeping disorder or stays awake until the early mornings. The latter, coupled with his love for sleep (just not at the right hours), frequently make for frustrating conversations and not being able to meet the young noble until late in the afternoon.
Taking after his father, the boy has a tendency of blending into the background during social events. Being at the center of attention is neither something he likes nor dislikes, but Yu Liang finds it easier to listen instead of talking. When his silence is questioned, his usual response is something along the lines of, "I like your voice". Despite his quiet demeanor, Yu Liang loves being around people. Whereas those who do not know him as well mistake him as someone who dislikes chatter, close friends and family know there is actually a distinct line he draws that separates pleasant conversations from noise. In fact, he is rather talkative when he feels the need to be, though he is rarely ever verbose.
Growing up in an affectionate household where hugs are the usual greeting, what may also be surprising to a stranger is how willing Yu Liang is in initiating physical contact, whether it be a simple handshake or a bear hug. As a result, his actions may be misconstrued and he has come off as having an ulterior motive in the past. To counteract this, the boy tries to be on alert for any signs of discomfort, but he's admittedly not the best at doing so (far from it) and will be oblivious to anything less than a push and an angry exclamation. He'll understand and retreat without a word, although his feelings will no doubt be hurt all the same.
His ambition is noticeably less than that of the other nobles and Yu Liang can appear unmotivated or even lazy, but his devotion to his empire cannot be rivaled. He's not a workaholic by any means and he might whine, snoozing for another couple of hours, before getting out of bed, but the boy will not hesitate to do everything and anything in his power for the sake of his family.

Born just as the Weifeng empire was in the midst of slow but steady recovery after it'd undergone a catastrophic war with a neighboring kingdom, Yu Liang's childhood mainly consisted of his parents and his eldest siblings, Chunhua and Jia, working late into the nights on negotiations while he was left in the care of his grandparents. As is the case with any other emperor, his father wished the best for both his empire and his people. Ultimately, they lost nearly a quarter of their territories in order to settle on an agreement- along with the trust of the people. Rumors of his father began to spread rapidly throughout the entire empire. Some spoke of how he'd grown too soft after a century of peace and others spoke of how he was no longer fit to be leader. Needless to say, the entire royal family became a symbol of weakness. There's a limit as to how tolerant an emperor can be before being called someone without a backbone.
Even as the Weifeng empire grew in terms of influence and wealth, the Songs' reputations did not improve. They were not disliked (the harshest of critics could not deny their emperor's well intentions), but several called for him to step down in favor of a more militaristic, charismatic leader, who happened to be Yu Liang's uncle. Emperor Guiren suspected his brother-in-law to be the catalyst behind the rumors, but with no evidence- Enlai had covered his tracks well- there was nothing he could do besides trying to quell the feeling of uneasiness among the people with heartfelt speeches that had little effect. As a result, their relatives were split into various political groups, all vying for the throne. Though there was no eminent threat, the Songs remained wary and withdrew from the rest of their relatives.
Yu Liang lived in seclusion for much of his childhood. Aside from the occasional cousin visiting for business matters and dropping by his bedroom for the briefest of moments, he rarely interacted with anyone besides his grandparents. This was not a problem for the young noble, who was quite content with his grandmother's cooking and his grandfather's stories. When they passed away, his parents hired several caretakers. One after another, they were let go due to various reasons, from putting his life in danger to Yu Liang just not liking them. When he turned twelve, his parents employed a butler who met his standards and the two got along well. Doubling also as Yu Liang's guardian, Nianzu, is an older brother figure and a close confidant.

Hello! Y'all still have room for another princess? (With a possible guest appearance from her big brother later?) I am totally coming up with this on the spot, so constructive criticism is more than welcome! I wrote a more secluded princess from a very small kingdom; they try to keep out of everybody's way and have never had much desire to expand their borders. When the invitation came, it was honestly a surprise (and was likely meant for her brother, who is not allowed to attend, as he is the only member of the family physically incapable of keeping his head down).

Some might say they're stuck in the past, even though Maris is technically a "petty kingdom" that broke itself away from a tyrant's rule about four generations back and has fought to maintain their own identity ever since.

"Mad Prince Harry," the cause for most of the dissent, is still spoken off only in disgusted whispers, and the name "Harry" has long been out of fashion for this reason. Marisians won their independence largely by simply locking their doors and keeping out of the fray until Harry's reach eventually extended beyond his means, bringing his downfall. The remaining subjects are descendants of that first court to take a stand and the refugees that took in during that time.

