Location: The wild world 'treehouse' (I don't know i am not super military here i just study animals...uh...10-4?) Castan was distracted...then again when was she not distracted when she was out in the wild, her blazing red hair standing out amongst the greens as her large eyes seemed focused in on a herd of Millis. She had a small smile as she watched them, but was soon bumped out of it by the curious nose of the Gliocas she had fed earlier. Given its duller ear feathers this one was a female...and oh god she was late. Quickly running a hand through her hair as she stuffed her notepad and pencil away she patted the Gliocas before sprinting.
As Castan ran she felt a silence in the wild. The creatures she had been studying suddenly started running and the Gliocas she had fed earlier let out a chirp like noise before nudging her. She huffed. "Im running as fast as i can if you have complaints then carry me then your furry butt!" It snorted at her and to her large surprise did just that. So her arrival to the tree house was with large shocked eyes on top of a Gliocas as a herd of Millis ran past. It was more dramatic then she intended to say the least. As soon as she was close enough she made her way in hoping the caravan that had held the things that she was not carrying put it all in a room for her like she had asked before she went to investigate the herd.
Once off the large furry beast of a creature she pet it and gave it a snack and made her way in. She soon found the rest of the group and looked the least military. Her outfit was less armor and more tight fitting hiking...which she had a reason for in her bag, but she looked more civilian then team member. "Hi...i am so sorry for my tardiness! My name is Castan and I'm a Monster biologist at your service" She did her best salute and then held out her hand. Clearly she was not military trained either.
Before Damon fully got in and waited for the metal box to move he had answered Charlie. Yeah get here quick He then proceeded to get in and keep his bow and arrow ready. He would not be caught unprepared.
Damon made his way downstairs and held up his bow with his drawn arrow not sure what he was getting into. He inhaled and gestured with his head resulting in the wolf with him to trot forward ears pricked and head going back and forth. He had no idea what to expect and if something popped out suddenly he would rather his tattoo got killed then himself. It was a harsh sentiment but as long as he lived they would not fully die...he winced as his side with the panther reminded him that he suffered pain with each death.
Meanwhile the wolf left with Ayita and cassandra began pacing after missing its lunge. Snarling teeth were expose as it paced with its eyes shifting between avalanche and toad clearly while this was a creature of ink it was fully capable of its own thoughts. [center]
Othello
condition: still a bit medicated
Othello rolled his eyes with the shifting ground. What a showy individual Avalanche was. Why show so much power when one could just...not do that? However there was a chance those..creeps that lit him on fire were down there so to the down stairs he would go. With a straightening of his jacket he picked up his pace to make to to them a hint of a smile developing on his face.
While walking he huffed and teleported to the nearest way downstairs and straightened his jacket again. " Why walk when you can just...teleport?" The hint of a smile remained and he continued his way toward avalanche and toad with no idea what he would be walking into and seemingly not giving a damn about it. He always had a trick up his sleeves after all.
Damon found himself thrown off balance when Ayita pushed him back, but quickly recovered. "Okay, but be careful. Actually.." From his chest two of the three wolves spilled and formed. "Have someone to help" One of the wolves moved and as Ayita lunged the wolf lunged for Avalanche, its jaws snapping as it let out a fierce snarl.
The other wolf moved with Damon to the elevator that he quickly got into. "Hopefully this will work" His hand went to the top of the wolf's head and patted it before he notched an arrow and pushed the button in the elevator to start going down. If he had to fight he would...he just hoped now that he could help intercept the virus.
Othello
condition: somewhat medicated
Othello slowly blinked awake and growled at the scent of singed fur and wounds. He slowly moved his head and looked at how he was bound and snorted. Did they not realize they were dealing with a magician? Part of his act was escape! With a scoff he looked forward and teleported forward enough to get him out of the bondage. He shook at his fur and shifted to human before lightly nudging sabertooth with his foot. With a sigh he bent down and proceeded to take off Sabertooth's bindings before looking at the body of Oshea.
"Well they must have left in a hurry. How inconvenient" He looked back at sabertooth. "He will wake eventually for now I need to get those animal abusers" With a flare he turned and made his way to finding the group. His main target being the one with fire.
