Did you know that Dante's inferno is called a divine comedy because things work out for the protagonist? Back in the day, the only two genres were comedy and drama. The only difference was that in a comedy, the protagonist is better off at the end, and a drama is the opposite. So that's why a story about going through hell can still be considered a comedy, even if it's not funny.

Name:
Broken Promise, BP, Boss

Age:
Old enough to know better, too young to care. (that is to say 30's)

Preferred RPs:
I Prefer to make my own, but will occasionally join something if it looks interesting. I'll join just about anything so long as it isn’t overly edgy/sweet, though it's rare for me to do. I don't do 1x1s too often either.

Preferred Roles:
I tend to play adorable characters everyone wants to befriend or proper assholes everyone wants to stay away from. I try not to play moral paragons or prime evils.

RP Conquests:
I've completed quite a few RP's off site, but most of them are on private forums or have simply been lost to the ravages of server crashes. As for stuff here, I'm sure everyone who sees me post in the off topic sections has seen me find an excuse to talk about Danganronpa: Tower of Carnage. It's a project that took over 4 years to complete and I feel pride not only for myself but all the wonderful people who helped make it enjoyable during its run. Re: Zero: The High Council Is technically my first, but it was just something I kind of took over and ended up ending the story after just six months. It finished, but eh...

Last RP I finished was Symphony of Espers which turned out pretty good.

RP's in progress:
For some reason I can't seem to stay away from Ari's magical girl RP, even if I'm not sure why I'm still in it.

As for my own projects, I'm doing Symphony on High to continue the gigachad adventures of the espers in Pax Septimus.

RP Graveyard:
I've been pretty fortunate on this forum. I think I joined one when I first came on the site that didn't really do anything, and there are a few 1x1 things that didn't go anywhere. It's disappointing when an RP ends before it can be finished, but I've come to look at them as learning experiences.

And then there's that london magical girl RP, and that dark magical girl RP. I think I'm done joining magical girl RPs for a while.

Other interests:
Videos
I watch a lot of educational videos on youtube. Usually as research for something I’m writing or purely because a topic interests me. I like channels like Tier Zoo and Daryl Talks Games, and I’ll also watch things like Critical Drinker or Literature Devil to deepen my understanding of story telling. Though I also like memes and jokes, to which I’ll find myself watching stuff like Sseth, but usually find myself surfing through meme videos. I gotta work on that.

Games
I have a rather long history of playing virtually every platformer to come into existence during the indie boom, as well as quite a few other indie games. I’ve played Meatboy, Binding of Issac, Gunvolt, Cuphead, Princess Remedy in a World of Hurt, Classic Metroid, Warcraft 3, Final Fantasy 7,8, and 14, Left 4 Dead, Shantae, Celeste, Danganronpa, God Eater, the list goes on. What I’ve played is kind of all over the place. I don’t play many games these days, I tend to pick things that look interesting and go on a decent steam sale.

Painting Minis
I do this in moderation. Otherwise, it's a pretty expensive hobby to start...

Music
I listen to everything, save most country/rap songs. I have too many favorites to name.

Personality:
Not one to take life or the internet too seriously. Is only serious about writing well and having a good time.

People to Insult:
Dalton is a Dingus.

As spam bot touched on, you're not going to please a lot of roleplayers if you rule with an iron fist. You might want Dalton (player character) to be the one that relays the message to queen Jezebel (NPC) about the incoming sugar dragon invasion. Even though you'd like Dalton and Jezebel to meet up, events in the RP could make this condition very hard to fulfill. Maybe Dalton's player leaves, maybe Dalton tries to take on the sugar dragons himself, or maybe he has ongoing arrangements with another player that prevent him from meeting Jezebel at this time. It would be a lot easier to change that milestone from "Dalton must meet Jezebel" to "Someone must meet Jezebel," and then try to arrange the fated meeting later if you still feel it would be a cool hook. Most players do not want to help you write a novel, they want to become part of a world that reacts to their actions. It's fine to have hard progression flags for your story, but make sure they aren't so specific that only a single character can activate it.

Dervish's Guide to GMing is a pretty good read if you're serious about being a GM. But remember that like all things, it takes experience and time to get really good at it. That's not to say your first RP is doomed to fail (mine didn't), but there will be lots of room for improvement!

Faith let out a sigh and smiled. ”I guess we’ll work out the details of the alliance later.”