Tiffany's definitely not the most formidable of people, standing at five feet and four inches (though her impractically high heels give her at least another four or five) and weighing less than one-hundred and twenty pounds. Her hair is thick and straight, and it is naturally a jet black color, though she's dyed it everything from red to blonde to pink (back when dyeing your hair with Kool-Aid was a thing, in middle school). When she was younger, Tiffany was pretty indecisive about her hair, and was constantly getting it altered, but she's kept her hairstyle consistent since her junior year of high school. Right now, it falls a couple inches past her shoulders. Tiffany thinks that it's too straight, but unfortunately, her hair doesn't hold curls very well. Tiffany has taken to getting up an hour earlier just to curl her hair...even knowing that by the end of the day, all evidence of her hard work will be pretty much gone.
Tiffany's features are rather doll-like and dainty, and her warm brown eyes are always usually cheerfully optimistic and/or mischievous. Her eyebrows are perfectly plucked, and her pale skin is always flawlessly maintained via an extensive skin-care routine that Tiffany perfected in high school. Her face is somewhere in between "circular" and "heart-shaped", and her hands are rather small, though her fingers are long and slender (Tiffany attributes this to the hours of piano and violin she was forced to endure up until sophomore year). She is on the slimmer side and leanly muscular, thanks to years of ballet, Chinese dance, gymnastics, and cheer.
On most days, Tiffany refuses to be seen in public without a full face of makeup on-foundation, concealer, mascara, lipstick and/or lip gloss, eyeliner, nail polish, highlighter, eye shadow; the whole shebang. Tiffany loves anything sparkly and anything pink, and she takes great pride in her killer winged eyeliner. Tiffany's generally a pretty cheerful person, and it shows; there's always a playful spring in her step, no matter what choice of footwear she's got for the day, be it a pair of cute lavender ballet flats or seven-inch platform heels bedazzled with rhinestones.

Tiffany's personal style is very pink and very girly. She loves everything sparkly, too, and she's always had a soft spot for florals. On a day-to-day basis, Tiffany likes skirts (especially those cute pleated high-waisted ones), crop tops, and loose, billowy cardigans, paired with heels and hoop earrings. When it's colder outside, Tiffany prefers longer skirts and dresses and/or skinny jeans with heeled boots, silk scarves, pea coats, and cute mittens/earmuffs...all in pink, of course. At a first glance, Tiffany is unnecessarily focused on small, overly specific details and unbearably girly. She is bubbly and outgoing, and her friendly, cheerful disposition is well-liked by her peers, even if they do make fun of her for her propensity of wearing high heels everywhere she goes. Though Tiffany can be very prissy and a bit shallow or superficial, she doesn't have a single mean bone in her body. She can talk about anything and everything for hours on end. Some tend to find this incessant chatter exceedingly irritating, which Tiffany is not always the most aware of. She is a kind and sweet person at heart, and she refuses to say anything bad about other people as a general principle.
If Tiffany is not always aware of how much she talks, she is quite aware of the feelings and thoughts of others. Tiffany is naturally people-smart and is good at picking up subtle hints that indicate shifts in emotions in others. She's a very good listener and always willing to offer comfort to other people. Empathetic, understanding, and cheerful, Tiffany is perpetually impeccably organized and ready for anything. She's a bit of a perfectionist with a stickler for keeping everything neat and organized. Tiffany has an infernal inability to keep her mouth shut on things that don't really matter, making her an incorrigible gossip.
Despite her rather silly tendencies, Tiffany is remarkably good at keeping track of and managing people. She has a knack for remembering names and faces, and for all her sparkly ways, she can sometimes be quite perceptive.

