The day is October 21st, and we are finally ready to move our RP over to a new thread. A lot of changes have been made from our old RP, so we figured that it's time to start anew!

Hey everyone!

It's been a lot of work, but I'm finished with the "Pokemon: New World 2.0" thread! I'm going to need your help now.

Step 1: Need everyone to make sure they have subscribed to that thread.

Step 2: Need everyone to proofread everything. I've changed a lot of stuff around. I need you all to look for grammatical errors and, most importantly, consistency. It's not uncommon when making big changes to change something in one place and not the other.

Step 3: Need my two Co-GMs to decide which one of you would like to focus on the Characters section (Character Approvals, Organization Approvals, Monitoring for Cheating) and which one will focus on the IC section (Location Approvals, Mission Approvals, Updating the Chapter Summaries) I'll monitor the OOC section (CP counting and item approvals).

Step 4: Need everyone to help decide what content to transfer over. Should some locations or organizations be left behind (especially those that none of us created)?

The core concepts have stayed the same, but things have changed for the sake of simplification. I've also added all the fun things that have been requested, as well as some new features. Please be kind with your criticism and give everything a chance; this was a headache at times, especially when accidentally breaking BBCodes. *AAARG*!!!

Phew! I'm beat! I've been fine tuning the new RP all afternoon. It's coming along nicely. I'll continue tomorrow. Check out the work thus far here: roleplayerguild.com/topics/167727-pok…

Currently, I'm trimming the fat and re-imagining some aspects. My main focus is the 0th post of the OOC tab. I'm working from the top of the post down. I've made it as far as the manual hider "Organizations". Everything below that point is still subject to change. Hopefully it will all work out and be much easier to grasp once finished.

Character Information

Every user controlled character is also going to be a Pokemon trainer. Every area has a Poke Corp. sponsored lab. The ones in the city are gigantic, while the ones in the country can just be one tiny building. Never the less, your character will want to visit that lab to get their first Pokedex and Pokeball.

Before you go wild exploring the world, it is best to understand where you are starting off. To do that, you must know about ranks.

• Beginner: Any trainer with a Pokedex is considered a beginner. A beginner may only buy/use items designated for Beginner trainers. Due to this item restriction, Beginners can only catch Tier 4 Pokemon, but Pokemon can be caught at tier 4 and evolved to a higher tier.

• Skilled: To obtain this rank, your character must catch six Pokemon, battle with one other user controlled trainer, and travel to one other location other than that character's starting location. At this rank, your character can buy/use 'skilled' items. Skilled trainers can catch Pokemon up to Tier 3, but Pokemon can be caught at tier 3 and evolved to a higher tier.

• Expert: To obtain this rank, your character must have caught 30 Pokemon and have 10 tier 3 Pokemon. At this rank, your character has access to 'expert' items. Skilled trainers can catch Pokemon up to Tier 2.

• Master: To obtain this rank, your character must have caught 100 Pokemon and have at least 20 tier 2 Pokemon. At this rank, your character can use all items, catch all Pokemon, and uncover all the secrets of this world.

You will receive one free character upon starting this RP. After that, you will need to spend Creation Points (CP) to create new characters. PM a moderator when you'd like to spend CP on a new character:

• Beginner Cost: 5 CP (Character starts with 1 Pokemon, at level 5)
• Skilled Cost: 25 CP (Character starts with 6 Pokemon, all at level 10.)
• Expert Cost: 100 CP (Character starts with 20 Pokemon, all at level 20, and 10 of them at tier 3.)
• Master Cost: 400 CP (Character starts with 100 Pokemon, all at level 40, and 20 of them at tier 2.)