”I’m surprised that worked.” Lotus didn’t take her eyes off Shion. ”If you desire work, I might have use for you. But you’d be paid based on your results, and few things are worth that kind of money.”

”We should probably help with whatever’s going on at the graveyard.”

”We are part of an alliance now.” Lotus pointed at Shion. ”Consider my offer, and seek me out later if you are interested. If you can help track down our kidnapper, you will be compensated well for the task.”

"Speaking of compensation." Beatrice rubbed her fingers together, and Faith placed the bag of red coins in her hand.

Faith pointed in the direction of the graveyard. ”Take us awaaaaay~!” The octopus girl wrapped her arms around Faith and Beatrice before blasting off after Cindy.

Things seemed to be proceeding smoothly. Chloe was able to take full advantage of the distraction ,and Helga didn’t seem to be having any difficulties holding off the empowered monoliths. ”There’s nothing wrong with getting mad, Helga. I might have flown into a frenzy if you didn’t.”

There was little the remaining monoliths could do.They started to flee into the cloud, and the next blow from Chloe’s abomination shattered the white monolith to pieces. The miasma of poison was swept away on the current of Su’s wind.

Divina’s hand closed over the crystal. ”Gah!” She was starting to change into something. Dark magic enveloped her body, but she managed to remain standing. ”Acupuncture is not relaxing!” She raised her wings. ”As you’ll soon find out!” In a ditch effort to wound her attacker, her wings fired off the last of her feathers. They wouldn’t be growing back this time. ”I’m sorry Elroy, I’m sorry Beacon.” She sunk down onto all fours.

”Helga, keep your guard up.” Su looked at Chloe, but between the wind and her tone of voice, only Helga could hear her. ”That woman does not make me feel comfortable.”

Between Alexander’s pointy barrier and Emily’s flame trail, The slime creature couldn’t hold up. Its body boiled away and the massive eye dried out and blew apart into ash. Only Tonya remained, who paid little heed to them.

It was a simple matter for Mayra to phase through the umbrella. But she had greatly overestimated what she could do in the small space between Tonya’s open umbrella and Tonya herself. There was barely enough room for Mayra, and Tonya was putting all of her effort into moving forward as fast as possible. The beacon girl was bracing for impact, but she expected the the blow to be on the end of her umbrella, not her shoulder. This caused the two to bounce off of each other, but the open umbrella just pulled Mayra back into Tonya again while she was trying to regain her footing. It wasn’t a great situation for either of them, with Mayra’s super heated limbs burning Tonya, and Tonya’s barbed skin poking Mayra. It was a mess, and Tonya was howling the entire time, but they were able to become free of each other when Tona finally closed her umbrella. The fighting didn’t stop for a second though. Mayra immediately swung her tail at Tonya, who deflected the blow with ease. It was true that Mayra possessed strength beyond most magical girls, But it would soon become evident that Tonya was a kendo master. She knew just how to position her umbrella to both deflect incoming blows, and not leave any openings in her defenses. Mayra would not push past her defense with pure brute strength. Emily and Alexander could see the differences in the two’s fighting specialties. Tonya’s finesse and technique against Mayra might and cunning.A pillar of wind engulfed the combatants, whisking away Mayra’s flames bit by bit. After repelling one of Mayra’s swings, Tonya chucked a metal stein at her opponent’s head.

Well, this was it. Once Tonya was out of the picture, Mac would have full custody of her identity again. So what would she do to accelerate this battle?

Normally Mac wouldn't be against using lethal force against someone who would do nothing but offer her the same. But Alicia's mercy was still on Mac's mind. Maybe she'd just try to keep her distracted with some illusions and hope the others could end this peacefully. A courtesy to Alicia, the Beacon girl who acts more like a person than a zealot.

