Wafer D. Kite - Tick Tock Goes the... Is that a clock?

Kite smiled and nodded at the words of his new captain. If nothing else, he could help run such a simple errand. So, he tagged along with Boone under the pretense of the man getting himself a new watch. Still, walking along the streets of this new land, an island Kite had never been was interesting. If he'd had the time he'd have explored every inch of it. He was itching to run off, but his pride as a Shipwright, and his status as a new member of a pirate crew trumped the childish curiosity. Plus, he was sure he could learn a lot more just conversing and studying the crew. He'd only caught glimpses of them after all, but his interest had been piqued. It was amazing the things he had yet to see. Bonesword and Caesar for instance. Or Lilliana's B-MO. That just scratched the surface too.

Still, he couldn't help but smile when he entered the shop with Captain Boone. From the cogs and springs to the mechanisms themselves and the strange looking one the old man was working on. The old man himself was funny. He behaved oddly. Kite couldn't help but chuckle at his antics. "Hmmmm..." Kite contemplated glancing at the captain occasionally before shrugging with a light chuckle. They didn't even really know what it was. "I don't mind helping him out if you don't mind waiting Captain." He said with a smile as he reached into his pocket to pull out his bandanna. "After all, any information on that'll help us survive down the road could be useful." He added as he tied the cloth in place. He tilted his head once to the left and then to the right feeling and hearing the pops that came with the movement. He rolled his shoulders backwards and forwards.

Kite was stiff after the sleep, which came after the fight, which came after what felt like an eternity of exhaustion and pain. "After that I can get to work on the ship so we can set sail." He grinned. Nothing made him happier than getting to put his skills to work.

@Spiffy
@Darkmoon AngelWell, a nerf in regen could even be it takes energy or stamina because it's not something you do often. But also make it take longer from larger scale injuries. Like you won't be reforming from straight vapor immediately. But maybe in a couple days. or weeks. (In this case I would provide a time skip or something, so you'd have to leave that as a last ditch effort). Maybe the candy beam could work no problem on anything inorganic, and maybe one of the things you're working on is practicing and perfecting it's use on living beings. I'm big on giving the characters the room to grow, without them starting off too weak or boring. We can discuss this more on Discord or over PM if you want. I generally try to be amicable and cooperative. Although, if you and another both want Majin I will likely choose one or the other, unless both are great characters, then I would cap it at two. Definitely no more than two though.

We'll be starting around Ginyu Force level. Not quite as strong as Ginyu himself, but definitely not as weak as say Raditz or the Saibamen (unless that's what you prefer. Range is important after all).
@Darkmoon AngelAs far as Majins go, you would need to create a compelling story as to why a majin would be roaming free, is he/she the prime or original majin of this world/timeline, and most likely you would need to nerf him/her greatly.

@rocketrobie2glad to have you.

We've got a fair amount of interest, so for the next 2-3 days I will be getting to work on the OOC. I would give you all the Character Application now, but I'm still in the middle of reworking one from a friend to better fit this game. Still don't be afraid to brainstorm and what not.
I figured lol. It's more for world building than anything lol
@DemousYessir, you may create your own race, but be prepared to for questions and possibly an arc to go against them. I am likely to use a Saiyan Character I have. I'm trying not to have too many Saiyans though. So maybe 1 or 2 besides my character. I want everyone to have a chance to grow stronger and the like.
Noice noice
Getting hyped
Awesome! Glad to hear it :'D
Dragon Ball: {Not yet made subtitle 1-2 words}

Dragon Ball: {Subtitle} will take place in an alternate universe devoid of a majority of the characters generally associated with the established canon. This is partially to avoid falling into the pit of the canon events and to shape them to our own liking. However, some characters from across the Dragon Ball spectrum may make appearance if the need arises, or if they are able to play an important role in the plot.

For instance, we will be making use of the Frieza Family. The reason for this choice is that it would make no sense to create another Frieza-esque character for the beginning plot line I have in mind. If it's just like Frieza, just use Frieza.

