The Masquerade Murders

Violet had been so ingrained in her notebook that she didn't realize there was a murder until the voices of those around her rose in volume. Her green eyes focused on the body and she turned her head away quickly, horror and fear coursing through her body. She closed her notebook, got to her feet, and quickly made her way to the opposite end of the ballroom, trying to put as much distance between herself and the horror as she could.
When she sat down in a new chair her hands were shaking.

Violet tends to be a very quiet and soft-spoken girl. One can always find her in her own world. If she isn't spaced out from existence she's normally writing in a small, leather-bound notebook that she protects heavily. She's uncomfortable around people, nervous that they'll try to take her notebook and read her writings.

Bio:
Violet's mother passed away when she was young, leaving her to live with her father who made his fortune selling books he wrote. Violet was raised to love stories and words. Like he father she began to write her own stories, wanting to follow in his footsteps to be an author. When her father was off signing books Violet was cared for by her maternal grandmother who taught her what she needed to know about life. She admired her grandmother and wished to be like her.
Other:
She's attending the event in place of her father and grandmother, both of whom are off at a book signing.