Abigail’s eyes flew open and she pushed the magician away from herself. ”Blagh!” She wiped her mouth on her sleeve. ”What just happened? I found Tonya, and she wanted to show me some of her new friends.” Her hand flew up. ”Wait…” Her eyes expanded into saucers. ”Wait, waiiiiiiit it’s coming back to me now.” She started to blush. ”That’s so embarrassing!” Abigail stomped her feet. She was kicking up dust as her face became more and more read. Oh god, that’s so embarrassing! With a deep breath, she managed to calm herself down. Abigail’s eyes looked wet. ”Bro was a pretty cool guy though. I don’t think he’d be too happy with me right now.” She turned to look at Shannon’s grave sight. ”At least she can tell him how I’m doing.” She sunk to her knees. ”I shouldn’t have pursued Tonya by myself, I knew she was acting strange…” Abigail was pulled out of her moping by the sudden detonation of the mana beast. As soon as the thing slammed into the ground, it erupted, scattering it’s mana into the air. Some of it could be absorbed by the magical girls, but most of it dissipated into the air, absorbed by the smoke wall that surrounded them. ”A-anyway, there’s no time to mope around guys! Sheesh! We need to stop Soth and those weird monster twins!” She raised a finger into the air. ”And if there’s something Beacon’s good at, it’s killing horrors and the monsters they employ! Bwahahahahahaha!” Abigail ran ahead of everyone. ”Look! A silver line! I bet this leads straight to the crypt.” She waved everyone on. ”I don’t have much mana, but together I bet we’re more than enough for these guys.”

“Okay!” After responding to Rina, Mika looked at Sil. “I don’t think I can put you down here, but Lupa will keep us safe.”

"Yea, there’s plenty of me to go around!." The imps weren’t going to pose much of a problem for anyone. Lupa’s four clones each split up so that one could assist Rina and Sammy while the other two remained by Lupa and Mika.

Tony, or whatever he had become, stood up. Four tendrils that looked like giant spider legs peeled out of its back. The clone of Lupa pounced at Tony, but was impaled by one of the tentacles before reaching their target. With a snarl, it took off running towards Rina. One of the imps managed to jump onto its back and rode towards their target. Lupa’s clone wasn’t able to react fast enough, leaving Rina to deal with the black tiger’s attack on her own. The imp squealed and threw its trident moments before the black tiger prepared to pounce onto its prey.

Sammy pulled off her hat and threw it at the ground. ”Damn it!” She stomped on it with her heel. ”I-I wasn’t able to deduce what would happen so long after Tony tried to open it.” Her voice cracked. ”Tony, I’ll avenge you!” She grabbed the sides of her head and looked at the barrier again. A tear was rolling down her cheek. ”There’s got to be a way to bypass the curse. I know another girl attacked this barrier and she turned out okay, so if you’re strong enough, you can probably survive the curse. But where does that leave people like me?”

"Talk to me!" Regina was able to dodge Penny’s tail easily enough, but was having less luck getting anything to effect Elroy.

Katarina would find it difficult to fire the massive sword in a way that Penny would be the only one to take hold of it, especially with how intertwined with Elroy she had become. So she chose to shoot the sword directly into Penny’s back. Her magic started to meld with the blade, making it impossible for Elroy to control. But Elroy was not going to remain stationary, despite Penny’s best efforts. He was able to muscle one of his arms out and take hold of the handle, causing his magic to turn the opposite side of the sword into Aegis. The two’s enchantments raced along the blade, and when they met, it snapped the blade in half. Penny had netted herself the bigger part of the sword, and the two monsters took in their newly acquired steel.

"I bet we could keep this fight going forever. But I’m going to admit that my earlier statement wasn’t entirely true. There is something I’d like to have after all." Several cracks opened up in Elroy’s body, and the chains coiled around Penny, pulling her tight against Elroy. Centering the beast’s head squarely over his own head. "Your life." He chuckled darkly.

Elroy’s massive body surged with magical energy as he summoned the entirety of his might for one last attack. He continued to grow and change. His body started to take on a less human shape and something more akin to a machine. Rounded corners became edges, his fingers curled into wheels. Before long he looked like an old steam engine. Only made out of rare metals and chained to a mechanical worm. Elroy was pushed into the sky by the cars under him, which emerged out of the earth. He was carried higher and higher, eventually piercing the cloud cover over head. The train carried Penny in an arc over the ghost twins before descending back to earth.

The power a train possesses is often severely underestimated. Modern trains carry thousands upon thousands of tons of cargo at speeds well over a hundred miles per hour. There are no modern weapons that can hit with the kind of force a train can generate.