So, we have the Planet Trade Organization. The Planet Trade Organization is something of a family business. It deals in the conquering, acquisition, enslavement and/or selling of planets. The heads of this organization include the mighty King Cold and his two sons, Cooler and Frieza. The most well known of this organization however, is the sect led and ruled over by the younger son, Frieza. He is a tyrant who rules with an iron fist, leading his sect of the organization, rebranded the "Galactic Frieza Army." His forces are regarded to house the most elite warriors the galaxy has ever seen. His father is is revered as the head above Frieza, his brother somewhat unknown, forgotten even by those who know Frieza.

As the players there will be two general groups you can be apart of. A rebellion (the ol' cliche) or Frieza's army. My character will not be playing the role of the rebel leader and he will actually show up sporadically as a Frieza member if nobody else is on that side. He isn't evil, but he isn't good either. And he has his motivations.

Dying will be possible. If we never learn of the Dragon Balls, that's it, you're dead until further notice. It's also important to note that if you have a character who fights, but doesn't train, other characters who do train will over take you. It will not just be assumed that you train. You will lose fights. I will lose fights. Everyone will lose some and win some.

The first arc will focus primarily on character introduction, meetings, and not as much on combat.

Player discussion is important. If you are in the rebellion it's not very big, so lets say a it has been around somewhere between 6 months and a year. Frieza's forces, and the PTO, have obviously been around much longer.

If you make a character of a particular race, be prepared to work with me to better flesh out said race, as is often necessary for many races that appear. I see no reason for Namekians to be present, at least not in the beginning. Not for a while anyway. I already have a few planet ideas. I can discuss now, or put some in the OOC if I get a little interest.

Now, a couple important things:
  • Unless I have no choice, but to give up I am in things for the long haul. I hope you will be too.
  • I can sometimes be late. I sometimes make mistakes.
  • I will let you guys know whenever possible if I will be gone.
  • I will likely make a discord chat. I may also make a doc on Google to help me in my note taking and musing.
  • If you lose interest, wish to leave, don't want to play, let me know. I can at least write you out, or have you leave in a respectful, narratively sound way and won't have to worry about you just disappearing.
  • This is not first come first serve. I will give anybody a chance to apply and decide which characters I think will mesh or clash well enough to drive the plot forward and make for a fun game.
  • I am not without bias, but I try to be as impartial as possible when it comes to character judgment.
  • I will always try to be civil, but I will also be honest. I apologize if I seem like a dick, but I will not apologize for the honesty.
  • I'll accept somewhere between 7 and 10 players (unless given a good reason I will not budge on 10 as the cap)
  • As I said, communication will be key. I know socialization sucks, but if you aren't planning to make an effort, probably best not to join.

So, are there any takers?
It had been a relatively simple day for Mamoru. He'd expected his father, Akihiko, to be late in getting ready as was the usual, but he was surprisingly in good spirits and ready to move. The sentiment of seeing a good friend wasn't lost on the teen. He smiled and shook his head. He'd dressed himself up formally as was the typical attire of the Simon and Vongola. Especially for meetings like this. It helped that he he had begun home schooling roughly 2 years ago so as to begin his training and induction into the mafia world. So, he didn't need t worry about public school things.

For as long as anyone could remember though, the Simon and Vongola had been known to break tradition. This was especially noted by the style of suit worn by the heir of the Simon. He wore a custom made suit with a red lining and a hood of all things. His father wore red as well, though it was in the form of a red undershirt, mostly covered by his black tie and jacket. He had moments of unorthodox decision making and behavior, but he was still a traditional mafioso. As the two began to head for the airport Mamoru noticed Akihiko put on a pair of sunglasses and a hat. It would help hide who he was when traveling, due to spying eyes, even if just a bit. He put on sunglasses of his own and then his hood.