Tiffany's life has been, up until now, completely, utterly normal.
That's not to say that it was boring, of course. Tiffany had a ton of fun just being a normal girl at a normal school with a normal life. In fact, she liked it-she liked being a cheerleader, she liked Starbucks runs before school and sneaking out at lunch to get Chipotle, she liked football games and homecoming and prom, she liked shopping with her friends on the weekends and, well, she could put up with school on the weekdays.
Tiffany's family was pretty normal, too-she had a sister, five years older than her, and a mom and a dad and grandparents and cousins, just like everybody else. Her mother was a translator; her father an engineer. Her family was, for all intents and purposes, perfectly run-of-the-mill.
When she was four or five, Tiffany's mom signed her up for Chinese dance lessons being held in their Maryland hometown, and Tiffany found herself liking it very much. Later on, she would add in a whole range of related activities-ballet, rhythmic gymnastics, artistic gymnastics, jazz, lyrical, et cetera-only to give those up, one after another, as she got bored.
The one thing she stuck with, however, was cheer. Something about the inherent energy in the sport appealed to Tiffany, and besides. Being a cheerleader seemed so cool.
In high school, Tiffany joined the cheer team, and she loved every minute of it. Sure, there were times when it got stressful or tiring, but those were always outweighed by the awesome friends she made. The actual "school" part of high school wasn't as great-Tiffany didn't necessarily flunk out, but she wasn't making the honor roll, either. Her teachers would always accidentally call her by her sister's name, which was made even more annoying by the fact that she'd been valedictorian when she graduated, but whatever. Tiffany didn't really care.
Senior year, spring semester, was when Tiffany's life was turned upside down. It should have been one of the easiest semesters of Tiffany's entire high school career-she had already chosen to go to school in Baltimore with a bunch of her friends, and she had major senioritis and was so looking forward to prom and beach week and then summer vacation (finally) when the incident happened.
Tiffany had been out camping in the mountains for spring break, with a couple of friends from school. Normally, she wouldn't have agreed to such a thing (the "I-haven't-showered-for-three-days" look is so not her style), but one of her best friends had begged her to come, citing the fact that her ex would be there (and that she would totally need someone to vent to in case said ex did something, you know?), so Tiffany went, albeit a bit begrudgingly.
On the third or fourth day, the group of high schoolers went hiking. What should have been a pleasant, relaxing hike turned into something slightly less pleasant and relaxing as Tiffany's BFF fled from the marked trail, in tears over something her ex said. Tiffany, of course, chased after her (ignoring her hair and nails for the time being, which came out of the entire ordeal so messed up), and ended up catching up to said BFF. The two of them found a small cave-like opening in the rocks to sit and rest and catch their bearings, but Tiffany had just barely stepped foot into the cave thingymajiggy when she felt...weird.
Unbeknownst to Tiffany and her friends, the cave had contained a Delta-Crystal, though it wouldn't be until later on in the semester until her powers began to manifest. And when they did manifest, Tiffany freaked, à la White Chicks "I'm going to have a BF!". She didn't particularly want to be a Metahuman, thank you very much-she was supposed to have a normal life, even if it was pretty useful to be able to use her newfound abilities to get her make-up done faster.
When her parents realized what had happened, they were able to pull some strings to get her into one of the Academies meant specifically for Metahumans, since Tiffany's aunt on her mother's side worked for FAMA. Tiffany was not too happy to learn that, instead of going to college with her friends, she would instead be attending an Academy where she knew absolutely no one. But, of course, there was nothing that she could do about it.

Telekinetic-Virus. (shoutout to @Surtr Inc) Tiffany was exposed to the Type-Blue energy, and thus it has gifted her with a form of telekinesis that's somewhat more unique than other kinds. She's capable of releasing telekinetic energy into the environment (which appears as a hot pink light) that travels five meters before it dissipates. While this energy is traveling, it "infects" nearby objects, illuminating it in a hot-pink color, and basically allows her to manipulate it like any other telekinetic would. Any object infected with the "virus" can be moved, and she can also exert some advanced techniques such as crushing, bending, etc - basically anything any other telekinetic can do. She can control several objects at once, or several extremely heavy object - long as it's under 650lb she can control it without straining herself. She can, at will, dispell the virus and spread another one, however she can "spread" the infection by having an infected object hit something unaffected - infecting it.

Tiffany, first and foremost, cannot control what exactly the virus infects, but she can subtly influence it or spread it manually. The virus lasts around ten minutes before it dissipates and she has to create another one - also she can only have one "infection" at a time. In addition the infection doesn't follow her, so if she moves she'll leave the infection behind. Attempting to move anything over 500 pounds will cause severe mental strain on her, however she can manipulate anything infected with the virus long as it's within her line of sight.

Tiffany's power is connected to her body, mind, and spirit. Using it causes injuries to her body in the form of your garden variety nosebleed, to horrific headaches, and strained muscles. She'll basically have one hell of a hangover after a particularly drawn out battle, the typical telekinetic weaknesses. A counter to Tiffany's virus, or a way to dispell it, is high intensity energy - given that it's an energy of a mental sort, once the two collide they'll cancel each other out.