The Engine of Destruction could move a bit, but there was no chewing through these chains now. Elroy had become durable enough to survive a mile of train crashing into him. Could anything match the might of Elroy’s tower of carnage?
It is difficult for me to pick my favorite among the ones that I have made. I do a lot of Gming, and by a GM's very nature they usually make and control a lot of characters. But the list gets considerably smaller when I only include characters in RPs where I was truly a player and not pulling the strings in a direct way. And the list becomes even smaller when I limit myself to only characters on this forum. With that criteria in mind, My favorite character is without a doubt the late Amber Bianchi, AKA Shining scale. I don't typically do characters like this. 28 year old hardware store managers who are transformed into tiny magical girls are not really what I expected to play. But random number generation has a way of presenting you with options that you normally wouldn't take. But Shining scale, the magical pirate girl was quite a character. She had a familiar called Sue and fought with a giant pirate cannon. But she was at her best interacting with other characters. I'm having a really hard time putting why she was so fun to play into words. I typically play in advanced level RPs with much more firmly defined mechanics, and this was just an experiment for me to see what happened when I cut lose with pure entropy.

You can read her first post here. It's a good primer, but things usually don't go that smoothly for her. She's usually stacked against odds she can only just barely escape, like this fight scene here I did with PlatinumSkink.

But now we're onto season 2 of the RP, and I'm a co-GM now. Amber met her end before the final fight, but her familiar has sort of taken things over in her stead. It's been a trip.

The Docks

"Oh my?" Mistress Vertti’s raised an eyebrow, and the other soon followed."Is it pulling very hard?" She reached for the fishing rod. "Do you need help?" But the next tug was strong enough to pull Grisaia to his feet .Mistress Vertti nearly fell forward, but was able to get her hands on the bow before tumbling over the edge. "It’s a big one!" She reached for a fishing spear on the side of the boat. It wasn’t big or heavy, but it was more than enough for most fish. "Don’t let it get away, Grisaia! That’s dinner!" She looked over the edge, waiting for the fish to show itself.

Golden quarter

”Nothing to eat, and none of these clothes look like they’ll fit me. But wait, what’s this? Is this a vorpal blade? I’d trade a foxy grandma hat for that…”

The Docks

It was quiet for a time. Not even the sea breeze made a sound while the two fished. Grisaia could only hear the sound of their breathing. Then she sighed again, and he could feel her weight shift around in the boat. Vertti had decided to sit down beside him. This was a lot of weight to have on one side of the boat, but she had moved everything to the other side to prevent them from capsizing."I didn’t want to worry you, but in hindsight I should have told you sooner." Mistress Vertti looked at Grisaia."I’m sorry." She looked back out towards the water. "It may seem like there’s a lot that separates us, from race to status. But I’ve always considered you more like a brother or a close friend than a house servant." She folded her hands in her lap. "I don’t think I’ve ever told anyone this, but I am only a Vertti in name alone." Vertti tucked her knees against her chest and wrapped her arms around them. "I was an orphan too. My parents took pity on me and raised me as their own. The war took all my brothers, and my sisters had since married and moved on. I think that’s one of the reasons I’ve always felt so close to you." She looked at Grisaia again. "I thank you for being patient with me. For being there for me, and looking out for my well being."

Gris's courtyard

Flame would find little to no trace of Chiyo, nor would he find the noble oni. Instead he would be confronted by one of his maids.

”Thank you, master Flame.” She reached into the cart of food and picked up a vegetable for examination. ”Master Gris is not present at the moment. He left without much notice. Something about tailing a killer.” She bowed. ”He did want me to tell you that you had the rest of the day off. My suggestion would be to go to the magic show being hosted at the docs. I believe he said he was going to try and catch it once he was done.”

Golden quarter

Shortly after Mirt arived, another individual in a cloak showed up. He too could be considered a rock moving between people. But the word rock hardly did this man justice. He was a boulder, if not a mountain. It was impossible for the man to walk around without getting people to look at him. But it didn’t take long for people to go about their business again like he had never even came through. He walked around to the back of Mie’s cart, so that none of the pedestrians could see him. He was standing in front of the door, where only Mie and the few people gathered around could get a look at him. That was when the giant threw off his cloak, revealing his strange appearance. His clothes were unfamiliar to everyone, and his jet black skin didn’t help his alien appearance. ”As a matter of fact, I’m looking for Mie too!” Mie would remember this man as the informant who gave her the job to kill Vertti. ”Tell her I’m waiting in here when she shows up.” He threw open the door and stepped inside, despite how impossibly large he was. ”I wonder if there’s any food in here? I’m getting a bit peckish.”