Bio: Zevi was born to a warlord Drakkan and a gem. He got the short end of the genetics at least in his father’s eyes….and ended up with more gem traits then the usual brutish ones. With him being smaller and more fragile in appearance he was treated more harshly. He was not taught how to fight by his father for thought of being too weak and not worth the effort, while his larger more traditional Drakkan brother was more favored. This lead him to be more adept with words like his mother, but knew when to hide it, developing more of a strong silent personality that does not fully fit his looks. Finding that he was not learning fighting he turned to skills, developing weapon crafting and unconventional skills like sewing….after all if you can sew fabric you can sew skin...and implementing his abilities into some of them.
Later in the years, Zevi was presented to Vonnath like something to be discarded. He did not expect any less, but it made him determined to show that he could fight just like anyone else. He was tossed to Vonnath as a challenge and to be discarded. He trained hard his stubbornness and quick wit showing his skill with fighting in a way that benefited him.
After training, Vannoth and Zevi were tested by his father in the form of a raid. The raid became an ambush resulting in Vannoth and Zevi saving each others lives. Being rather displeased with the outcome, Vannoth confronted Zevi’s father and in order to prove his fighting capabilities and the story as true Zevi fought his older brother and won. After winning, Zevi left his famiy to be a blacksmith living on the same property as Vannoth.
As the culmination of all the training, Vonnath and Zevi set out to raid a southern province outpost, something that was meant to be quiet and a test of the training. They practiced on the long road to the south, and took what few men dared follow Zevi into battle- even with Vonnath at his side. The goal was to raid a outpost for the supplies within, and quickly leave before trouble became danger. They did not suspect what happened upon their arrival. Once the raiding party arrived they were ambushed by the enemy forces- and most were cut down by bow and crossbow fire. The rest were boxed in with shield and spear. Vonnaths Rage manifested that day into a blind Berserker whirlwind, and he tore into the ranks of the enemy, receiving one dire wound that until he passed out shortly after the last foe fell, completely spent.
Seeing Vonnath go into a blind rage Zevi curbed any doubt he held about himself and fought the way he could. Knives flying through the air and finding their mark in enemies eyes and daggers being buried and twisted into necks. As he fought his way through he spotted Vonnath receiving a wound. Anger coursing through him he stormed his way to the enemy his eyes stormy with anger and proceeded to burn the enemy with a white hot dagger. His enemy caught off guard he proceeded to mutilate them, anger taking control of him over his usual demeanor.Standing over the corpse he knew he had just proven how brutal he could be and quickly moved to Vonnath, helping him to his feet. They left the Outpost burning, reduced to ash and rubble- Vonnath’s flames and sword left nothing but a river of blood, twisted bodies and ash in his wake, and Zevi’s daggers left none to run, hide, or tell.
Zevi left knowing he had just proven his brutality and thus one step closer to being a son and not a disappointment. Having a similar outlook Vonnath approached Zevi’s father, and suggested a duel between Zevi and his brother. - “You sent me your youngest son, and asked me to train him. You insulted me and my talent, and then you also made him raid with too few warriors. You tried to kill him, and by sending me with him, you tried to kill Me. . . But no worries, I took your son, and I give you back a warrior who will bring your eldest to his knees. Kill him if he fails, but if you cast him out if he wins, it will be the last time you insult me.” -Vonnath to Zevi’s father. -
Zevi looked over quickly at that statement but then rolled his shoulders. He refused to be seen as weak. Not here, not now. His eyes developed that icy gaze and his hand gripped his dagger. His brother meanwhile held a smirk, the taller bigger Drakkan was fully prepared to kill the younger brat.