Organization Information

Organizations are the backbone of this Role Play. You were introduced to the 4 different types of organizations back in the 'Organizations' subsection of the manual. Here is an in depth look at these four types:

Mission Information

Missions are an interesting way to stay busy and move the plot. There are four different kinds of missions available based. They are related to character ranks. The character that accepts the mission is considered the mission leader; that character must meet the minimum rank requirement, others joining do not:

• Class-C Missions: Beginner
  — These are small time, low danger missions.
  — Costs 5 CP to create.
  — Rewards: 15 TP AND Items valuing up to 15 TP.
  — Takes a minimum of 5 posts from everyone to complete.
  — Maximum participants = 3
• Class-B Missions: Skilled
  — These missions are more interesting and may have danger.
  — Cost 10 CP to create.
  — Rewards: 40 TP AND Items valuing up to 40 TP.
  — Takes a minimum of 10 posts from everyone to complete.
  — Maximum participants = 4
• Class-A Missions: Expert
  — These missions are very important and highly dangerous.
  — Cost 20 CP to create.
  — Rewards: 100 TP AND Items valuing up to 100 TP.
  — Takes a minimum of 15 posts from everyone to complete.
  — Maximum participants = 5
• Epic Missions: Master
  — These missions can hold the fate of the world at stake.
  — Cost 40 CP to create.
  — Rewards: 240 TP AND Items valuing up to 240 TP.
  — Takes a minimum of 20 posts from everyone to complete.
  — Maximum participants = 6

NOTE: For mission rewards: Pokemon Eggs have a value of 20 TP. Fossils have a value of 10 TP

PM a moderator to get your mission approved. Once you have gotten your mission approved via PM. You must get a 'Special Interest Group' to post the mission. If you've created a 'Special Interest Group,' that makes things easier. Otherwise, you need to approach someone who has.

Name: League Prime

Type: Battle League
Sub-type: Classic Gym League

Mission Statement: We strive to make Pokemon trainers stronger through the art of battle.

Organization History:

Thomas Rikon was said to be a Pokemon master long ago. Rumor is that he caught over 300 different Pokemon including two of the three Legendary Titans. Some say that he never felt the sting of defeat. Others tell tale of rare occasions that he was defeated. One thing is known for sure, he was the best Pokemon trainer of his day.

Thomas became tired in his old age. Eventually, he no longer had the energy to go out battling every day like he did in his youth. Thomas began to feel bad for his vast collection of Pokemon as too many of them simply waited, never being brought out to play. Feeling this guilt, Thomas retired from battling all together. He released his entire collection of Pokemon, all except for his beloved Pidgeot, the first Pokemon that he ever caught. Pidgeot spends most of its time outside of it's Poke Ball, right by Thomas's side.

Shortly after Thomas retired, he started League Prime. He hoped that this league would help future generations of trainers discover the beauty of battle. Nothing warms his heart more than watching young trainers and their Pokemon grow as a team.

• We will sponsor up to 8 Pokemon gyms. Once that limit is reached, new gyms can only be added when an old gym steps down OR a challenging gym leader defeats the gym that has the worst win/loss record.

• All gyms that join our network must use Pokemon of types that could naturally be found in their surrounding location. This applies any time a challenger is a part of League Prime.

• To have a shot at becoming champion, one must defeat every gym in the league, collecting their badges. Then you may challenge the reigning champion. Only by defeating the champion can you claim the title.
  

  ---

• If you loose to the Champion, you may still claim the title of Elite. As an 'Elite', new challengers must defeat you first in order to challenge the leader. Up to 4 'Elite' members can be active at one time. If you wish to be considered as an Elite but there are already 4 'Elite' members, you can take the place of the member with the worst win/loss record. If you do not wish to take on the title of 'Elite', you must hand over all your badges and re-earn them in order to challenge at a later date.

• If an Elite member wishes to have another chance at becoming Champion, they must earn that privilege by defeating the next challenger that comes along. Then they must defeat the other Elite members as well as the Champion.

• Gym leaders themselves may also compete to become champion or an Elite member. Obviously, they too must defeat all the other gyms, the Elite members, and the champion. This means, at some point, new challengers must defeat the same person twice to become Champion (Once to get their badge and once to challenge for their title.

• Gym leaders of great might are encouraged to show some restraint, so as not to completely discourage new generations of Pokemon trainers. The name of the game is to not be the weakest gym while not being considered notoriously undefeatable.
