Bio

Guess I should write this thing, huh?

It's me, Citrus Arms. I'm 32 now, married, an aspiring indie game dev, as well as a hobbyist writer. Well, who here isn't one of those. I've been meaning to write a book, but that's a big project and I've yet to finish more than a chapter and a prologue. Plotting a whole book is hard work, man.

I'm open to 1x1s and group RPs, feel free to invite me to something. I'm also part of a discord RP server of an old friend.

My favorite genres are fantasy and space, and I've got an original Universe that blends the two together. It's a post-apocalypse galaxy on the way to recovery, so there's everything from straight fantasy worlds to post-apocalypse survival available within the setting. The universe recovers and grows stronger with unity and inner strength.

Things had certainly gone fairly smoothly until this point. Even a slip up and no questions. Yet. Just had to stay consistent for a little while longer. They knew she wou- hey hey hey, keep it up. Pride just killed the mood, it would be very bad to slip up again, especially now. Why couldn't we have met androgynous? Just wait until we're done at the general's.

Speaking of the general; it was like hearing dear brother's voice again. That was no good. "If you really must know what little their is to tell of me, fine."

"Orphan. Went out and tried isolation for a while, didn't like it. Came back, and found myself a little pub to get comfy in; work for my needs met in a peaceful place. Things were fine until just the other day, too. Were you expecting something more impressive? In return, I'd like you to work on that awful impression of unity. Perhaps you're just under stress, but people scarcely want to cooperate with someone so Proud. More so now than ever. It'll remind them of something." By this time, they expected to have the general's eyes. They would maintain eye contact for as long as he would, staring deeply. "I only want our success."

"Good job, buddy! Lemme grab Ocul." The PokeBall was still shaking as she held the appropriate ball out. "Return." The light reached out and drew in the familiar creature before the ball was tucked away in her belt. "You worked really hard, too. Rest."

The third shake ended it a click! She'd caught the Joltic! She was on a hot streak on her first day, three pokemon caught so far. She should have bought a potion or two. Stella pet her ancient as she went to retrieve her PokeBall. The young lady checked her Pokedex for a status update on her Pokemon, and as she entered the nickname an idea came to her. There was one more Pokemon she wanted to get, that she'd seen around here, but she wasn't sure her team was ready for it. If she could take care of Kaebe, she could go in with confidence.

She sat in front of her jaw Pokemon, "sit with me, buddy. I've got an idea. Niblet, I have a request." She let her new Joltic out and looked at Kaebe, "you eat electricity, can you eat his electric paralysis?"
Stella Lumite

The hard-to-envision Struggle Bug hit its mark, dealing... Normal damage. Even though Joltic was clearly bug-type, it wouldn't be resistant to a bug-type move. More electric sparks from the grass cued her from any thoughts wandering around in her head.

"Ocul, dodge! Look out!" Stella plucked another empty PokeBall from her waist. She could see the center of the sparks and electricity, and could even see where the electro webs were coming from. The way the webs crackle in the air, had she mistaken that for paralysis before? Ocul might be alright, actually.

Kaebe hadn't understood what she'd commanded earlier, either, he looked at her with confusion. "Tail Whip, buddy. Use Tail Whip. It's in there somewhere, draw it out with your tail." She tossed the PokeBall into the tall grass, trusting her logic and the evidence in front of her to target the Joltic. If it was launching more webs, would it be able to move at the same time? "Probably too late for it, now, no doubt it's focused on Ocul. You can't see it in there, can you?"
Stella Lumite

If she thought about it, she'd never really heard of a trainer doing things quite like this. It was always one-on-one or some such. In a battle with another trainer, sure, you should have rules or it'll surely become chaos. Especially for something like a tournament. Could the rules be more interesting? Maybe. But the league will be as the league will be. Perhaps strict rules were best for this kind of thing.

But Stella wasn't really interested in the league, or battling. She wanted to study Pokemon, and battling was just a means to that end. To catch a Pokemon, and have the chance to really examine it, she'd fight just a little dirty, too.

With a dramatic point of her finger, "Tail Whip that Struggle Bug!" She didn't want to give away Ocul's presence any sooner than she had to, but had to give the order at the same time. With the both of her team suffering electric paralysis, this could be difficult. Her only other option was a wounded Yamper. Though, she did have that potion...

"My name? Hmm~, you'll have to make it up to me if you want my name." Their arrival had been too rough, he didn't feel like giving information away. He got a tour, anyway, though it was effectively unguided. Even though they were moving with purpose, Aiko was able to pick out a few things from about the city that they might like to investigate more later.

Unexpectedly, they entered a residential area after crossing a long bridge. What would the city look like, without the bridges? Would the island float freely around each other? Perhaps it used to be that way. There was also no guarantee that all the islands were connected to the city by bridge. Certain assets would be best left free floating and harder to find, wouldn't they? There must be secret islands, perhaps concealed by enchanted cloud cover.

Ah, but that wasn't their concern, just now. Maybe secret islands would be relevant later.

"Is that all you want? There are other ways, Yuka. Dare I say, better, less painful ways." Cuddle and call her sweetie? Come now, surely she knows an easier way to get that from them. Oh dear, oh dear. They just barely caught the glare from the human, oh hoh. Unafraid, but rather emboldened, Aiko mentally went over a clash between a demon's shadow magic and this human's lightning. Xavier's lack of control would be his undoing, certainly. Maybe the human had oomph, but power is nothing against sufficient skill.

The residential area on the far side of the bridge caught Aiko off guard. They weren't going to go to some military building? As they went through the large residential complex, Aiko understood more; it was a military building. The home of the general. Even had his own war room. To defeat his expectations again, Yuka held silent in front of the general. Xavier offered some proof of his magic, and Orias spoke. Dead for years, maybe, but a fine prince.