Zevi fought with a ferocity unknown to his brother and father, who had underestimated him, they thought little of him and did not know of the talents he had picked up in battle, and perfected on the trip home. However, that did not prevent him from gaining a scar to his face, a reminder of the battle and the day he fully proved himself. Zevi fought, and beat, his elder and more Drakkan brother in a manner that left onlookers aghast. How could a half-breed best a more pure warrior?-
Vonnath laughed, “Zevi fought with me, we were ambushed and he saved my life, and even though i cannot raise a sword above my shoulder, I at least still draw breath to train and support more warriors due to his spirit and tenacity!” -
He continued to point out, that all his life he was shown no passion, and thus no way to curb it or tame it. He may have a long way to go as a warrior, but this youngling was well on his way. Zevi’s father was not amused. He immediately drew his sword and accuse Vonnath of “helping the disgrace cheat”. Before all onlookers, Vonnath Challenged and warned Zevi’s father one last time. Vonnath was a great many things, Brutal, heartless and wrathful, but to call him a cheater, and to insult his profession yet again was too far. Zevi’s father and Vonnath dueled, and despite his wound, Vonnath left the man in a crumpled heap, humiliated and scared from chin to waist with flame and sword. -
“We are off to see the princes, we have news for them. Zevi, your place is not here, where your talents will be wasted. Join me as i give the report, and then go pack your things. You will join me in my own home. You are best put to work- not ignored and wasted to be idol or ignored by a fool who cannot hold a sword.” This was the last thing Vonnath ever said to his once old friend.
Zevi gave one look at his father before turning and walking away with Vonnath never to look at his father again and he was more than fine with that.
Other: Appearance: Zevi is more gem in his traits then Drakkan. He has steel grey eyes and deep red hair. His horns are a black coloration and his ears are pointed.
Adult Content Preference: I am good with either. I will follow the comfort levels of the partner and work from there.
Description: This monster is a reptilian terror. Its black skin allows it to blend in at night when it typically hunts and lower light conditions. It is reaver in nature given that it rips through its prey with sharp claws and teeth and typically hunts in packs ranging from 4-10. They seem intelligent but cannot speak and instead use bark like noises. They seem to enjoy hunting smarter prey meaning humans are a joy for them. Typically there is an alpha male and female with the rest of the pack being under them. They are capable of learning so if one tactic does not work they will try a different angle. Their front arms are shorter then their back legs much like a bird...without flight. They seem more suited for the night but occasionally one has been spotted during the day making them believed to be opportunistic creatures. Their dense hide seems more then capable of deflecting arrows, though it seems bullets are able to harm them. They seem to hate bright lights and fire. Seeing a dead Luath is not uncommon given infighting or a male loosing a fight. However, once a corpse of a Luath is spotted there could be more nearby or something more opportunistic waiting to feast on it.
Average Size: 4-5 ft with males being smaller then females
Weapons: Brief summary of the weapons and attacks the monster has such as sharp claws, sharp teeth, crushing strength, etc. -Claws: Luah have claws on their front "hands" and their feet. Paired with an even shaper talon on each foot made for tearing through tough hides. -Teeth: They have a powerful jaw strength and easily crush bone -Intelligence: Often they work like wolves, but when the normal hunting fails they are able to learn quickly what will work and adapt -Tough skin: Arrow proof and nearly bullet proof -Speed: They are fast being able to run up to 40 mph -Surprise: Their favored form of attack seems to be the element of surprise often leaping into view just before ripping into prey and jumping in the air to land on them.
Occultic Properties: -None
Durability: 10/25
Agility: 20/25
Strength: 15/25
Special Properties: -Climbing: They seem incapable of climbing trees -Separation: Lone Luath seem to be more fearful and less likely to attack, much more likely to flee. -Imprint: Much like other reptiles if a human is the first thing it sees when hatching it will imprint on that human -Calls: Like dolphins Luath have unique calls they give to each other for signaling, dead silence after hearing a call is a sign that they are close
Weaknesses: -Bullets: They wound and can kill if aim is fast enough -Trees: They cannot climb trees -Light: They seem to highly dislike fire or extremely bright light
Recommended Type and Category: Reaver category 5
Name: Ribhinn
Description: 4-10 sentence description talking of the monster and it's capabilities. As well as notes on it's behavior. These small lizard plant blends of creatures are pale when they are not actively blending in with their surroundings. Much like a cuttlefish they are capable of matching the textures and colors of the area they are in making them incredibly hard to study. They seem to be omnivores and a bite from them is actually extremely deadly. They are curious creatures and seem to not want to attack anything extremely larger then them until they are threatened. They are typically found in pairs or small groups of 4. It seems they hunt very similarly to a komodo dragon when they do chose to hunt. Often they will eat fruit meat only being something they go for when it is the only option left or easy. Other then that, not much is known of these creatures.
