Nationality: Earth Kingdom, Ba Sing Se

Appearance/clothing style: Chaya wears clothing quite similar to the picture, however, her shirt actually turns into wraps for the sleeves, progressing long at a dark green/brown color that blends in with the earth to her wrists. Instead of metal bracers, she wears stone gloves and shoes, the same tools used by the Dai Li agents. Her hair is usually kept in a single braid that reaches down to her waist, secured tightly with a circlet of stone that allows her to bend her braid with a whip of her head, snapping it like a whip.

Personal Information

Positive personality traits: Chaya is decisive and tactful, knowing just how much to commit and when to cut her losses. She is a a powerful force to be reckoned with, and she knows how to get what she wants. She's used to being told no, and she's used to finding compromises to achieve her goals. She is powerful, supportive, and loyal. She refuses to abandon others, and believes in a higher sense of justice. Honor is close to her heart, and she refuses to cross her own moral boundaries.
Negative personality traits: On the flip side, Chaya is stone cold. Mercy is never considered unless it's a dire situation. The strong survive, and the weak perish. While Chaya won't kick someone while they're down, she will knock them to the dirt without a second thought. The powerful have the right to say something, but those beneath her should keep their mouths shut; That is, in Chaya's eyes, they should. Her temper is easily provoked, and she had a tendency to lose control when someone bests her, falling into self destructive tendencies to prove she's the best.
Role: Antagonist.
History: To be revealed in IC (Kinda ruins it if you know the antagonists motives from day one, right?)
Special interests/skills/hobbies: Chaya is trained in the Dai Li style of stealth and balance. She uses precise bending rather than the usual brute force of her kin. Additionally, Chaya is capable of metal bending, however, it has not been honed to its finest. Tremor sense is another talent of Chaya's. Sand bending is something that Chaya excels at, however, she prefers to use her stone armor as a weapon instead. She is a tactical mastermind.

Nationality: Air Nomads

Appearance/clothing style: Tenzin has sharp features, marked by his well defined jawline and tightly muscled body. He has sky blue eyes, skin tanned from the many years of roaming he has participated in, and a lithe form from rigorous training and the healthy diet of many air nomads. His hair is normally kept shaved to provide full view of his tattoos, marking his mastery over air bending, however, recently he has let it grow out. Air nomad clothing has evolved since the return of the Air nation, resulting in varied styles. Tenzin wears white and brown robes, modest adornment for a travelling monk.

Tenzin's clothing is identical to the picture, except he has fitted pants and his outfit is less baggy, keeping tightly to his form so that when he bends it does not inhibit him.

Personal Information

Positive personality traits: Tenzin is compassionate, kind, generous, and uplifting. As an Air nomad, gentleness is something that is second nature to him. While he does have a playful, fiery spirit, he is quite tame in comparison to more aggressive people. Never far from assisting another, Tenzin puts others above himself, and fiercely defends anyone from injustice. His loyalty is a double edged sword, in the sense that he will lay down his life for you, but, if he deems it for your own good, will turn his own hand against you to keep you safe.
Negative personality traits: Tenzin is slow to anger, and quick to forgive. Tenzin will often times forgive one too many times. Additionally, Tenzin is much more quick to combat than other nomads, creating tension between him and his kin. While he is quite spiritually inclined, as a descendant of Avatar Aang, he is not as patient as the nomads would like. He sees himself as above others, and struggles with accepting that he isn't the smartest in the room.
Role: Air Bending Mentor to Rosai
History: Tenzin has spent his entire life as an Air nomad. As the grandson of Jinora, Avatar Aang's granddaughter, he was held to higher standards than others, especially due to his namesake. Tenzin trained diligently and persistently, obtaining his tattoos by the time he was sixteen. From there, he set out to be a travelling Air nomad, exploring the world and lending his aid in settling disputes.