Lotus snorted. ”Hmmmm, How aggravating.” She watched Cindy approach Shion.

”Lotus, manners!” Faith looked at the coins and then to Julie. ”Ahem!” She smiled. ”So these coins, they were used on us already. We are the demonstration of how they work. It's a long story, but Lotus, myself, and a few other girls were offered a chance to participate in a test with these coins. We were told they could change aspects of ourselves that we didn't like. Not that there’s a lot to hate about being a demi-goddess~!” Faith placed a hand on her chest. ”But there were a few things I was unhappy with. I'm sure you know what that's like, right? Something about the shape of your body or your power. Not all magical girls are created equally. Few of us are here by our own choice.” She took a deep breath before stepping closer to Julie. ”This red coin though, it worked for me. It was and wasn't for several other girls. Lotus...” Faith leaned in close and whispered. Julie could feel the hair on the back of her neck stand up. There was something oddly soothing about Faith's quiet voice. ”Being a tiny girl with tentacles coming out of your head tends to give one body image issues. We all tell her she's beautiful, but it just makes her angry.” She coughed before pulling back. ”But regardless of how well the coins work, they just wouldn't let us go! We were kept in special cells, told very little about why we hadn't been released. Something about needing to study long term effects? I don’t know, maybe Lotus remembers more. I convinced our nearby cell mates to escape, and we broke out. We took the coins with us as penance of course. We're still looking for the one who imprisoned us, which is one of the reasons this alliance is so important to us.” Faith looked at the coins in Julie's hand. ”I can’t tell you more about the coins, but I hope hearing how they were discovered and used is satisfactory. I can summon my fellow escapees, but that will take some time. Lotus and I wanted to come see Cindy as fast as possible. I think we did pretty good considering our time constraints.”

Beatrice looked over Faith's shoulder at the coins. "Oh yea, I see some residual magical signatures from the coins on them. I was wondering what that was. Guess they really did use them." She folded her arms. "Can't say I have any desire to change though. I'm not against hording them myself. If Cindy doesn't want them, I might steal one just to say I have it, heh."

Faith chuckled. ”You would steal from Gaia's only daughter?”

"Don’t worry, You wouldn't know about it if I did. We could still be friends." Beatrice said this while lifting one of those strange bandages Faith had off of her person. Faith had a pretty good grip on her red coins, and those might belong to Cindy if she decided to go along with the alliance. "Wonder what the shrimp is going to do." She looked at Shion. "It’s a duplicate. Interesting." Beatrice’s smile widened.

When Mika, Lupa and all of her clones kicked off the roof of the mausoleum, they caused a few cracks to run down the roof of the structure. And then, when the clones landed with bombastic impact, the roof collapsed, crushing all of the horrorlings that were yet inside. After Shona's defeat, the horrorlings lost their magical empowerment completely, and were once again reduced to mere magical girl fodder, with the clones cleaning up after the two went to see Sil. After the conversation, Mika and Sil then noticed a silver line that popped out of the black smoke; based on the grooves in the dirt, they could tell a magical girl had created it as a breadcrumb trail for anyone to follow. And based on the sounds of fighting in the distance...It would lead straight to the very heart of the graveyard, where the source of conflict lied.

“Hey Mika!” Lupa pointed at the line. “Looks like the fight isn’t over yet. Maybe we can get to the heart of the conflict if we follow this line.”

Mika scooped up Silhouette like a bride. "Yea! That sounds like a good idea." She looked to Sam. "Thanks for sending your double to come help me, by the way. Guess I still have a bit to learn."

“Hey! Quit mopin’ Mika! There’s nothing wrong with getting by with a little help from your friends.” The other four clones joined her side. “Now let’s keep this party going!”

"Right!" Mika was rather pleased with what she discovered today. She had thought that she had to mentally command every action that Lupa had to perform. But it turned out She was capable of obeying simple commands, and seemed to behave like normal. At least what Mika thought of as normal. She didn’t really know the depth of Lupa’s personality in their short time together. But at the very least it didn’t seem like Lupa was behaving against her will. She felt alive, and that was something Mika could continue to use once this fight was all over. "Just hold onto me, Sil. We’ll have you back in fighting condition in no time!" That was an extremely optimistic, but so was Mika.