Average Size: -Length of 2-3 ft with females being larger then males
Weapons: -Claws: While they have claws they seem more equipped for navigating the terrain -Teeth: Getting bitten by one is not pleasant when it comes to their teeth. They are very sharp and while they will not rip down to the bone with them they will give a rather nasty wound. -Venom: Their saliva is filled with harmful bacteria which is the main reason their bite is unpleasant. Their saliva matches that of a komodo dragon.
Occultic Properties: -It is uncertain if their cuttlefish like abilities are occultic or not
Durability: 4/25
Agility: 10/25
Strength: 5/25
Special Properties: -Camouflage: Matching a cuttlefish they can blend with their surroundings seamlessly -Saliva/venom: Matches a komodo dragon -Strength: For being small they are able to take down creatures far larger then them if they hunt actively
Weaknesses: -Skin: Arrows and bullets can both damage it if you can find it -Small: It is small enough that this creature could be lifted and carried
Recommended Type and Category: -Reaver category 2
Name: Milis
Description: This large strange looking creature seems completely docile and rather...unintelligent. They are complete herbivores and more likely to run away from anything remotely threatening then stay long enough to find out what it is. Some of the braver ones may be curious enough to see what something is, but if too spooky it will run away at top speed. Their hides are tougher then a deer, but not by much, any creature with claws can take these out with ease. Often they are found in large herds of 10+ or occasionally solitary if they were separated. Males often have larger tusks And being that these creatures have rabbit like teeth they tend to chew on trees.
Average Size: -6-9 feet with males being larger.
Weapons: Brief summary of the weapons and attacks the monster has such as sharp claws, sharp teeth, crushing strength, etc. -They are quite strong and can easily shove something out of the way and their kick would be quite unpleasent -Tusks: The elongates canine like tusks can deal a lot of damage if they are unable to flee and scared. -Tail: They may also tail whip something
Occultic Properties: -none
Durability: 4/25
Agility: 6/25
Strength: 10/25
Special Properties: -They would make very good pack animals if some were caught.
Weaknesses: -Anything that can take out a deer can basically take this out pretty well.
Recommended Type and Category: Breaker category 1
Name: Gliocas

They seem fairly uninterested in humans though some have been seen to hold almost a bored curiosity. They do not respond well to any indication of threats and do not like being cornered or restrained. They seem able to understand speech with ease and able to mimic simple words. Occasionally some have been known to follow individuals around that they particularly favor as long as they are not disturbed. They are omnivores much like bears and known to hibernate. Females seem to have black ear feathers while males have an array of more vibrant ear feather coloration much like birds.
Average size: 9 ft (when standing on hind legs) 3 ft (all fours) males and females seem to get to the same size.
Weapons: Brief summary of the weapons and attacks the monster has such as sharp claws, sharp teeth, crushing strength, etc. -Claws: Much like bears they hold strong claws that can leave unpleasant wounds -Teeth: They have small cat like mouths, but can bite pretty hard -Owl head: They are able to turn their head completely around to look at something behind them -Hearing: They seem to have incredible hearing -Strength: They are easily able to throw multiple humans with a swipe of their paws or a toss of their horned heads -Horns: Resembling front ward facing water buffalo horns they are quite durable and can gouge should one of these creatures choose to harm something with them. Males seem to lock horns and head butt much like a ram during mating season.
Occultic Properties: -Shriek: Able to let out a high pitched shriek that ruptures ear drums and sometimes if they are angry enough kill -Mimic: They are known to mimic simple words, but occasionally can mimic the exact sound of a voice -Telepathic: This has yet to be observed but they can communicate telepathically in a clear voice that the listener finds soothing, this paired with shriek may be the cause for some deaths.

