Holden, unmoving, glanced down at the note Izzy was handing him, and then back to Izzy. For some reason, his gaze felt like a splash of ice-water. "I'd rather not touch it..." He said, slowly. "Stolen goods. Harboring them makes me an accessory." After the note was read aloud by a humoring Izzy, he responded, "Oh, yeah, I have an idea of where that is. It's just a little beyond where I used to live. Shouldn't be difficult to find."

Holden stood beside Izzy at this point, listening intently to her explanation. His brows knitted together in seeming confusion, but regardless he said, "Hmm. I think I have a general understanding of what's happening now."

Mikey seemed less enthused. "Well I'd love to tell you, now that you've backed me into a corner, but right now you have my paper." He... had a point. It seemed a bit obvious in retrospect but he was just a kid, and if he could remember an address off the top of his head he probably wouldn't have written it down.

Reexamining the paper now that she wasn't playing keepaway with it, Izzy could just about make out what it actually said. She could get a number and a street name out of it at least. The map was still incomprehensible. Hadn't Holden just said that he used to live around here? Maybe he knew where the address was.

Micheal narrowed his eyes at Izzy, obviously distrustful. "First of all, lady, I'm eleven, so get it right." He crossed his arms at her and continued, "My name is Micheal Hendrickson, it's a precious name given to me by my mom and dad, so you can just call me Mikey. All I'm trying to do is make it to the address that's written on the paper you stole, so if you'd cough it up already I can get back to doing so."

"Izzy," A voice sounded behind her. It was Holden who apparently rose from his seat on the bench during the commotion. "I know I'll probably regret asking, but what exactly is the situation here?"

As he became aware of Holden's presence, Mikey angled himself to put Izzy between Holden and himself. Holden certainly didn't seem to be the type that was fond of or even particularly tolerant of children, and it wasn't outside the realm of possibility that Mikey could sense that in him. Either that, or being that he seemed generally distrustful by nature, being confronted by two strangers at once made him particularly cautious.

Micheal's brow furrowed in frustration, "Of course I'm lost, I'm a lost little calf." A strange expression, but probably one he picked up off of one of his parents. "Now give me back my note, so you can get lost. I don't need you bothering me, you, you..." He struggled to think of what to call Izzy, as she hadn't said her name yet, "Smelly woman!"

The child's note was... not quite as illuminating as Izzy had hoped. About as she expected, it was equal parts map and address, but both were inscribed in marker and crayon, worked together into a frankly illegible, jumbled mess. It seemed that Micheal's handiwork on his nametag was on one of his better days. The page had even been illuminated with doodles of various animals and cartoonish faces, which were the most recognizable symbols on the note.

Micheal didn't take kindly to Izzy's forwardness, however, and his protests were generally keeping her from examining the page as closely as she would have liked. "Ah! I need that! Thief! Criminal! Give it back! You'll rue the day!" He shouted at her as he jumped and tried to grab it back. Izzy wasn't especially tall, and so while she was still able to keep it out of his reach, she had to keep angling and moving it to avoid him snatching it back out of her hands.
Finn stood uncomfortably among the others on his team, visibly sweltering. He swatted at various insects harassing him, whispering threats to them as Judith barked orders at the team, himself included. Looking up at her, he nodded halfheartedly to acknowledge what she was saying, and though he was taken slightly off guard, caught the shield she tossed him. He idly wondered what she really expected him to do with it; he wasn't really strong enough to stand up to a magical attack, even with a shield.

Finn prepared to scry upon the enemy team's plans. Lowering his arms to his sides, his eyelids fluttered and his head lolled about his shoulders as he entered a prophetic trance. This lasted only a moment until the luminescence of his eyes sparked like the green pulse of a setting sun, his eyes shooting open and his mouth agape as vision flooded his mind. Chalice, blade, and pentacle, wand aloft.

He returned from his vision just as quickly as he entered it, the brilliance of his eyes returning to their normal levels. "They plan to misdirect us," he said calmly, as though he was merely relaying information he had heard or read. "Stand firm, play defensively. Don't give them openings to exploit." When asked about the extent of his control over water, he merely said, "I get by."

As he was given access to a relatively large pool of water to work with, the first thing Finn did was to disperse as much of it as he could until a fine mist covered most of the clearing where their flag was kept. The rest of the water persisted as a shallow pool that settled overtop of the muddy earth rather than be absorbed into it. Finn took off his shoes and set them atop a tree stump, relishing the cool water and the relief from the heat it brought him.
Yeah considering the lukewarm the response, and the rapid dropoff of activity, I'm gonna draw this one closed. No need to keep people waiting around, especially as my interest in this has admittedly cooled considerably.

As Izzy responded to him, even crouching to be at his level, he returned her sentiments with another loaded look, this time delivered dead at eye level. Like the one before, it was still unbelievably condescending. Izzy had not known previously that a child was capable of both that level of contempt and the ability to clearly express it nonverbally. For all intent and purposes, if he had asked her if she was an idiot out loud, it wouldn't have gotten his point across any more clearly. That said, he did not actually say anything to her, and returned to his note after staring at her for a moment.

Holden was apparently getting quite the show. "Not sure what you're trying to accomplish," he said, just loud enough for Izzy to hear, as he continued to rest cross-legged on the bench.
@DracoLunaris No complaints, looks fine to me.

Are we waiting on others? The crew seems a bit sparse at the moment.
