Roleplay Preferences
▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔
I mostly enjoy writing in the Casual section of the guild. Character development and exploring character relationships motivate me. I like to really think myself into my character and their view on others and the world around them which is why I prefer to stick to one character per roleplay. I love world-building but I am also easily overwhelmed with very detailed concepts I haven't been met with before. So you could say I love a decent amount of world-building and prefer original builds. Once everyone has settled, expanding that world and its concept is a great way to create more depth and keep me as a player hooked as I love to discover new things!

My favorite genre is and has always been fantasy. I guess you could say I love escapism to a point where I like to flee the mundane world entirely. I also feel drawn to sci-fi roleplays but I have noticed that those usually intimidate me. I feel like I am not adept at writing about technology and all that sci-fi goodness so I mostly just pine over how awesome some OOCs look and never apply to them.

When it comes to fantasy I feel right at home. For my mind, it is much easier to grasp magical concepts and worlds than sci-fi ones. As a result of this, all the worlds I write up (be it here as a GM or elsewhere) tend to be fantastical in one way or another. I especially enjoy adventure RPs and witch RPs. I like to see new magical systems and am always eager to learn more about the worlds I RP in.

Additionally, all my characters are queer, always. Since I am queer myself and can't imagine playing straight ^^

I always write my IC posts in gray due to finding the white color pretty straining on the eyes.

ORLBAR

Month: Deepwinter
Races: Humans
Population: about 450 people

▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔
It is the year 1349 DR, in the month of Deepwinter. You have been on the road for nearly two months now, and snow hangs thick on the trees as you make your way towards the town of Orlbar, at the foot of the Greypeak Mountains. The Greypeaks are known throughout Faerun for their silver and iron mines, but it is a different type of metal that brought you here: gold. While you were in Neverwinter you overheard rumors of a large horde of treasure within an abandoned goblin keep. Even tavern rumors prove to be fruitful sometimes and having been without a purpose for some months, you departed immediately for the Grey Vale.

When you reach Orlbar, the air is brisk and the town is busy. Carts carry all manner of goods: timber, wool bales, grain, and animals from the surrounding country. Some of these goods would be bound for Waterdeep or Neverwinter, others for the nearby city of Loudwater. Hungry and thirsty after many days on the road, you enter the first tavern you see, The Woodsman’s Retreat, and satisfy your cravings. Bread, cheese and a hot mulled wine do the trick nicely. You then enquire from the barkeep about accommodation. Your bones ache and rest is essential. The mountains can wait one or two days while you rest and replenish your supplies in town. The barkeep tells you that a very respectable inn, the Silver Flask, is just nearby. Toting your backpack, you walk down the street to the Silver Flask and pay for a room. The innkeeper is a jolly woman who is glad to have your business, and she lights a cozy fire in your room. You bathe, then lie down to rest and soon fall into a deep sleep; it’s been a while since your travel-hardened self has had clean sheets and a roof overhead!

You are woken later that night by noise from the next room. You can hear a woman openly sobbing on the other side of the wall. The sound is gut-wrenching. Every now and then a male voice says something as if trying to comfort her. You tolerate this for a while, but eventually, it becomes evident that sleep is going to be impossible. You look about your adventuring group, the other three people you have been with for quite a few months now. For whatever reason, you four have stuck together. It seems all your companions had been awakened by the cries from the next room just like you have.

3. Initiative gets rolled by the GM to speed up the process.

@Mistress Dizzy Have I accepted your sheet yet? In any case, it's accepted once you add a picture. As with the others, I have not taken a very close detailed look at the mechanical CS (the linked dnd sheet) and will extend the trust that all is up to standard.
@CollectorOfMyst@Vertigo Both accepted. I have not looked closely into the linked CS (mechanical bits). I extend the trust that it's all fine and according to rules :)

I am expecting to write the first IC post tomorrow. It is a bit too late today for me to still write it. Once the IC is up, we are on a schedule of posting once a week minimum.
@Vertigo You get the con mod as normal! I wrote it confusingly. So it's max HP + con + roll HP + con.

It was easy to say the creature had escaped its temporary prison as something much less solid appeared to be running sometimes behind, sometimes just a few feet to their side, seemingly having caught up to them. It looked like black smoke with fast legs and glaring white eyes, a figure not decipherable as anything comprehensible. But Simon, Manon and Scott knew these eyes, they knew the chill that ran down their spines every time they got a glimpse of the dark smokey figure before it seemingly vanished - just to reappear a moment later in the corner of their eye. Chasing its prey.

Just as they were about to see the end of the forest before them, their view was blocked by the creature. The smoke manifested into the figure they'd seen before. A black dog-like creature with bright white eyes shining bright. And then its gaze dropped onto Simon and the boy began to feel something pull on the very essence of his being, his soul perhaps. Since he had not experienced it before, it was hard to tell. Simon began to feel weaker the longer the gaze of the dog lingered on him, pulling all the energy from his body, slowly and painstakingly.

Zhalia kept pace with Phalko for a moment until they jumped through literal space, teleporting themselves ahead. Though Zhalia didn't mean to slow down, she did nonetheless. Turning her head while keeping just a bit ahead of the rest of the group, making sure she kept them in her eyesight. But the shadow was haunting them. The creature was stalking them, giving them space just to taunt them with its reappearing presence. Something had to be done. She could not fight it here. She did not want to fight it here.

An undead creature I can't pin down... Her necromancy was her most trusted tool, she knew her skills, and she knew the extent of them well. Zhalia turned around once more, stopping in her tracks, a tight grip on her dagger. She studied the surrounding trees, waiting for the beast to show itself once more. Her sense for all things necromantic had clearly indicated this creature to be necromantic in nature. But she could not pin down what exactly it was. A ghost perhaps? But then I would have picked up on it... The mystery of this dog's original perplexed her. You're not an omen at all, are you? Her eyes kept slowly studying the tree line around them. Where are you?

The group caught up with her and as she began to walk again, intending to keep with their pace this time, the creature appeared right in front of them. She immediately took on a readied stance when Simon suddenly weakened and seemingly sunk into himself. Without hesitation she threw her dagger straight at the beast, aiming for its eye. The dagger went through the beast as if it was nothing but smoke and air though it had regained its solid look. The gaze of the beast whipped over to Zhalia.

A painful draining feeling immediately surfaced within every muscle of her being and she couldn't stop herself from dropping to the cold forest floor. Every cell in her body felt like it had been starved of nutrition for months though she felt no hunger. Her eyes had trouble focusing as she attempted to press herself up from the cold floor. "Run", she told the others. Every inch of her body was in a constant, dumbfounding pain that felt like it would never end. It wasn't excruciating pain but it was so tiring. Her energy was dwindling with every second. "Go, now!" She could fight the creature. She was sure she had faced worse. She would find the strength to get up. I will get up. Just get up. Do it. Move, you stupid useless muscles! She pressed her hands into the cold floor and lifted her upper body up with all the might she could muster.

I will be unsubscribing from this. If anyone here decides to run a DND campaign on here (or on discord), let me know!
@CollectorOfMyst This still needs some finishing touches? Some sentences about the backstory perhaps :)

@Mistress Dizzy Your CS also still needs some work, it seems. How's that coming along?

@Neianna86 Seems good to me.

As I said, I would wanna try and get the IC started on Monday, possibly Tuesday. But that's what I am aiming for at the moment. For those not finished with their CS yet, do you think you can finish them until then?
@rocketrobie2 Looks good to me :) You can move the two of them into the character tab.
