Charlie allowed her adopted sister to comfort her as she trembled a little, trying to hold back tears. She was worried about Raph, especially since it affected the brothers. Leo moreso than the others. She had finally calmed down when she heard Leo's voice.

She looked at Jen in surprise, hopeful as well as she headed upstairs quickly. She stopped upon seeing Raph awake and standing with a bit of help from Leo who seemed to have mended things between them. "You're okay!" She exclaimed, running over to hug the turtle in relief as happy tears fell.

She pulled away, sniffing softly before smirking. "Bet you woke up because I was making sandwiches." She teased.
Charlie stayed close to Raph even after Leo insisted on keeping watch. She tried explaining they could take shifts so the other could get some rest, but the idea seemed to fall on deaf ears. She could tell Leo felt guilty for his brother being unconscious. If they hadn't fought, Raph wouldn't be in this predicament and would have had a better chance fighting off the Foot.

She was currently in the kitchen making some sandwiches for everyone when she looked up to see Jennifer. "Hey." She said, realizing just how tired her voice sounded. It had been a few days since she had gotten proper sleep having only around three to four hours of rest if that. There were clear circles under her eyes from the sleeplessness. "Wanna help with these? I'm making them for everyone. Well, except for..." She said before trailing off.
Charlie did her best to protect Raph and April as the latter tried opening a trapdoor for them to escape. It was the best course of action as they were easily overwhelmed by the numbers against them. Once it was opened, she helped Donnie get Raph through before climbing in after them. She turned to look back at Jen as they made their escape, worried about Raph and where they'd go now but also curious as to how they were found out by the enemy.

The small group piled into April's van, Charlie carefully helping them bring in Raph before gently laying his head in her lap. She just hoped he'd wake up soon. She sighed softly before looking at everyone else as the hockey man took control of driving the car as April glanced back at her home burning.

"Sorry about your place, April." She said softly, breaking the tense silence among them.
Charlie watched as the Foot surrounded them before chuckling softly at the chucker tried intimidating them but easily lost to Mikey who did have impressive skills. Once Donnie attacked, it was on as punches and kicks were thrown. Charlie nodded in reply to Jennifer, getting launched at a ninja which she kicked down. She managed to jump away just as a hatchet came close to getting her. She realized Donnie's point too late as more ninjas came from the roof, causing the ruined floor to collapse.

Charlie screamed as she fell with the others, a little bruised, but otherwise alright. She gasped softly upon seeing a bald Japanese man with more ninjas before them. Was he the leader? The answer was delayed as the door opened up to show a muscled man in a hockey mask carrying a hockey stick. "You guys mind telling me what you're doing to my little green pal over there, hm?" He asked,
lifting up his mask to show he was around April's age.

"Oh, who is the babe?" He added upon seeing her next to Raph.

"Who the heck is that?" Leo asked, just as confused as everyone else there.

"Wayne Gretzky on steroids?" Mikey guessed jokingly.
Charlie heard his words but didn't want to leave him alone, especially being clearly outnumbered. She hesitated for a moment before sneaking away, quickly heading downstairs to tell the others. She just hoped by the time she told them it wouldn't be too late. Tears started to sting her eyes at the thought of the brothers losing another family member, especially after the fight he had with Leo.

She pushed the thoughts away as she spotted the others, running over towards them before quickly recoiling as she saw something fly quickly through the air. She was too late to warn them; the Foot were already here. She watched in shock as Raph crashed through the sunroof, glass and wood surrounding him. He wasn't moving. "Raph!" She exclaimed, running over with April and Donnie. Tears stung her eyes once again as she silently begged him to still be alive.

"He's alive. Barely." Donnie assured them before looking at the few ninjas that had jumped in after their brother. Relief washed over Charlie before anger took over. These ninjas had the nerve to attack April, cause Splinter's disappearance, and now hurt her friend and threaten his brothers. She stood up, getting into a defensive stance.
"So do I, but I don't think he'd want his family to fall into discord." She said, carefully walking up to him. She still wanted to give him space should he decide to throw more punches and kicks. Charlie hesitated before gently placing a hand on his shoulder. "I know it might take you a while to calm down, but you have to try to make up with Leo. You can't leave things the way they were." She advised with a little hopeful smile.

Unbeknownst to them they were being watched by multiple eyes. One pair was from a not too far away building where a man sat, not believing what he was seeing even with the binoculars. It was the weird punk he met a few nights ago. What was he doing up there? And why was there a girl with him?

The other eyes belonged to a group of Foot ninjas who were creeping up on the duo before Charlie sensed something was wrong. She turned around, eyes widening as she saw they were surrounded. "Raph!" She exclaimed, but her warning came too late as one of the ninjas jumped onto his back.
Charlie had heard the door to the roof close after she started to head downstairs, changing her direction to find the red bandanaed turtle in hopes of at least talking to him or finding another way to calm him down. She arrived in time to see him angrily punching and kicking the air. She figured he was letting off steam imagining he was fighting the Foot, or worse, Leo.

"Raph? You okay?" She asked, letting him know she was there. She didn't want to anger him further if he eventually saw her, figuring letting him know would avert an accidental attack. "What Leo said back there...I'm sure he didn't mean it. Both of you are upset about this and said things you didn't mean to." She said.
A little squeak escaped Charlie as the sai hit the floor, startled by the sudden movement. She noted that Raph apparently didn't like being teased, especially if he was in a bad mood. Speaking of, he was clearly upset when asking about the next course of action. Upon hearing Raph speak of Splinter, her heart sank a little. He still had hope in finding his father figure. She glanced at Leo, wondering how he could be so calm about all this. Surely he was just upset about Splinter's disappearance as Raph.

"Fight?"

"Fight."

"Kitchen?"

"Kitchen." Mikey and Donnie exchanged before leaving to get out of the verbal gunfire about to ensue. Charlie watched the two older brothers as she realized the younger two were right. Clearly Leo's calm demeanor wasn't going over well with Raph.

"Leo!" She exclaimed as he called Raph on his attitude and a jerk. From her point of view, it was uncalled for. They were fighting, tearing a rift between their brotherly bond that wasn't repairing any time soon. She watched as Raph stormed off, Leo yelling they didn't need him.

Something within her snapped as she glared daggers at Leo. "How could you say that to your own brother?! He's your family! The last thing you all need is losing him too!" She yelled at him.

"You're supposed to be the leader...but all you're doing is pushing him away. Way to go, Leo." She said before leaving as well, trying to find Raph in hopes of helping him calm down and keep him safe.
Charlie practiced with Jennifer on some self defense which she was thankful for, even with Leo and Donnie giving her some pointers and helping with her stances. She proved to be a good learner although not a one hundred percent great fighter. She was still learning after all.

Her attention turned to the TV as April started speaking snorting at Mikey's comment about April. Boys. She gave Jen a little nod of thanks for the water before looking back as April mentioned being rescued, blinking a few times upon hearing her thank not only Jen and Raph but Charlie herself as well.

Her attention was broken as Mikey pointed at Raph. "Look! I think he's blushing! I think he's actually turning red."
"We can handle ourselves, April. We'll be okay." Charlie assured her with a smile. Of course they'd still be here, they had nowhere to go really, especially if the Foot was looking for them. She gave her a wave as she left before grabbing her things and heading to the bathroom to change. She sighed softly as she processed everything that happened within the last day.

They had met four teenage brothers who were different like her and Jen, befriended them, they lost their mentor and father, and were now camping out here as a safe haven. She sighed softly, realizing how much had happened in so little time.
