Richard looked at Winnifried recalling the few details that he knows about her magecraft before speaking. "Don't mind her, just chalk it out to her flavor of magecraft induced weirdness." he answered with experience. His unique standing with the Association led to him meeting various disciplines of magecraft, he found a number of common denominators the most memorable of which is that practicing magecraft will inevitably lead you into becoming a weirdo.

Some are just more apparent than others.

He watched the ladies enter the bedroom leaving him at Fathma outside, he isn't sure on what he could than stand guard and be ready to enter in a moment's notice. He's not an investigator in the first place.

But he could at least keep a conversation and who knows it might lead to something.

"You can decide to not answer, if this is too personal but I noticed the photos. I can't exactly describe it but it is like you and your felt like strangers living in the same house?"

He knew some of his cousins that are like that, at least at the start.

"I might be barking at the wrong tree but is there a chance Evan resents you?"
Minerva

The mostly white haired pilot stared at the prince with bewildered eyes measuring the amount of exaggeration he is making to ensure that Ava would take the mantle of leadership. Not that she is objecting but cornering her to be a leader rubs her the wrong way. If she's willing to go along with his speech however then she will just keep her silence. She is more used to following orders than making one herself.

After clearing up a few details, Minerva decided to take a few deep breaths to prepare her mind for the upcoming battle. Her concentration would temporarily be broken up by Griff's challenge as she eventually rolled her eyes. Let him be, she's planning to win this battle bet or not.

This is annoying.

Minerva stared at the sight on her screen, someone messed up when submitting the formation and she is now in the back instead of the wing. An inconvenience especially with the egghead forbidding movement.

She began charging up her booster, she would just need to compensate with speed then.

"Argo, all systems ready." she spoke before adding a few more words as she heard Argent reiterate their plan. "Copy that Argent."

She would then set her comms to a private one, directing a succinct message to the pilot of Squid before disconnecting.

"Focus on your task, I don't need your help." she spoke in a level tone, not truly interested at the buffoon who might need to be humbled once again.
Thespian

The reveal of fire's ineffectiveness only emboldened Thespian to be more daring. Swinging her staff to the lion's head before barely evading its claws. She couldn't help but smile as she went at it again.

Answering that app is the best decision she made in her life even better that than leaving that unchanging cage that is her childhood world.

Thespian stepped back as she let the arrows hit the lion, part of her pities it, as it is likely trapped in a cage to be transported to be might be a circus. To be turned into nothing but a main attraction.

Shirona realised what she is thinking and quickly stopped her line of thought.

Ahh... she let her thoughts out and projected her past on this mindless beast. That's not how a journalist acts then again she's more of a tabloid photographer and she's not really looking for a career.

Realising that she is losing her mind to stray thoughts, she swung her staff one last time hopefully finishing the lion for good. Death is a better fate than her fantasy after all.
Minerva

Minerva silently listened to the prince's proposed alteration, staring at him with the eyes of an attentive judge, not noticing the bubbling hate Astolfo is accumulating on her. Perhaps she noticed but failed to comprehend how intense the hate he is feeling towards her.

"A sound proposal." she admitted to Bug as he recalled that snipers are usually given a high degree of freedom to maximise their safety and battlefield impact.

That's Apollo's Framewerk, why is that here? No, he is good at hiding, there is no way...

The blood leaking out says otherwise.

Minerva's thoughts would return to reality as one of the newcomers expressed approval of her plan. His name is Zel-Ghin, if she remembered correctly.

"Rejected." she coldly spoke as she stared at Bug with sharp eyes. "As you stated your firepower is one of few viable means to overcome Aurora and her Sleeping Thunder, leaving it exposed and unattended would be too risky. You should position yourself behind everyone and take potshots when you can." she added with an uncharacteristic mix of genuine concern she hides within risk assessment. She is not willing to back down on this decision no matter what the man says.

Fortunately for him, Ava spoke with a plan better playing with their strengths and a compromise that she could accept. It would split their forces a bit more but also improve the cohesion and leave the roles clear. "I support this plan." she spoke to Serah as stared at everyone. "It makes use of our strengths while leaving our roles open enough for adjustments." she added to the team as she marked her vote in favor of Ava’s plan.

Whether intentionally or not, the plan also placed Minerva in her comfort zone operating alone against overwhelming odds. A small smile formed on her face, it's been a while since she faced other human pilots. She is excited to see how she will stack up to them.

