Personal Style: Aaliyah normally prefers to wear her hair freely and curled, she may at times tie it up for work or when out jogging. Her clothing is mostly of casual nature, depending on weather and temperatures, she would wear lo pros, high heels, boots, high heels boots but normally avoids knee highs. She often wears tank top, short or long sleeve shirts, off-shoulder tops, crop tops and cardigans of various colours. She also is comforatble wearing jeans, trackies and shorts. Personality: Aaliyah is an interesting person. She is sweet, caring and generally a kind person you can have a laugh with, she does enjoy a social life and meeting new people. But, to strangers and acquaintances, she may sometimes comes off as wary and closed to becoming friends straight of the bat, Trust takes time to earn. Aaliyah is far from soft-hearted though, considered at times to be a serious individual, an independent young woman who is driven, hardworking and determined when she really puts her mind to it. A free willed individual, Aaliyah refuses to let herself be restricted, to have boundaries placed on her and if she is confined anywhere, she will try and find a way out. She doesn’t like to rely on people if she can, liking her independence, liking her own strength, and she uses this particular strength to stand up to people and speak her mind if it is needed.
Generally, she tries to be the voice of reason amongst her friends, with varying levels of success. If she can’t be the voice of reason, she is generally the one to put things back to rights and pick up the pieces. She'll do what she can to help out a friend, though helping them achieve certain.. Ambitions is another matter for her. If she doesn't like something, She won't hesitate to let you know. Habits: When stressed Aaliyah has a constant habit pacing about or when sitting placing her head in her hands or even running them through her hair, she may even have a few extra drinks. Biography: Aaliyah Marie Cruz was originally born in Toronto, Canada and was the only child of the family, her mixed heritage coming from having an African Canadian mother and a Latin American father who had via a mutual friend. Aaliyah would spend the early years of her life in Canada Initially being raised by her mother while her father did periodic visits as he remained in the states with security guard job, the mother and daughter remained in Canada until Aaliyah was four years of age and they moved over to the states to be together as a whole family after a lengthy process. The young girl was always running around like young kids do her age, but it took time for her to adjust and make friends but was full of life, although at the time Aaliyah suffered with Asthma.
Despite all this, Aaliyah had a pretty normal upbringing with a pair of hard working but very loving parents, she did pretty well in her education and did performed well in sports where she could as she was quite the active type, refusing to let her Asthma hold her back, still she had to be careful. As time went on, the young girl would go on to be enrolled into the girl scouts for a while. It was not long before her teenage years that the first evidence of Aaliyah's Asthma had finally subsided and gone, of course this was good news as the teen was able to fully go out there and begin pushing herself and not get held back by it any longer. Aaliyah was a little rebellious in her teenage years, both her parents helping to channel her aggression once when she got into a fight with one of her long-time friends.
Aaliyah had it all planned out, she wanted to build on her own independence and tried mixing education and eventually once old enough with work to earn her way not get hand offs from her parent’s. Unfortunately, all that planning came to nothing when her got laid off from his job for a while, Aaliyah decided to drop out of college and concentrate on getting a job with more hours to help out, eventually Aaliyah managed to get a job as a waitress at a local pizzeria and Brewhouse. Overtime the now young woman worked on gaining her independence saving money once her father was back in work.
She saved up for things like a passport, driver’s license and even a car, she was always thankful of the time she spends with her family, she would often be spending quite a bit of time with her father at a shooting range, with him teaching her how to use a gun properly, she wasn’t initially good at it but got much better over time, but the bonding time she got with her father makes it absolutely worth it. Aaliyah even successfully got a CCW permit to. The biggest one was getting a place of her own, something the young woman eventually achieved with a little help from her parents, of course it felt weird but it worked out well.
One day a few months back, Aaliyah was at work when she became suddenly furiously ill and collapsing on the floor in pain, it was a horrific feeling, something she had never experienced in her life before as she was very quickly hospitalized. Her parents were notified immediately as doctors did everything they could to figure out what was happening to her believing it to be some sort of disease. It felt excruciating as she was hospitalized for the best part of a week before she began to show signs of recovery. Despite baffling the doctors and with a few days of observations Aaliyah was eventually cleared to go home, and a couple more weeks after that, she went back to work.