Tiffany loves sweet things; bubble tea, cancer-inducing Starbucks fraps, ice cream, Oreos, doughnuts...as long as there's sugar in it, Tiffany will probably eat it. Her aesthetic consists of bright pinks and yellows and glitter and floral-print, topped off with a pair of suicidally-high heels, and she likes to decorate her notes and planner with cute stickers. She absolutely adores stationery and pretty notes written in sparkly gel pens.
"Legally Blonde", "Clueless", and "The Devil Wears Prada" are three of her all-time favorite movies. Though "Tangled" and "The Princess and the Frog" are wonderful as well. TL;DR Tiffany is a extra as hell and completely prepared to bullshit her way through the Academy in short skirts and glitzy heels
@shylarah Yeah, I have to flesh that part out a little more. But there's a lot more on the background in the link. Like especially the medieval and ancient history- Veredun used to be 3 empires and the titles and political structure are kind of a mix of all three. But yeah, the titles of Holy Roman Emperor/Holy Roman Empress come from one of the 3 Kingdoms.

Tiffany's definitely not the most formidable of people, standing at five feet and four inches (though her impractically high heels give her at least another four or five) and weighing less than one-hundred and twenty pounds. Her hair is thick and straight, and it is naturally a jet black color, though she's dyed it everything from red to blonde to pink (back when dyeing your hair with Kool-Aid was a thing, in middle school). When she was younger, Tiffany was pretty indecisive about her hair, and was constantly getting it altered, but she's kept her hairstyle consistent since her junior year of high school. Right now, it falls a couple inches past her shoulders. Tiffany thinks that it's too straight, but unfortunately, her hair doesn't hold curls very well. Tiffany has taken to getting up an hour earlier just to curl her hair...even knowing that by the end of the day, all evidence of her hard work will be pretty much gone.
Tiffany's features are rather doll-like and dainty, and her warm brown eyes are always usually cheerfully optimistic and/or mischievous. Her eyebrows are perfectly plucked, and her pale skin is always flawlessly maintained via an extensive skin-care routine that Tiffany perfected in high school. Her face is somewhere in between "circular" and "heart-shaped", and her hands are rather small, though her fingers are long and slender (Tiffany attributes this to the hours of piano and violin she was forced to endure up until sophomore year). She is on the slimmer side and leanly muscular, thanks to years of ballet, Chinese dance, gymnastics, and cheer.
On most days, Tiffany refuses to be seen in public without a full face of makeup on-foundation, concealer, mascara, lipstick and/or lip gloss, eyeliner, nail polish, highlighter, eye shadow; the whole shebang. Tiffany loves anything sparkly and anything pink, and she takes great pride in her killer winged eyeliner. Tiffany's generally a pretty cheerful person, and it shows; there's always a playful spring in her step, no matter what choice of footwear she's got for the day, be it a pair of cute lavender ballet flats or seven-inch platform heels bedazzled with rhinestones.

Tiffany's life has been, up until now, completely, utterly normal.
That's not to say that it was boring, of course. Tiffany had a ton of fun just being a normal girl at a normal school with a normal life. In fact, she liked it-she liked being a cheerleader, she liked Starbucks runs before school and sneaking out at lunch to get Chipotle, she liked football games and homecoming and prom, she liked shopping with her friends on the weekends and, well, she could put up with school on the weekdays.
Tiffany's family was pretty normal, too-she had a sister, five years older than her, and a mom and a dad and grandparents and cousins, just like everybody else. Her mother was a translator; her father an engineer. Her family was, for all intents and purposes, perfectly run-of-the-mill.
When she was four or five, Tiffany's mom signed her up for Chinese dance lessons being held in their Maryland hometown, and Tiffany found herself liking it very much. Later on, she would add in a whole range of related activities-ballet, rhythmic gymnastics, artistic gymnastics, jazz, lyrical, et cetera-only to give those up, one after another, as she got bored.
The one thing she stuck with, however, was cheer. Something about the inherent energy in the sport appealed to Tiffany, and besides. Being a cheerleader seemed so cool.
In high school, Tiffany joined the cheer team, and she loved every minute of it. Sure, there were times when it got stressful or tiring, but those were always outweighed by the awesome friends she made. The actual "school" part of high school wasn't as great-Tiffany didn't necessarily flunk out, but she wasn't making the honor roll, either. Her teachers would always accidentally call her by her sister's name, which was made even more annoying by the fact that she'd been valedictorian when she graduated, but whatever. Tiffany didn't really care.
Senior year, spring semester, was when Tiffany's life was turned upside down. It should have been one of the easiest semesters of Tiffany's entire high school career-she had already chosen to go to school in Baltimore with a bunch of her friends, and she had major senioritis and was so looking forward to prom and beach week and then summer vacation (finally) when the incident happened.
Tiffany had been out camping in the mountains for spring break, with a couple of friends from school. Normally, she wouldn't have agreed to such a thing (the "I-haven't-showered-for-three-days" look is so not her style), but one of her best friends had begged her to come, citing the fact that her ex would be there (and that she would totally need someone to vent to in case said ex did something, you know?), so Tiffany went, albeit a bit begrudgingly.
On the third or fourth day, the group of high schoolers went hiking. What should have been a pleasant, relaxing hike turned into something slightly less pleasant and relaxing as Tiffany's BFF fled from the marked trail, in tears over something her ex said. Tiffany, of course, chased after her (ignoring her hair and nails for the time being, which came out of the entire ordeal so messed up), and ended up catching up to said BFF. The two of them found a small cave-like opening in the rocks to sit and rest and catch their bearings, but Tiffany had just barely stepped foot into the cave thingymajiggy when she felt...weird.
Unbeknownst to Tiffany and her friends, the cave had contained a Delta-Crystal, though it wouldn't be until later on in the semester until her powers began to manifest. And when they did manifest, Tiffany freaked, à la White Chicks "I'm going to have a BF!". She didn't particularly want to be a Metahuman, thank you very much-she was supposed to have a normal life, even if it was pretty useful to be able to use her newfound abilities to get her make-up done faster.
When her parents realized what had happened, they were able to pull some strings to get her into one of the Academies meant specifically for Metahumans, since Tiffany's aunt on her mother's side worked for FAMA. Tiffany was not too happy to learn that, instead of going to college with her friends, she would instead be attending an Academy where she knew absolutely no one. But, of course, there was nothing that she could do about it.