Cristina Bernardino

”Right, give me a moment.” Cristina spoke as she finally regained control of her powers, turning the reflection of space in the sunlit sky, revealing the city untouched save for its municipal hall. She really came out of nowhere.

”So what now?” she asked the task force as she checked her former before leaving Myron to deal with it. She would then turn to everyone else as she got reintroduced as a veteran.

In a sense, she is indeed one.

Richard looks at the photo with slight concern, he might be wrong and the photos are used on phones but it appears that the relationship between their client and her son. It wasn’t his place to speak though.

”I could stand guard outside, just yell if my help is needed.” Richard spoke as he took a bite of his boluses, clearing his mind as he looked at the client.

”Just a question, does the ‘demon’ hearing tempt him with something? Having an offer is common staple for their kind if I am right?”
Minerva

The clone patiently waited for everyone to finally gather at the table, using the to create the frameworks of her plan. She needs to consider a lot of things; everyone's lack of familiarity with each other, the possibility of clashing egos and the lack of information regarding their terrain. Considering everything she came to a conclusion.

An effective plan needs to be simple, concise and open to flexibility while playing to their own strengths.

If that's the case then...

"Is there any problem, Cadet Gene? she asked with genuine concern as she looked at her. They might have the numbers advantage but she would like her team to be working at their best, especially her. If she cannot face her, then she will at least keep an eye to see what makes her special.

She let out a cough to get everyone's attention. She waited and pondered long enough.

"Alright here's the plan..." Minerva spoke as she made a summary of their situation. Suggesting the splitting of the entire team into two groups.

One would focus on holding the front line, taking advantage of their ability to survive and the enemy’s weaker direct firepower.

The other would be a form of mobile cavalry taking down high priority targets like the Sleeping Thunder through a combination of speed and stealth.

That is the plan, simple, concise and flexible. Of course such a plan is not without its flaws but she believes she made the best of her hand.

"You seemed to have something on your mind, your highness. Care to share your wisdom?" she spoke to Bug in an encouraging tone as if she was expecting something.
Minerva

Minerva stared silently as she gathered her thoughts about the mission, a simple, improvisational team deathmatch. In her opinion it is an excellent blend of showcasing the individual pilot's capabilities while providing an opportunity for a leader to seize the leave. It felt a little haphazard but she knew how pressure could push the coals into the diamonds.

She took a look at her allies which comprises of one of the newly arrived twins, the woman who carried the air of a veteran, a Lilim that she is pretty sure outdated and the guy who is self professed is an engineer and not a fighter. Not a terrible line-up although there are two members that garners her attention.

She is concerned about the prince, their last conversation has been weirdly hostile and there is a good chance that his attitude will ruin the team chemistry, Concerning but it is better than having Griff as a teammate, he could be the other team’s problem.

Her gaze briefly laid on Serah as something uncomfortable went inside her chest.

She is made to be excellent, every single part of her body represents what the best of humanity can offer. She trained participated in countless battles. And yet, someone who as far as she is concerned is an ordinary girl has better aptitude as a pilot than her.

If she is allowed to be honest she is hoping to face her and see that aptitude for herself

She tapped her communicator before speaking.

“Task Force Mango, meet me at the corner table. Let’s have a strategy meeting.” she monotonely spoke as she head to said table and patiently wait.
Thespian

“Everyone be careful, it is resistant to flames.” Thespian yelled uncharacteristic seriousness, her usual bravado and flair gone. She might be a bit dramatic but she is very aware when she needs to treat a situation carefully and her other self’s greatest attack being shrugged off is one of those situations.

She took the moment Nobleese gave to give the staff a few practice swings. Watching as she the Persona of great general signed a paper and cloaked her. A protection skill against fire? Likely but not guaranteed.

Does it even matter though?

Using her staff as a pole, she would leap into the air before slamming her staff to the lion’s head, playfully hitting the lion with surprising speed and grace.
Minerva

“They left around a minute ago, I just stayed a bit because well…” Minerva paused for a while as if she was looking for a reason she stayed. She can’t just say that she focused too hard on the video that she didn’t notice everyone leaving.

Well she had an idea.

“Here, go pass it to Griff, he should at least give it a quick read especially the part where everyone died they can’t keep it in the pants.” Minerva said she aimlessly as she transferred a file of her notes to Arrish before standing.

“With my business settled, I suppose it’s time for me to leave. I don’t know where he is but he is likely at the gyms working out or something.” she spoke as she walked away.
