Appearance: Well, the
first thing people tend to notice about Lily are her NUMEROUS scars-- they branch across her face and body, much like a treasure map, leading the viewer to beauty marks and other blemishes across her skin, all with their own stories. The scars, most small enough to be mistaken for beauty marks themselves, reach the corner of her dark and full lips, and snakes between two large, almond shaped eyes with irises of shifting gold and chocolate. The scars are more often found around the periphery of her face, reminders of times she forgot to pay attention to a small bit of wet rope whipping around-- she's also got quite a few across the bridge of her nose. Her eyes and lips are seemingly clear of these marks. Despite the scars, she does have a natural beauty that could shine through, if only she behaved less like a complete maniac more often.
The
second thing people tend to notice is her hair. Lily's mother, an 80's heroine through and through, wasn't particularly present in her life, but she did teach her this:
"The bigger the hair, the closer to God." As her father's-- or CAP, as he likes to go by, as his first mate, she's completely content with her life. Lily has very little interest in meeting God. However, she does wear her hair high up, and low down, as well. The fluffy, naturally-obsidian-but-often-exotically-colored lion's mane is her most prized possession-- its full length reaches well down to her lower back, and is the only part of her appearance she puts more that a passive effort into maintaining-- if it looks unkempt, that's because she spent 3 hours trying to make it looks that way.
Perhaps, after that, people may notice there is a person attached to this amazing head of hair and collection of nicks and cuts. Lily is a thin, but hearty girl, raised by the seas-- with an elongated hourglass figure, and almost no chest to show for it. Due almost entirely to genetic fuckery, with her lithe form, she stands tall at 5' 10". She's got little in the way of excess fat, her figured being shaped almost entirely by wiry muscle. Though, she isn't a complete muscular powerhouse, only weighing around 140 lbs. Her lower body is notably more muscled and toned than her upper body, due to near constant use of her 'sea-legs.' Her complexion changes with the lighting, though typically, she appears as more honey-golden brown, in very bright light her skin can be as fair as a dark olive tone.
Like her CAP, she dresses darkly, preferring blacks, band T-shirts, black jeans, or whatever sailor appropriate garments she can get her hands on. Her style isn't really consistent-- she is just a fan of black and will wear whatever. Only consistent traits are long black sashes worn in place of belts, and a general disdain for skirts and shoes. Another notable feature are her nails-- typically cracked, overly bitten and poorly done, she paints them in the color of whatever her hair is-- silver, right now. She moves her hand to cover her mouth when she speaks, less insecure about her pale yellowish-white teeth, opening her mouth exposes a few dental injuries.
Personality: Since she was a child, Lily has been something of a tough nut to crack, while she can appear to get along with pretty much everyone she comes into contact with, she is known to flip this switch in moments if she is angered. And she quick to anger. That being said she is also giving, and selfless-- and she will go to any length for those she cares about. So long as they don't piss her off in the process.
While not ill-tempered, Lily is rather childlike when becoming passionate about something. She can be prone to whining to get her way, and does not suffer boredom very well. To say she is impatient is an understatement. She is brave to a reckless degree and doesn't really think much in the way of long term plans. She instead prefers to string together pleasure from moment to moment.
On the side of knowledge-- well, while not formally trained in a prestigious naval academy-- her father taught her in the ways of...

Planet: Land of Song and Sand - There's never not a note being played in the air here. It's... a lot like the seas, actually-- but somehow worse in every way. The cities are far apart, and reaching one is like a poisoned oasis. The festivities are lively, but there is poison underneath everything-- they're like if Vegas and New Orleans had a baby, and it wanted to be like Twin Peaks.
Strife Deck: Chainkind - Fuckin' sick, right? Believe it or not, it used to be a literal anchor. Lily doesn't, and has never had the strength for wielding such a dumb weapon. Her CAP convinced her it would be cool when she was too young to realize how FUCKIN' STUPID that was. So for a long time she was stuck with that weight...
a literal fuckin' anchor. She is pretty sure, looking back, that this was one of CAP's weird psycho-pacifist ploys... But hey-- necessity is the... something? Of invention, though? Regardless-- she learned how to fight with it-- it just required a lot of precise timing, luck, and fuckery with the full functionality of her sylladex, both strife and captchalogue. Eventually, relying on a technical lack of friction and gravity to smash a ton of sea metal at things over and over again broke the thing-- and anchorkind became the much sexier chainkind.
