Bio

I'm a hooman in the latter half of their twenties. Roleplaying is a thing that I've been doing as a hobby on and off for a while now. It keeps my mind occupied. Some some about idle hands, ya know.

Below's my IC that I try to keep as updated as possible.

But I'm always down to just chat.

Mai hadn’t made it that far away from the warehouse when she heard footsteps behind her. Looking back behind her, she cursed when she saw a few officers chasing after her. They must’ve seen her leave the warehouse. Next time, she wasn’t going to linger as long as she did.

Knowing that her companions would need the authorities to be distracted, Mai weaved her way through the area. She led the police through various alleyways and other abandoned warehouses in the neighborhood. During the chase Mai would keep the police close, but not close enough for her to get caught. Occasionally, she would feint being tired only to escape when the officers got close to her.

After a while, Mai found herself on the rooftop of another warehouse, waiting for the officers to catch up to her. They were all climbing the fire escape to get up, but what they didn’t know was there was another, more dilapidated, one on the other side that Mai would use to escape once they were close enough.

Taking a sip from her flask, Mai looked in the direction of the other warehouse. From what she could tell, it seemed like the inferno had died down a bit, meaning that the fire department had arrived. She should probably take her leave as well then. If there were still hunters who have yet to have gotten away, tough luck. Mai had kept the police occupied for long enough.

As soon as she saw a hand grabbing the edge of the roof, Mai made her descent down the other fire escape. It creaked a little at her weight, but surprisingly held. Once she was back on solid ground, Mai kept to the shadows as she escaped industrial district, keeping to the shadows to avoid being detected again.
Cursing, Mai dodge the pillar of flame that lit up next to her as she slashed through another attacking yurei. She should have known that more personalities were going to show up. It seemed like the DHA had sent the memo out to anyone and everyone to come to the warehouse, and while the help was- kind of- appreciated, she was definitely getting irritated by all the new hunters. Surely, they could exercise some discretion, right?

Luckily, she didn’t have much time to think about her coworkers as another yurei decided they would try to fling a two-by-four at her. Mai jumped out of the way at the last moment, but rather than landing on the solid ground, she almost lost her footing as she landed on a black root that sprung from the ground. Following the voice, Mai turned to see a giant treant roaring as it reared its ugly head. Ah, maybe this was why the DHA called everyone to the warehouse. A real life Trevenant was certainly more of a handful to deal with than some yurei.

Cutting herself down, Mai got out of the raging tree’s way as it started to attack the catwalk. From her higher perch, she had noticed a few bodies lying on the ground and wanted to take a closer look. Hopefully, they were just unconscious, but she was quite doubtful. Even from above, the bodies looked too still to be alive. Her suspicions were confirmed when she checked the first body for a pulse. Mai was about to check the other body when another explosion rocked the night. To make matter worse, she immediately heard the tell tale wailing of police sirens in the distance. Definitely a clusterfuck of the night.

"Oi! Rocks and the wounded!" She heard what sounded like Beniha’s voice filtering through the air. Agreeing with the other Japanese hunter’s commands, Mai made her way out of the warehouse. Although she wanted to take a rock for herself, Mai watched as one spread and began to overtake the corpse near her and decided to cut her losses. Someone else could figure out how to transport those things; she had no intentions of carrying a ticking time bomb.

Before exiting, Mai looked back one last time to make sure they hadn’t left anyone behind. As she scanned the fiery building, the ominous voice came through her head to give its warning. Mai noticed the spirit on the other side of the warehouse, though it vanished almost immediately after speaking. It made her wonder if the figure had been there the entire time, quietly watching the scene unfold. Sighing, Mai sheath her sword and headed out into the night. She could ponder those things when she was somewhere safer.
Mai finished tying up her hair, watching as the other hunters made their grand entrance into the warehouse. She was almost annoyed at being called out to this mission. It was the middle of winter. Things were supposed to be slow during this time of year. She was supposed to be enjoying a tokkuri of sake right now, not prepping to storm a warehouse.

The mission already seemed strange to her. Traditionally, yurei were creatures that could not properly pass on after death. The negative emotions that stopped them from moving on twisted them into more powerful devils. But why would a group of them be attracted to a run down structure like this warehouse? There certainly wasn’t much for them out here in the outskirts of town.; this area of Siracha city was pretty much abandoned.

“Westerners,” she muttered as she watched someone explode through the bay doors of the derelict building before alighting the area on fire with some gas. Considering the current situation, Mai didn’t mind the help; the branch definitely needed to do something as more reports of devil hunter deaths filed in. However, she thought it was strange for the DHA to call them to this warehouse. It was only a group of Yurei. Surely they didn’t need everyone to deal with these specters.

Unsheathing her sword, Mai entered the warehouse from the back. Since most of the yurei were distracted by her louder, more flashy counterparts, she was able to skillfully cut down the specters from behind, dodging any items that came her way. As she made her way through the warehouse, Mai kept an eye out for anything unusual. There had to be something else going on around her.

not that you need more people, but this seems interesting.

Welcome to my soapbox.

Roleplaying Preferences:
  • Partners must be 18+.
  • I’m pretty chill about posting frequency so long as we communicate our expectations. I can’t necessarily post every day, so I do not expect you to.
  • Quality over quantity. I do expect meaningful replies with good grammar. I typically write 2+ paragraphs and ask you match that. One liners bore me quite quickly.
  • Plot over porn. I don’t mind smut, but I do not care for it, nor do I want an rp that’s just smut. We can fade to black if you want. Also hella down for platonic roleplays.
  • Typically I’ll play male characters and I have no preference on pairings. MxF, MxM, FxF, whatever. LGBTA+ friendly. Would love to play non-binary characters.
  • I love developing plots and world build with my partners so please don’t hesitate to suggest ideas, especially if something below interests you.

I am also interested in exploring polyamorous relationships (platonic or not) in rps. If that's something you are too, let me know!

Thanks for making it this far. PM me if anything catches your eye!

ello. I've been roleplaying in various corners of the web for years now but then life got busy. Now that it's slowed down, I'd figured I try it out again. Typically gravitate towards fantasy/scifi rps but I'm willing to try anything that catches my interest!