Weaknesses: -Hide: While they have a very thick bear like coat they are not immune to bullets -Corner: When cornered they seem to go from intelligent to blind rage causing them to make more mistakes -Sensory deprive: When they have no access to any of their sense they seem to stop functioning. Recommended Type and Category: Occultic category 3
Skills: -Sewing: She can sew a number of different fabrics from leather to satin (However lace gives her problems) -Fact relocation: Aka she can spot a creature and spit out facts about them. She can also be triggered by questions or words that relate to the facts she knows. -Tracking: She can look at tracks and not only know what they came from (if she has studied that creature) but also figure out where they went -Anatomy: Being that she has dissected many a monster she knows what a lot of them are like on the inside she has an advantage for if she has to fight them or if she is with someone better than her at fighting she can inform them of weak points -Climbing: Surprisingly she is quite good at climbing, and will use it as a defense. -Bow and arrow: Thanks to her father she has pretty decent marksmanship skills
Equipment: This is what your character has. Be reasonable with how much you take and I'd recommend a theme such as long ranged fighter, close ranged slugger, etc. -Handmade suit: She created a suit of armor from the hides of monsters and modified it with claws for protection from the very things that she is studying
minus the cape this is the result
-Skinning knives: Extremely sharp knives designed for taking away hide from flesh without resulting in too much damage -Rope: a 20ft rope she keeps coiled up -backpack with more equipment: this holds the rope along with things to aid in sample collection and writing down notes -The Swiftwind: A compound bow given to her by her ranger father that she pairs with a hip quiver...allowing for more ability to hold things on her back and faster loading. The bow itself is rather complex and meant to have enough power behind it to take down larger monsters...or at least slow them down. Paired with a sniper type attachment, she is prepared to defend herself with it.
Appearance: Castan is small at 5 ft and rather pixie looking. Her softer features make her appear younger than she is and her rather large golden hazel eyes give her a rather pixie appearance. She has more of a pair shape with her lower half holding more weight then her upper half and seems fit in a lean way. Her hair is a bright red and she keeps it short to keep out of the way when she researches.
Background: Castan was born to a ranger and a monster hunter both well known for their work. Raised amongst hunting and research led to a knowledge of the beasts that occupied the outside world in both how to kill them and how to use them. Her parents were not particularly cold to her, just busy. Often the time she would get with them was mainly when her mother was working and her father could both watch her and tell her all of his stories leading to a fascination with the creatures.
As Castan grew older she decided on the path of a monster biologist. This resulted in her going from her being watched to watching her mother work. Learning more about how to study the animals that were brought in for her mother to inspect. Often the monsters her father brought in were already dead and the goal was to inspect them for weak points, how to kill them better.
At the age of 18 she was assigned to go beyond the wall with her mother, to see what they could find in how to deal with the monsters and this is when her father was killed. Castan remembers it as a blur, a monster appearing suddenly and while her father and the rest of the team took it on she and her mother ran as they were not suited for fighting and their knowledge was valuable. Most of the team made it back, but her father did not. Her mother quit her research that week and collapsed into grief leaving Castan to practice her archery with the last gift she had received from her father and wonder just what would have happened if her father had had a better form of defense. She wanted to make something that would ensure something like that never happened again.
2 years ago she had her chance. With the excuse of starting up her mother’s research, she was able to gain access to different corpses of animals and create her first monster suit. Seeing its completion and marveling at its effectiveness she could not help but decide to keep it for herself and keep it a secret, rather she made it more understood that she wanted to copy the properties of the monsters...not steal their flesh.
Castan’s knowledge and research are what caught the attention of a few teams. She was not the weakest monster biologist and her goals would benefit a team...let alone if she could actually create her plans of suits that used similar builds to the monsters they faced.
Other: This is the part where you can add anything else you think would be good to know about your character or would like to add for characterization.
Wish:To understand monsters enough to help humanity or herself by using them.
Trauma: Castan’s father died protecting her mother and herself when a monster attacked. She had been on that trip as an apprentice to her mother and the resulting attack left her wanting to make better defenses against monsters.
okay so the backstory is a bit out there and the suit is not described fully just yet but I plan on creating a few critters and using some that trinity might make as always I am flexible to changing things but I figured this was a start