Since the establishment of the Veredunian Empire in 1918, every aspect of culture, medicine and pericardial thought has greatly flourished. This is especially true under the reign of the Holy Roman Empress, Catherine Maria Erzbert Báthory. After the death of her husband, Fryderik XI at the young age of 37. After his death, Empress Catherine became the head of the state and ushered in a period of growth, stability and revival which is commonly refereed to as "the revival" period. She is most notable for the advancement of medicine in Veredun. Under her reign, Veredun became a global leader in genetic medicine. She is also renowned for the period of cultural growth and revival, during which Veredun became the foremost authority on classical music, art, fashion and food. This is also became some of the world's highest ranked universities and educational institutions reside in Veredun, churning out leaders in the fields of music, art, dance, medicine, humanities, linguistics, and culinary fields. As a result of this, Veredun is also home to some of the largest libraries and best museums, both of which contain artifacts dating back to Veredun's ancient history.
However, Empress Catherine Báthory's reign has not been all good either. Her reign is also marked with increased press censorship, propaganda and state-sponsored violence. In 2018 alone, over 5,000 journalists and activists were brutally assassinated, leading many to speculate about the nature of free speech within Veredun. Additional scandals include the increased authority of the police and military- while the military have traditionally played an important role in the political structure of Dacia, the police have not. However, under Empress Catherine's reign, the authority of the police has also increased greatly. In particular, the police have been accused of violating individual privacy on many accounts- surveillance has increased exponentially. Records suggest that cameras and mikes are strategically placed across the Empire, constantly recording the thoughts of citizens. It is speculated that anyone who appears to oppose Empress Catherine is "removed"- their entire life is simply erased, right from their birth records. Children are also increasingly encouraged to spy on their family members, and are especially encouraged to turn any "potential threats" into the nearest police official.
In addition to this, Empress Catherine's reign is also has been heavily criticized for its medical advancements. Recent reports suggest that the genetic medical advancements were only possible due to the fact that researchers and doctors experimented on human subject to test their hypothesis. These subjects are widely believed to be prisoners, political opponents, activist, and really anyone who appears to be opposing the Crown in any manner. As a result of this, it is speculated that the experimentation took place without consent.
Furthermore, Empress Catherine's regime has also alarmed the international community due to their "rehabilitation programs." It is widely believed that prisoners are subject to intense physical and psychological trauma in order to force them into compliance and subjugation.
While there seem to be excessive amounts of negative factors concerning Empress Catherine's reign, she has never been formally reprimanded for them by the international community. This is primarily because often times, the non-governmental organizations making these claims have no real proof to back them up with- governmental records are often sealed off, curtailing all access to them. Furthermore, the empire is under heavy surveillance and censorship- even if the international community were to formally condemn Empress Catherine, it would not be displayed on the Verdunian media, which is closely monitored by the state. Either way, none of this takes away from the fact that Empress Catherine will undoubtedly go down as one of Veredun's greatest monarchs whose progressive vision set the stage for a modern, advanced and prosperous Veredun. Under her reign, Veredun has reached new heights and has become a world leader in several important industries, earning her the title of Empress Catherine, "the Great."