"Like a lone Phoenix from the ashes, the prince reveals himself in the hour of need. Tis-"

Is that going to be the theme, today? Interrupt the demon? They would have complained more, but the sight of Pride interrupted all thought. Pride had a human in his grip. They knew what was coming. More slaughter. Damn these broadcasts! Was there no way to shut them out from this invasion of their homes? Another distressed and restless night lay ahead. Good dreams would be hard to come by.

"Damn you, Pride." The seven sins were all involved? Aiko sighed slowly, rubbing their face for a moment before leaving their hand against their cheek. "Unity is our only viable solution. We will need all the help we can get."

It didn't take Aiko long to confirm Yuka's well-being. No, this didn't seem very fatal. The lioness was acting, and poorly at that. The demon in disguise couldn't help but roll their eyes. "Ah, yes, so grievously injured. So much so you'd do it again, is it?" Mm hm. It probably hurt, more than anything.

Xavier took the bait. Not everyone could see through cheap acting, apparently. Maiden? Aiko didn't have any hard evidence, but you'd be hard pressed to fool a succubus on such matters. They wouldn't say anything about it, though. Perhaps it was best to let the poor fool believe.

More importantly, he zapped her? Aiko took a look at Xavier. Elemental powers marked him as human. And, wait, what was that, from their elf companion? Orias? Hmm. Yes, his face was scarred enough to be that of a man who'd died once. The magic he'd been so scarcely able to offer unto the light above... Did that scrap of magic have something to do with the stories of his death?

What an amazingly rag-tag group of heroes they'd turned out to be. Where had Yuka even found this human? It was good to get him out from Roshmi, at any rate.

With Yuka well and the whole mess sorted out, Aiko straightened themselves out and have their parasol a twirl. Yes, this had gone smoothly. Now, they supposed it would be time to find out if this really was Prince Orias. That would certainly give them the leverage they'd need to gather allies.

"Perhaps you can give us a tour after we've met the general, Captain?" The fox followed along with the others, very carefully keeping their form. Military personnel didn't tend to let unknowns go by, so sneaking in a gender shift probably wouldn't go well.

Oof. Not a fraction of movement. In fact, the man stonewalled harder. Folks like this were likely to catch on to any alterations to their mental facilities, as well. No relaxing their way out of this one. "Believe me, captain. I want my normal, peaceful life back as much as the next guy. One where I can walk down the streets without worrying if I'll be seeing more bodies today... The first day of this war had been harsh enough." They hadn't actually seen the bodies, but had enough hearsay from a night of dream walking to know there must have been bodies. Terrible, mutilated bodies. That was it, though...

"Forgive me. I'm a little bitter, but for others, I expect bitterness is only the beginning. I have little right to comp-" Zap!

Aiko whirled about, having yet to rejoin the shoulders of his companions. Surprised mostly, maybe a little spooked, he quickly pieces together... Approximately what happened. Their latest companion seemed shocked and Yuka seemed less well than she was before, and somewhat frizzy. Whatever had happened, Aiko hurried to the designer's side.

"Ooooh, sweetie, are you ok?" He tried to tame her hair, running a hand over her hair. "Looks like whatever that was roughed you up, what happened? I was turned away..." He looked up at Xavier for a moment, questioning but not aggressive. He didn't seem confident about whatever had happened, and he didn't run away immediately.

Despite the crisis, they had to resist the rising desire to shift. Something about how Yuka had called them her sweet fluff had made the urge worse. If they weren't careful, they'd do it without noticing.

Damn! There it went! She could still see where it was vaguely, but it was so small, she was liable to lose it! It could easily run away, so she had to be careful. "Ocul, get down." She crouched and held her arm to the side, letting the bug descend from her shoulder and sneak off into the grass.

She had to keep an eye on the sky. Birds would likely take an interest in Ocul, she had to be sure he didn't get attacked by something else still without her knowing. She needed an item for paralysis, is what she needed... Could the Joltic suck the paralysis from Kaebe, though? She'd have to try it and find out.

Before she could issue another order, something electric shot out from the grass. It wasn't the bug, it was a net! "Kaebe, Ocul, split up and circle around!" She needed to get out of the way, too. With Kaebe and Ocul separating, she went to circle around with Kaebe. They were both considerably larger than Ocul, which might give the bug an opportunity to get under the Joltic's radar. Hopefully, Kaebe could move well enough.

Ahh, the avian city was refreshing, despite the sun. (It didn't really seem to be that much stronger here, actually.) Much less doom and gloom, much more ambient energies. Staying in Roshmi for such a gloomy day and night had actually been somewhat draining. They hadn't exactly been measuring their use of magic, though, so maybe if they were more restrained.

Just as quickly as he had approached the worker, the worker was dismissed by a rather formidable presence. "Ah. Hello." Aiko turned his head to examine the captain, tail flicking with interest. Such a dutiful presence, what dreams filled his mind at night? It was always so interesting, the different things different dreamers found palatable. These things had to be balanced, for a balanced diet, and this man might be a source of rare "loyal ambition". Maybe.

"Luckily for both of us, I am armed only with good looks. Not something you can take, even if you search me." He chuckled, though he wondered. This type usually went one of two ways. Either they got hot and bothered or they displayed zero interest. If he was the second type, being too thick with it would only backfire. He wanted a good impression; it was the desirable way into the Captain's dreams

"Your city is invigorating, after even just a day in the dreary remains of Roshmi. Not that it's gone anywhere, just that it's a shadow. I hope our visit can be so pleasant as the change of scenery."
