Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

@Balthazar007 I a few more questions...
I know we can do one trainer battle a day to get money and we can do that ourselves but it also has to be a showdown battle right? Like how is that gonna work? Can I pitch a trainer and their Pokemon and levels to you?

I am concerned about grinding and having to write numerous posts for single jobs as well. So could give you also give us examples of more high paying "jobs" trainers can do to get more pokedollars?

I'm not trying to farm or anything but I'm just trying to understand.

Fist off, you can technically have more than one competitive (i.e. showdown) battle per IC day and earn PokeDollars off of them. You just can't battle the SAME trainer twice in one day.

Secondly, if you're itching to battle a new trainer, just let me know. I would love a showdown battle. I have like 5 trainers waiting to debut. Just let me know where you plan on bumping into them, and I'll chose the most appropriate trainer for the location.

As for jobs, there are A, B, C, and D rank jobs. (As well as S-Rank jobs, but I soley control those, and they will come later.) As for the 4 regular ranks, consider this...
D = Chores and Helping Hand Work (No Real Danger Risks)
C = Special Deliveries and High Profile Errands (Slight Danger Risks)
B = Low-Risk Detective Work and Urgent Requests from Rich People (Mild Danger Risks)
A = Police Backup Assignments and Emergency Response Calls (Expected Danger Risks)

S-Rank missions will be like epic journeys (often resulting in a Legendary Encounter). Again, I'll control these. (Action Packed and Dangerous)
@TheForgottenArc I think I'm okay with that but I had a few questions first! @Balthazar007 are we allowed to find known/common items while timeskipping? For example you mentioned Cheri berries were common on some parts of quiet road. Would it be a stretch to say indigo found some?

Also, not gonna lie, I'm kind of curious to see the new pokemon we can access on the old routes. I know you're eager to time skip forgotten arc, but I wanted to also see if there were any new Pokemon... I apologize I hope I'm not being difficult xD

Balth is there any chance you could tell us which new Pokemon we have access to on the old routes?

Okay, I have spent my morning updating the 1st IC post. We now have all available Pokemon and Items in an area displayed. There is also a hider at the bottom that shows Pokemon that can be found all across the region.

You will notice that all items and Pokemon have one of four "Rarity" values with them: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Super Rare. Basically, you can find any Pokemon or item you want, but you need to keep in mind their rarity. This is not an IC thing for your characters to know about; it is for your use, as the player.

Pokemon or item, the encounter rate is as follows....

Common = You can find a common Pokemon or item at any time.
Uncommon = You can only find one uncommon Pokemon and one uncommon item per IC day.
Rare = You can only find one Rare Pokemon and one Rare item per three days.
Super Rare = You can only find one Super Rare Pokemon and one Super Rare item per IC week (7 Days).

And in case you're wondering, if you haven't had your character encounter a Rare Pokemon (for example) in a whole month, that doesn't mean you can encounter two in a row, one day after the other. You wasted that time. There is no roll over. The "per three days" means you should wait "at least" three days between each encounter.

There are still some Pokemon that are hidden (e.g. Legendaries). I'll control these encounters.

I will not monitor how strictly you all abide by this new "rarity system", but I kindly ask that you do so, for the sake of realism.
@Balthazar007

So does that 5 pokedollars come out of Margo's money? (Sorry if you've mentioned this before!)

@iKatamalicious you don't lose any money!

Correct!
@TheForgottenArc

By the way, I read your latest IC post and would like to point something out. Dan says that they have a day and a half walk to get from Shamba to Wanzo, but if you check the description for Quiet Road (the route that connects the two towns), it says....

(It takes about 12 hours to walk this route.)

That's only half a day. Did you already know this; was Dan including a day's worth of rest or train time?
@Balthazar007

They were 18, 15, and 15.
:)

@prettydrops

The formula for earning PokeDollars is simple. Margo's Pokemon levels add up to 48. Then, we divide that by 10 and round to the nearest whole number. Therefore, Dan gains 5 PokeDollars for winning their battle.

And remember, they can't earn any more PokeDollars by battling each other for the rest of this IC day. One "for PokeDollar reward" battle per IC day.
@iKatamalicious

I need to know what level your three Pokemon were during your battle with Dan. Dan's PokeDollar reward is dependent on that.
@Balthazar007 Yea I did that and kept most of the EV's, IV's and PN the same but my states seem to be about the same even with distributing my points evenly. My Rat only has like 27 HP points at his current level. Maybe I'm not doing this right somehow it worked before...

Okay, I checked it out. It looks like a glitch. Base stats don't appear to be moving right now, but if you adjust your IVs, EVs, and levels, you can see the bars that represent your base stats go up and down. In other words, I think the base stats are changing and will be taken into account during battle. It's just that some line of code somewhere that displays your base stats (in that specific location) has been broken.
Okay, So Idk why, but my level 19 Grotle on Pokemon showdown! Still has base states. Is that supposed to be how it is? Cause If we're being clear, I'm not sure of grotle states at level 19...

What you should do in Pokemon Showdown is click on your stat pool and click on your suggested spread (as made by smogon analysis). Then you can adjust your EVs and IVs as you see fit. I do not moderate your EVs, IVs, or Pokemon Nature, so you can play with these as much as you want, whenever you want, to modify your Pokemon's base stats.

On a side note: Nobody is using Hidden Abilities correct? Because you shouldn't. These can be unlocked via IC conditions that I will reveal later.

The Night Before: Thursday, March 5th, 11:00PM
@ a Nightclub in West Septoh

The grand opening of West Septoh's largest night club was moving smoothly. The drinks were flowing. The dance floor raved non-stop. It was incredible. The question the locals had been asking for weeks was temporarily forgotten. "Who owns the club?"

Rumor had it; it was a tycoon from another region. They showed up a couple months ago, threw around a copious amount of money, and got the business approved right away. They brought in their own construction team that worked around the clock, and in less than 80 days, the building was finished.

A lesser concern in the weeks leading up to the grand opening was, "Why here?". The town wasn't small, but it also wasn't a city. "Why build such a large night club, in such an ordinary town?" But the day had arrived, and these concerns turned out to be null and void. People from all over Septoh had shown up to the party. Little did they know, so did many others...... not from Septoh.
@iKatamalicious@TheForgottenArc@prettydrops

I felt like it would take about twenty minutes for Indigo and Daniel to get dressed and head downstairs, so I've pushed the timeline along accordingly.

I meant to post something Tuesday but ran out of time. I'm posting something within an hour from now, some plot moving stuff.