Su managed to recover before landing on the ground again. When she noticed Helga had shifted out of her enraged state, she breathed a sigh or relief. ”Well said, Helga.” She turned to look at Chloe's giant abomination. ”I'm less sure how I should feel about that.” But now was not the time for commentary. Su raised her hands above her head, and a mighty gale blew through the battlefield. It wasn't strong enough to hurt anyone, but the flying monoliths would have a hard time hitting their target in such a wind storm. Now that Su wasn't trying to keep herself and Helga afloat, she could start using larger spells.

Few of the monoliths could stand up to a pummeling from Helga's claws. Even in their strengthened state, they crumbled away with just a few hits. One of Helga's claws got stuck in a monolith, and she simply swung it into another one, shattering them like glass. Su's wind storm ensured they had limited opportunities to retaliate, and Helga made sure they fell before they could.

”W-what is that!?” Divina turned just in time to notice the giant monstrosity sprinting towards her. ”I knew you were an agent of darkness! And quit making fun of my feelings!” When the abomination slammed into the white monolith, it was enough to knock Divina off balance. ”What the-!” Before she could finish, the creature howled at her. ”Why is everything screaming at me!?” The white monolith fired a pillar of light at the abomination, and it went all the way through the thing. The creature's howl was cut short, but it could still stand, albeit a bit weaker and less nimble than it was before. But it had succeeded in stunning Divina.

Just a few extra well timed screams due to some illusion magic did wonders for one's ability to concentrate. That was to say it totally evaporated. But all this running around was making Mac tired. Not much longer though, she just had one last stop to make before checking in on the Bates themselves.

Between Mayra and Emily's flames, not many spiders were able to land on the ground. The few that did were quickly squished by Mayra's minions. They would still be pelted by burning rocks and overcooked apples, but that was relatively minor.

”They have horrors too!?” Tonya was not too happy with this recent development. She extended her umbrella out the hole in the bottom of the slime balloon and used it to block the incoming flames. She used the power of wind to draw the flames towards herself, keeping the slime monster safe. Without air, the balloon drifted towards the ground again. The lower altitude was making it easier for the pyro girls to simply bypass Tonya's wind all together and shoot for the slime directly. But by that point, Tonya was ready to make her move.

She allowed herself to fall out of the slime. Before she landed beside Emily and Alexander, she released all of the fire she had caught back at them in a single blast. It was hot and intense, but it took Tonya some time to land by their position, so they had a moment to prepare for it. The slime balloon had also turned into a slime blanket, and was descending directly onto Emily. Hundreds of tentacles tried to wrap around her every appendage and pull her into a slime cocoon.

”Now for YOU!”

The horrorlings Mayra summoned were little more than fodder for the enraged beacon girl. She left her umbrella open and charged straight for Mayra, screaming the entire time. Any attempt to cast a fire spell at her would simply be redirected into the umbrella. If something wasn’t done soon, Mayra risked getting impaled on Tonya’s umbrella.

All it took was a few items to fall before the rest of Aurellio’s clones were wiped out, save the one with the mana charge. A glacier had smashed into the ground and threw deadly shards in all directions. Such shards posed a moderate threat to a magical girl, but were far too much for the fragile clones. Fortunately, they proved to be too much for a lot of the cultists too. Even the warlock groaned as his cape was pierced by flying ice shards.

Janet and Jenna needed to moderate their mana expenditure. It was one thing to heal people, and another thing entirely to keep everyone’s mana topped up. Lily was using some potent spells, and the twins were starting to share in her exhaustion. The others would need to act fast if they wanted to have a shot at healing Abigail.

Shannon immediately taunted Abigail before trying to run off. Her stone daggers were fighting their way through the artificial gravity the entire time. ”Wha? That’s almost as unforgivable as what they said about me and bro!” Abigail thrust her hand towards Shannon, and a slew of objects flew towards her. Shannon was cut off by a cement mixing truck. Borrowing hadn’t helped her, as the vehicle sunk deep enough into the ground that it cut her off. The shock wave likely stunned her, even though it was impossible for her to get hit by flying debris. Following close behind was two planes that crashed on either side of her. Shannon had only one direction to move in, and Abigail knew it. Her next projectile was a Toyota Prius that created a deep crater directly behind her. Shannon was being bombarded by powerful shock waves, and didn’t have much time to act. The only path Shannon could possibly take was straight down. But that wasn’t going to protect her from the next attack. A steel pipe was dropped straight over Shannon’s position. Then like a nail under a hammer, The twenty-foot shaft was buried under a falling boulder. Aurelio couldn’t pick up on Shannon’s emotions anymore, nor could Janet and Jenna detect the presence of her mind. Shannon was gone. Her stone daggers clattered to the ground when her mana was no longer there to activate them.