Tenzin was sent on many diplomatic missions to represent the Air nomads, and he succeeded more often than not. He and his siblings all followed this path, bringing peace and assistance mainly to the rural areas of the world. When the world began to worry that the Avatar had not reincarnated, Tenzin was tasked with searching for them, among many others from all four nations. Tenzin has been searching for the Earth Avatar since he was seventeen, bringing his assistance to any area he passed through along the way. Like his grandmother did many years before him,
Tenzin travels the world, searching for the Avatar's spiritual signal.
Special interests/skills/hobbies: Tenzin is quite spiritually inclined, allowing him to enter the spirit world while in deep meditation, commune with other spirits, and even, in rare instances, use his bending to satiate and influence spirits in the physical world to prevent them from harming others. Additionally, he has spent a great deal of time learning an offensive form of Air bending used primarily by Zaheer, focusing not on moving air, but instead on creating vacuums in the air.
Relationships]: Tenzin is the grandson of Jinora. He has two older siblings, named Kenji and Hitana, both skilled benders, however, Hitana is a water bender (obtained through his father, who is an air acolyte and the grandson of a water bender).
Anything else worth mentioning: Tenzin's robes have gliding capabilities, however, he primarily uses his staff to fly.

S3 Spoils

After Korra opened the Spirit Portals (Harmonic Convergence), a great awakening swept through the world, granting the ability to bend air to many non-benders. That's how Zaheer gains the ability to escape his prison and free his comrades to ascend to become one of the most talented air benders of all time, before he is defeated by Korra before he can end her avatar cycle.

I assume these new Air benders would be able to pass it along to their kids.

Question: Am I allowed to make my air bending mentor a descendant of Tenzin and therefore be named after Tenzin? I figure he'd be either Jinora or Rohan's grandson.

@Wick I imagined him on the older side compared to the others, probably 40-45. As a Wesen he's probably still plenty fit enough to fight, and he would be a veteran. Other than that, take creative liberty!

Elias noted the pain on Alexis features, pleased that she seemed to be approaching the situation in a manner that was different from her signature burn-it-to-hell method. Rather than forcing her partner away, she was finally opening up to him in a way that Elias felt he could work with. Up until this point, it had been explosive emotions and violent conclusions as Alexis delivered brutal honestly and Elias deflected with callous apathy and fierce defensiveness. Taric had never been one to let his emotions seize control of him in times of crisis, and that had been part of what made him and Elias such a dynamic duo. Alexis reflecting the same quality that endeared the Grimm to Taric tugged at his heart strings, urging him to reveal his true emotions.

Sighing deeply, Elias consciously softened his features, meeting his partner's eyes with a vulnerable look in his own. He needed to word his next sentences perfectly, or he might never have this opportunity with Alexis again. The Grimm needed to explain, not excuse, himself, and then work from there.

"Back when I was with Taric..." Elias paused, licking his lips before proceeding. "He never said anything about what I did with women. He always left that part to me, and he never really wanted to be a part of anything like that. I used my charm to get into people's inner circles, and work from there to eradicate hostile Wesen. After that, it just became a... an addiction."

Elias shifted slightly so that he could fully face Alexis, wincing at the pain in his shoulder. "Since his death, I've been hiding from anything that makes me feel, that reminds me of him. You remind me of him. Shutting you out... it's been numbing the pain. But I can't do that anymore. You're so like him, y'know. Taric would have liked you."

Elias smiled softly, letting memories of his old partner run through his mind. "I'm sorry I've been avoiding you and blocking you out. I'm scared that if I get close to you, I'll lose another partner. I can't go through that again, but it occurs now to me that forcing you away just makes you run off on your own. I can't say I have any right to do what I did, only that I apologize for the hurt it caused you. I was running away."

With a sharp intake of breath, Elias sat up, using his good arm to prop himself up before extending it outwards towards Alexis, curling in his lower two fingers to symbolize the embrace of oaths. Elias didn't know if Alexis knew enough about Grimm culture to understand what he was proposing, or even if it was a tradition in the East, but he offered his hand regardless.

"When two Grimms lock hands like this, they swear themselves to an oath that proclaims that the two are now partners for their entire lives, pledging to fight, win, and hunt together, and to avenge the other if they fall in battle. Me and Taric took that oath once... Many, many years ago... I swore to his vengeance, or die trying. I succeeded, and thus I was freed from my oath. I never wanted to make such an oath again, but I think I'm ready to, if you're willing."

Inhaling deeply, Elias straightening his back and held his hand in the air between him and Alexis, suspended in anticipation of her response. "Alexis Grimm, I ask to bind to you under Grimm law."

Ugh, do I need to find a new image for Elias. I'm really not entirely certain what to search, because my search results always end up with oddly disproportionate monks at monasteries tending to their flowers. XD What do you search?

I don't really wanna post for Sophie's partner until I can get an image for him.
