Myth

Around a dying campfire, several soldiers sit. Their limbs are still gangly and awkward, their faces that of fresh youth. Their armour fits poorly, and their weapons are crooked on their belts. Despite the gloom of the fog and the night, their expressions are merry. They laugh and jab insults at one another. (expand on this)

Once, they say, the Wyrmlord was a boy. A boy like any other in Paterdomus, if a little quiet.

Describe what is notable about your character in the form of a brief narrative. This would include their history (or maybe just speculation about it), distinctive features of appearance and personality, and remarkable abilities they may have, as well as anything else you feel should be mentioned. It doesn’t have to take the form of dialogue or a full story scene, but it can if you so prefer. Just remember to keep it fairly short - there’s no need to overdo this part.

Welp. I see someone else has already gone for a Wyrmlord archetype. Though I suppose my idea was more a 'rogue being' human/warlock who had an army of wyvern riders. Would that be okay, or are my hopes to be dashed against the rocks?

For Whom the Bell Tolls - A Zombie Survival RP

Hi! I'll admit that I'm a little rusty on the RP-regular front, but I'm hoping to see where this might go. I think I have an idea for a character, even...

As for my thoughts on the zombies

For the most part, I think the zombies should be the good ol' slow-paced shamblers, BUT in the case of the recently-deceased, they should be able to move fairly quickly. Rigor mortis sets in over time. And I'm on board with the mutant zombles, though it'd have to happen later rather than sooner.

I'm not sure how I feel about the everyone is infected premise, but that's just my preference. As for how it spreads - I reckon bites should be a snake-venom type deal, yeah. Bodily fluids might also be effective, though I'd say just blood-to-blood, and if a zombie has bloody hands, I see no reason that a scratch wouldn't infect someone. Otherwise, I think a scratch is just a scratch. I'd say that maybe people could survive for maybe a couple of hours at most, or something, after being infected by a zombie, but it shouldn't be something that can happen in the first few minutes.

When it comes to senses... I mean, I agree with the others. Freshly turned zombies have heightened/human-like senses, more decayed zombies might have poorer eyesight (I like the idea that they rely on sound). As for weaknesses... well, I'm conflicted on the light/dark front, but fire, 100% a weakness, regardless of what actually causes the infection. Increased heat means faster decay - and if it's a virus or bacteria, it'll kill the infection; if it's some sort of holy retribution, well, fire is just as effective there, no?

Human Foe A backs up, his eyes reflecting the fires of the night. Moving behind the cart so that it shields his body, he takes aim at... something? The arrow whistles into the sky. not to the keep or the road leading to it, but the air between it. Francesca Bourreau takes three points of piercing damage!
Half-Elf Foe takes a glance at the kobold that approaches them, and it points. They turn, and keeping themselves out of the sight of the strange attacker, move to the far wall.
Human Foe B, still prone, crawls closer to Human Foe A.
Halfling Foe flinches as a pink streak of light flashes above them, but it does not hit them. No, it instead kills Kobold E, who had tried to hide in the shadow of a doorway.

Kobold A, unnerved by the sudden attack, moves away from the main market.
Kobold B lies dead, their chest caved in from the magical attack.
Kobold C hears something, and they turn to face west; away from Vaal's group. They begin to move in that direction.
Kobold D hears a curse from its kin, and ventures down the wider alley. Just as they pass the barrel where Caw hides, the kenku strikes, his rapier all but skewering them (17). Caw pulls the body towards him in the shadows, one clawed hand covering the kobold's muzzle. Kobold D dies without a sound (Caw dealt a total of 10 damage).
The second bolt of pink strikes Kobold E, who had a few more seconds to react, but it is still a heavy blow. They are not long for this world.

The Urd sees one of its kin fall, and moves behind the wall. It now has half-cover.

Cassandra and Magdar

The human and dwarf move up, though they still keep their distance from the main square. Cassandra looks between Vaal and Rhaeyla, hoping for some kind of reassurance.

When the green-skinned kobold collapsed, the halfling was still for only a split second before ducking down behind a barrel, and the half-elf threw themselves across the market stall, attempting to get behind cover. The archer spun on his heels, his arrow skidding off into the night, unaware of where the attacker was hidden. The human woman, safely out of reach and not having seen the source of the commotion, called out. "What's happening?!"

The halfling began to gesticulate wildly for her to get down. She stared at them for a moment, before doing so.