But now they had their opening.

Lily was under a crazy number of magical enhancements, and was able to do some incredible feats with the window of opportunity she had. Lily could get within range of Abigail and turn her killing blow into a stunning blow, Which put a brief end to the incoming “meteor shower”. This further allowed Aurelio’s clone to interrupt the flow of mana coming out of the mana beast, which was made even longer when Rebecca dove onto the creature and stabbed it. The membrane around all that mana didn’t explode like Rebecca had hoped. But it did puncture the creature’s shell. But it did cause the mana beast to wail, seizing it’s mana restoring laser for a time. With Abigail unable to move, and her mana supply cut off, most of her effects ended. The repulsion field was deactivated, and the other thirty something items she had with her fell out of the air at once. That included Rebecca, who was holding onto the beast, and Lily, who was forced out of her magical girl form from the mana expenditure of her killing blow. While nothing was falling with the same force as “Sunder-Fury,” they would need to brace themselves for a rough landing. The twins were able to remain out of the way of any falling obstacles.

Aurelio did not fall however. His body was pulled closer to Abigail, who smiled at him as the two floated towards earth together.

”They’re going to kill me.” Abigail let out a nervous chuckle. ”I’ll continue to live, but this person I am now, brainwashed or not, will cease to exist.” She wrapped an arm around Aurelio’s shoulders, and placed her other hand on the back of his head. Abigail swallowed before continuing. ”Before everything ends, at least let me have this, bro.” She closed her eyes and pressed her lips against the magician’s cheek. She kept this up until the twins were close enough to heal Abigail’s Brain. With Abigail’s mana and mental defence dwindled to almost nothing, it would be a simple matter to restore her mind.

The warlock and the tar baby seemed to have vanished in the confusion.

Elroy's footsteps shook the earth as he charged towards Penny. "That new form suits you, tin worm." Elroy raised his two upper arms, and a web of chain appeared between them. "But worms should be feasting on dirt and corpses, and you're far too high above ground for that." Elroy had been hit by Penny's “mouth cannon” enough times to know it was surely an attack in the cards for her. So as soon as they came together, he pulled the chains over the hole in her face and locked his hands behind her head. His lower arms took turns throwing punches into the engine's torso. His cursed fists ate away at Penny's armor with every blow. Each hit ensured the next one would be that much stronger.

While assimilating her old arm had made Penny impervious to having her metal tampered with, she was still unable to gain any mass from it. Worse, the imps tridents also appeared to be made out of the same metal that Elroy was made up of. But she did manage to absorb a decorative fence that was used to divide several grave sights.

Regina was so distracted by what just transpired that she was frozen in place. She didn't even notice Rina approach until she spoke. "Gh!" Regina raised her hands in defense. But it seemed that Katarina was offering her a way out. It took her a moment to process the words. She was trembling in place. "Y-yes! That sounds agreeable." She placed a hand over her face. "I'm going to try to regain control of my brother, please try not to kill him." Regina shadow stepped her way on top of a grave stone and started firing at Elroy with her sniper rifle. None of her bullets were designed to harm, but they were curses and mental edits. Exactly what they were could only be distinguished by Regina or someone with third eye. Rina’s possition was almost overrun by incoming imps. But Alicia's arrows had bought her some time. And she was about to get even more time as a band of beast girls carved their way through their numbers.

"Remember us?" Lupa was still in her strange rhino-beetle-carapace-with-kangaroo-legs mode. Her four clones were fighting all around them.

“I’m Mika!” Mika was still carrying Sil in her arms. “That’s Lupa. We shared some donuts, and I never got your name.”

"What’s the game plan? The minions are only going to get stronger." Lupa was right. Larger imps were showing up, and soon it might not be enough to just stand on top of the gravestones.