Far away, an unknown onlooker spoke softly to radio information to his allies. "The mice have entered the maze." He said as if trying tofurther mask his behavior.

"We're the only ones with this radio frequency and it's constantly shifting to avoid compromise. Talk normally you idiot." Another voice, a female responded. The two bickered for a moment, but were soon interrupted.

"If you two are done. We have our own flight to catch. The time is fast approaching." The voice was female, though it struck a note in the two. Whether it called for fear or obedience was a blurred line, but all the same, she commanded respect and she got it.

"Yes ma'am." The two responded in unison.

"Now move." She ordered.

Soon the meeting was underway. Mamoru sat quietly though could occasionally be caught sneaking peeks around the base, the rooms they sat in and the doors when they finally came to the meeting room. The 12th Vongola Boss and his Guardians meeting with the 12th Simon Boss and his Guardians, all for the spectacle of a young man set to become the 13th boss of the Simon Famiglia. And all he was waiting for was his childhood friend. Come to think of it, why hadn't she been here already? She better not have been slacking off while he was gone.

Then she burst in. Ringo Sawada. In all her quirky, awkwardness he couldn't help but crack a smile. Still it vanished the second his father's guardians looked at him. they'd never let him live that down. "Nice of you to join us, dork." He teased as he stood up to greet her. "How've ya been?" He added as he walked around everyone, stopping only when he was in front of her. He held up his hand for her to take. "Hope you haven't been getting into too much trouble while I was gone."
Alistair Kemikaru

• Chihaiten Academy, Sakai (Japan) •

Mr. Kemikaru silently watched over the class of what he could only suppose were a troublesome bunch. He sighed and stood to speak, just barely a second before Isamu rolled into the room. Soon the young boy would be helped to his feet with a small, meek “thank you” to the young man who’d helped. Not wanting another outburst, Kemikaru cleared his throat and stepped out from behind his desk.

“Thank you for helping our resident latecomer Mr. Watanamiya.” He said as the class quieted down, since their teacher had decided to grace them with his voice (sarcasm ye?). His eyes roamed the room once more though he didn’t take the time to have Rikuo and Isamu return to their seats, or find a seat in the case of Isamu, because he was preparing to have the class move out. “We’ll be heading to the field area of our school. I’ll give you all time to change into your gym uniforms and report to me.” He said sternly.

“F-field area?” Isamu questioned inaudibly as he dreaded the idea that he’d just arrived and already he would be put to some form of exercise. And here he’d though he would have it a little easier now that he’d actually made it to school. Not to mention he was winded after a long run.

“I will explain more in detail what we’ll be doing once you’re all their, though I’m sure some of you may have an inkling of an idea already.” He chuckled softly ignoring the relative fear on young Isamu’s face. “Still, for now, I recommend everyone follow closely and move quickly. There’s only so much time in the day.” He said simply before turning to walk out of the room. From there he would lead the students to the field where he would direct them all to the student locker rooms. Maybe somewhere down the line he would be able to tell them where to go without worry, but for now he would have to take charge. That was the mark of a good homeroom teacher.

**********

Isamu hadn’t even had time to properly thank and greet the classmate who’d helped him up before Mr. Kemikaru had begun his class. Even so, he might not have been much the conversationalist. He couldn’t help but noticed that just about everyone was a giant in comparison to himself. Not only that, his head was practically still spinning. And yet there they were, following Mr. Kemikaru, at least he was, to the field area where they would likely have a small display of quirks and abilities. How could he hope to match up?

The small boy quivered as Kemikaru directed him and others to the locker rooms. His mind was running a hundred miles per hour. He shook his head as he put on the gym uniform. He took a deep breath. “Don’tFreakOutDon’tFreakOutDon’tFreakOutDon’tFreakOutDon’tFreakOut.” He repeated over and over under his breath. What were they all capable of? How could he match up? He was tiny. How? Isamu was on the verge of freaking out, despite his mantra.