Sammy turned up her nose to Summer. ”Regardless of how Binky is doing, you're using her to make more of those blasted coins. I wouldn't be surprised if Binky was the head of Beacon all along!” She closed her eyes. ”Anyway, you want to film me busting down your Barrier? Fine by me.” She “looked” at the barrier for a few seconds. ”This is a sturdy barrier, I'm impressed, Beacon. But I have deduced it's weakness!” Her eyes shot open. ”While it cannot be broken or dispersed easily, it can be briefly disrupted by strong attacks Big Tony hopped onto the ground. ”Now flee inside your stronghold, Beacon. My reinforcements will be here shortly. I suggest you destroy all evidence of your nefarious deeds before they get here. Consider it a mercy for not impeding me at this step of the investigation.” Tony Launched himself at the barrier. With a single swing of his claw, the barrier was briefly opened, allowing Summer and Alicia an opportunity to run inside.

Then it started to rain.
Pretty much how I GM things. A good informative read for anyone interested in taking up the mantle of GM.
As a GM who's primarily blamed themselves for everything that goes wrong in their RPs, some amazing things happen after a few years of doing that. Now when the shit hits the fan, instead of thinking "Well player X really screwed this RP over!" I now think "I know how to deal with this."

It isn't always the GM's fault, but the GM can usually get things back on track if they are skilled enough.
Guess this contest was a dud as well. But since you took the time to make an entry, I might as well review it.

@Calle Sonomi certainly fits the bill for the "best friend" role. Her curious nature and status as a mother makes her a very interesting character for any adventure. the species section was a great addition to the sheet and makes things a lot more organised. You really nailed everything one could reasonably want to know about this particular race. I would have appreciated a bit more on Sonomi in particular. I felt like most of her sheet leaned on her race rather than her as a character. If there were a few treejumpers having a conversation with one another I would be unable to pick her out from them, as most of her personality traits seem to fall in line with a typical treejumper. The bio was good however, It's clear that the most extraordinary thing in Sonomi's life hasn't happened to her yet, but she has a purpose and a family to protect.

Due to the contest section being kind of slow as of late, the last two contests being duds, dwindling time to RP, and not wanting to compete with official contests, I have decided that this will be my last contest for a while. Thank you to everyone who showed interest and especially those who participated!

Emily was use to night shifts and sleeping late. Waking up early on the other hand was not something the caretaker was use to. Her patients typically liked to sleep in too, and she based her life around the people she cared for. So waking up to the sound of Monokuma's voice was not the most pleasant experience for her. Hell, it could have been some dreamy guy and she'd still hate it. The night was horrible, extra horrible in fact. No matter mow many "NoCs" passed she would always be shaken by them. At least she hoped she would. It wouldn't really do for a care taker to not care about the people around her. This was a sign she still had her humility, so she welcomed the gloom.

What she didn't welcome was being trapped under her own body. Oh yes, everyone said she was gifted. God himself had endowed her with the perfect curves. Venus would feel jealousy, Jupiter would feel lust, Mars would take a bow. But these blasted curves were one of the resons why she didn't like waking up in the morning. She tried to sleep on her side, but she always ended up rolling onto her back. She could roll side to side, but it was never quite enough to get to the edge of the bed. And when it was, she'd usually just end up throwing herself off the edge. And that wasn't good either. But that was fine. Nobody expected anything of her in the morning. She could just relax for a bit before confronting the day.

*knock knock*

At least she thought. But someone was knocking on the door. By now everyone must have known how important her sleep was to her, so this had to be serious. Was Bliss having suicidal thoughts? Did Daimyon finally snap and kill someone? She couldn't just lay around! She had to get to the door. Another knock, another.

”Coming!” Emily flailed her arms in an attempt to get upright. It really wouldn't be so bad if she was just top heavy. But her dairyaire was also of considerable size. Unfortunately very little of it was muscle. She grit her teeth and tried to lean forward. ”Come on!” She pent her knees so that she had something to grab a hold of, and tried to sit up right. It was a lot like a tow truck trying to pull a buss out of a ditch, but as she straightened her legs, her torso was pulled upright. Emily could feel the weight of her breasts drawing her torso forward once her center of gravity was in the right place. ”If we had proper nurses, I might consider reduction surgery.” She slid her legs off the edge of the bed and ran to the door as fast as she could. Once there, she threw the door open. ”Max!” She was panting. ”What happened?!” That was when Emily noticed how cold it was. Of course in her haste, she forgot to put on anything more than the underwear she went to bed with. ”It's kind of cool this morning, isn't it?” She tried to play off her mistake with a joke, but it didn't make her feel any less embarrassed about this particular turn of events.
